My wife, our bassett hound, and I stayed in the cabin with our sister and her partner and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We were visiting Bethel woods and wanted a relaxing place to stay by the river with our dog, and this was perfect. Danny was great and helpful with our travel plans (thank you Danny!) We originally planned on spending time in/on the river during the day but arrived just after a tropical storm and the river was not cooperating. Even so we had an excellent time just sitting in the back yard and watching the river and playing some guitar. We plan on returning next time we are in bethel area.

Great stay! Beautiful home with river front access. Description was accurate, communication with host great, and location ideal with 20 min walk to main Street Narrowsburg. Will return!

We were looking for a place to really get away with our kids- 15 & 17. (The Orlando vacations were always fun but we would come back more frazzled and fatigued than before.)
This house along the river, with the hammock, bocci court, wildlife everywhere— had just the right amount of everything. We had busy days rafting and fishing; more quiet days walking into town or simply enjoying the property. Our teenage kids told us it was one of their favorite places to go. We forgot how to relax but this place helps you figure it out again. Thanks for letting us stay.

2nd time here. Weather not great but no matter. Still got some bocce in. Walked the river with dog and had fire each night. Amenities all there. Location is amazing. Extended back deck and added stairs since our last visit - a plus for watching nature and getting down the hill. We’ll be back.

The grounds on this property are so beautiful - the front yard has a pretty garden and the back yard is huge - lots of space to play and then the spot down by the river - we enjoyed the hammock right at the water's edge! And it's super quiet and peaceful outside. There are neighbors but you don't really hear or see them.
The kitchen is probably the best equipped rental kitchen we've ever had - it was great.
The main floor has a huge living room/den, kitchen and bathroom with the jacuzzi tub. Upstairs there's a bedroom, open to the main floor sound wise, with its own bathroom. In the basement are the other two bathrooms as well as laundry.
The house is very cozy and warm feeling - no overhead lighting, all soft warm bulbs from lamps and pendants which looks pretty.
We did need some help with the hot water (user error - it was clearly noted in the binder at the house) and Daniel helped speedily.
If someone has mobility issues I don't think this is the best house for them due to bathroom and bedroom locations and low lighting but otherwise it's really lovely and beautiful and I'm so glad we got to stay.

Danny’s home in Narrowsburg was the perfect vacation destination for our family. The home itself is exquisitely curated and we enjoyed admiring his collection of art, photography and sculpture throughout the home. The space was also cozy and livable with comfortable beds and furniture throughout, as well as a well functioning kitchen and washer and dryer. We also particularly enjoyed the built in surround sound speaker system inside and outside the home. The outdoor space is equally well designed, with a beautiful, fenced front garden (good for dogs) and a huge backyard featuring a large patio, a BBQ, two hammocks, a bocce ball court, a large picnic table and beach access to the Delaware River. The weather was beautiful when we visited and we spent multiple happy afternoons lounging outside, wading in the river, watching birds, canoeing, and tubing. If you’re looking to get out, the house is about a 15 min walk from Main Street in Narrowsburg - a very cute little town with a great coffee shop (Tusten Cup) and a number of home goods and antique shops. Most are only opened Thursday through Sunday so plan your trip dates accordingly. Overall, Danny’s trip was a perfect destination for our family vacation and we hope we’ll get a chance to return!

What a beautiful cabin and property! We rented for a week in July ‘22 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, relaxing by the river and enjoying the many amenities. The artwork and literature in the cabin was truly special, and not something I’ve experienced in a rental previously. The beach area by the river is wonderful for relaxing and we enjoyed lots of outdoor time. The kitchen is also very well equipped and we made many good meals there. Narrowsburg, while small, is a very nice little town and we enjoyed the Riverfest while we were there. We also really like the Tusten cup coffee shop. Truly a relaxing vacation. My only complaints are about the noisy window air conditioner upstairs that needs to be replaced, and the lack of a second shower. The clawfoot tub shower, while special, is tricky for older folks. We are looking forward to our next trip to Narrowsburg and staying here again!

Just a magical place on the river in the Catskills. The area is beautiful and this property takes advantage of the natural beauty. You can sit on the deck and take in the river or go right down to the river and float. The house itself fits right in to its surroundings and has some amazing plantings. A really peaceful place.

We enjoyed our recent visit to this log home on the Delaware river. The grounds are beautiful and it is a peaceful, quiet spot. We observed much wildlife (bald eagles, deer, ducks, geese), all without mosquitoes or gnats!
Various outside activities are available, as described on the website. The home is also fully equipped, especially the kitchen with a fantastic ice-maker!
On arrival be sure to read the host’s binder notebook, since you are instructed to turn on the hot water heater on arrival (and off when leaving).
The upstairs loft bedroom has a bathroom, but guests in the two basement bedrooms need to use the main floor bathroom. The claw-foot tub upstairs and the Jacuzzi in the main bathroom can be difficult to get in and out of. Sheets and towels are provided, but you are requested to wash the towels before leaving.
Lighting in this home creates a cozy ambiance like candlelight, and the brightly-lit website photos are not representative. To play board games at the kitchen table we needed to move lamps. The kitchen and TV extension cords/plugs were temperamental.
Some notes: This home is not handicapped-accessible, as mentioned on the website. The cumbersome front entry gates need repair, and garbage cans do not fit into the shed where they were to be stored. On only 3 of our 5 day visit did a train run through, about 10:30pm. Narrowsburg restaurants are open on Thursday though Sunday.
While we did enjoy this pleasant retreat from a noisy world, we believe that the rental fee for midweek was overpriced.

Amazing Stay - Very Serene, Lots to do at the property
Host was responsive and helpful. The property was absolutely gorgeous. It's worth mentioning that the river in the backyard was like nothing I've ever experienced. The entire strip from shore to shore was waist high - you can literally walk to the other side (PA). I can only imagine how fun this would be in the summer time, and look forward to coming back.

Simply Stunning Property!
This house is a showstopper and the views are amazing! Watching the River from the deck while the leaves floated by was so serene. Property is larger than it looks and our dog had the best time running around. Will book again and look forward to it!

We were so excited to