The house was perfect, clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed.
10.0 / 10.0
We wanted a nice calm part of the lake to bring our kids for a getaway before the school year begins. This was IT! The home was comfortable, well maintained, and most importantly the dock was great! Clean water, kayaks, and there were floaties and a lily pad to use. We had a few (thanks Amazon!) that we left in the dock box for others to use. The only complaint is all the stairs to get to the dock but we considered that our workout for the day ;-)

We would stay again.

We were looking for some time away as a family and got just that. The home had all the kitchen items so we could cook our meals. We really appreciated using the dock, kayaks, etc. The location was quiet, remote, and calm. We loved the winding roads and travels to the various small towns around us. Be ready for a few spiders or bugs. It didn’t bother us because, well, that’s lake life and wooded areas. We all spent the days swimming, fishing, rented a boat from a nearby marina… then the evening we got to all hang out together. It was good family time that we needed!

Cozy house. The house has been updated and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable! The deck was a great place to hangout and we definitely used the fire pit. If you plan to do much cooking, make sure to bring the utensils you will need, not a lot to work with. The stairs to the dock are steep and numerous. If anyone has trouble with stairs or gets out of breath easily may not be the place for you. The dock itself was great! They had a lily pad, kayaks and life jackets there to use. We had a great stay!

The house is very beautiful and comfortable also well outfitted with dishes, pot and pans. We like to cook when we stay. The walk to and from the water is steep but the stairs and ramps are well maintained. Our adult children enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock.

This house was cozy, clean, and decorated nicely. Has a great deck off the living room. But note that it is a hard walk back up to the house from the dock. But the dock is nice and we enjoyed using the kayaks in the cove. The location is ok, I got a little carsick anytime we went anywhere, but the neighborhood is pretty quiet.

Very clean and fun property. We would come back.

The property was great. Bedding, appliances, cleanliness was very good. My only complaint was that the gas grill was filthy and I could not use it. Also as it was cold and rainy the ramp to the front door was terribly slippery as well as the ramp to the dock. I actually slipped at the bottom of the ramp to the dock. Scary. All else considered we had a great time.

I spent three nights at this home with my best friend for a relaxing fall getaway. It was too cold to brave the water but we did enjoy fires on the porch in the beautiful fall leaves. The home is beautiful and very clean. Check in/out process was a breeze. We had everything we needed there in the home. There is a dollar general about 10 minutes max away that was easy to shop.
I appreciate that the home is pet friendly. I would stay here again for another relaxing getaway.

Loved the house. Well stocked kitchen and baths. Very comfortable beds in all 3 bedrooms! Very nice deck and heavily wooded surroundings. Steps/walk down to the lake was long but all 4 of us 70+ people handled it just fine. Dock area is very nice too. Would definitely stay here again!
6.0 / 10.0
We enjoyed our stay and all was good but we would have liked to have been able to sit out on the deck but it was fairly unusable because the cushions were filthy and should be put away in between stays in the chest outside to protect them and the dock and walkway to and from the dock was way too steep for us. And a few of us are in decent shape!! But that was our main complaint. Other than that, and the rough roads to get in and out, we really liked the house and the accommodations. It was what we all needed.

The house is beautifully decorated and a nice layout. The furniture isn’t real comfy. The deck is awesome. It feels like you are sitting in a tree house. Lots of birds, squirrels to watch and just take in the peacefulness. It doesn’t overlook the water which would have been nice to see when the guys were fishing. You can barely see it through the trees in spots. There are a lot of stairs to the water and it is pretty steep. The dock is great. We caught catfish, bass, an alligator gar fish. We enjoyed the kayaks.
The amenities are fair. Small shampoo, conditioner and soaps including dish soap are supplied. The kitchen was limited on bake ware. There aren’t any bowls with lids to store cooked things in. Usually at the VRBO’s we have stayed in the past there are a few staples left by previous guests. Like salt and pepper, some spices, maybe some flour, foil, a 9x13 pan. Just know to bring anything you may need if planning on cooking there. I’m not trying to sound like a grump just some suggestions. We had a lovely week long stay and would recommend.

Great cabin on Grand Lake! Our family of 5 really enjoyed our time there! Dock is perfect for your boat/jet ski, kids enjoyed fishing from the dock too! Located off the main part of the lake, and provides some shelter from wind and other boat traffic. The walk up from the dock could prove challenging for older adults or those with health issues.

A nice house in the woods with everything we needed for a great relaxing time away from the daily stresses. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. I would definitely stay at this house again and bring the boat next time.

It is so challenging finding a property that is pet friendly and wheelchair friendly. Our daughter, who has disabilities, thoroughly enjoys relaxing outside. The ramp allowed her access to the house and deck, which was absolutely perfect. She enjoyed every aspect of relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of nature on the large deck. Our dogs were well contained on the free to roam safely on the deck as well. My son and I made the trip down to the dock, which was very nice. Indeed, you may want to take your time on the return trip back up. My only complaint was the dishwasher was full of dishes from the guests before us (clean, although not put away). Other than that, it was a fabulous location to reset and rejuvenate before everyone headed back to work and college.

We and our friends stayed here for 5 days/4 nights over New Years. It was the perfect place for the four of us!
We had great weather during our stay and were able to utilize the deck, the dock and the kayaks. Yes, there are quite a few stairs down to the dock, but we decided to look at it as an opportunity for exercise so it was not an issue for any of us.
The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, dishware, etc. The only thing I would suggest is the more kitchen towels be made available (we only had 2). We remedied that by purchasing paper towels (none were provided), but it would have been nice to not create so much trash/waste from the paper towels.
We were able to deal with the heat rising to the second floor by turning on the ceiling fan above the dining room table, the ceiling fan in the bedroom and cracking the window open. Otherwise, the temp in the cabin was pleasant.
Overall, this cabin was just right for our little group, and I would recommend it!

Our grown children are scattered but we gathered for a weekend of cooking and playing board games. We thought it was a little closer to the actual lake than it was but it was pretty chilly so we really didn’t miss much and the views of the trees in their color changing glory was amazing!

Good stay, relaxing, disappointed not life jackets for the kayaks. But a great stay none the less. Wasp nest in the metal siding, our youngest was stung but she is a trooper and didn't let it phase her. Nice Kitten at the home and a beautiful fox in the back yard in the morning. All in all a great stay.

The property was very nice, spent mornings and evenings on the deck since the weather was so nice; very relaxing. We are all seniors and the dock is 80 steps down and up a steep hill. We all struggled a bit with the going up part. The kayaking was fun!

Great experience. House was very clean and had a great ambiance. Pretty comfortable furniture. The outside and the deck were also clean. The stairs going down to the lake is a workout but the bags provider helped us take what we needed. I would recommend to have life jackets at least one for an adult and one for a kid. Also towels hooks to hand after use. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. Overall it was an amazing time! Thanks for having us.

Nice secluded location with great lake access.
Second time to stay here, you won’t need for anything as it is well equipped. The AC worked great and it was a 100 everyday. The dock is great and has 2 sea doo slips and a boat slip. This location is hard to beat as the cove this is in is very calm and larger than many local lakes.

Lake cabin nice for family trip
Overall, a great place to stay. As others have noted, the roads are a little rough, but nothing crazy. Home was a greatj setup and worked well for us. There was a little confusion upon check in but owner was sure to make up for it.
Home could use a deep clean and a few extra linens and towels.

Great house and excellent porch! Loved the dock access as well. To top it off we left an item behind and host was kind enough to mail it to us. Great experience.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway
We LOVED our weekend at this property! The interior is very cozy and it was the perfect size for our family. The deck is a great place to hangout and the ceiling fan/light over the seating area is a nice touch that lets you be outside even when the temp & humidity are a bit higher. Yes, the steps down to the dock are steep, but even with my asthma I was able to do them - just slower than what I would do "regular" stairs. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Shelton!

New Years
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The property manager went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. They left us everything to make s’mores and we appreciated it. We would like to return in the future maybe in the summer to enjoy the lake.

There isn’t one thing that could have made it any better. It was perfect for our family.
We would rent this property again. 5 star experience!

The actual home is beautiful. The steps down to the water are extremely steep, there are a total of 88 steps. The home is cold (we stayed in the fall), when the heater is on the heat rises to the second floor and gets unbearably warm. We brought motorcycles and the surrounding roads and driveway made us unable to ride or get out of the driveway in a reasonable manner. Extremely uncomfortable that there are cameras on the property; felt a lack of privacy. How to make this better: better storage in the rooms, fix the heater issue, lamps in the first floor rooms, be honest about the area and the roads.

Girls Long Week-end
Beautiful house and had everything we needed. Very nice people in the neighborhood. Walk to lake over 88 steps straight down and very dangerous. Bring everything you need as grocery store, restaurant quite a distance away. Great for quarantine goers who don't want to get out the house.
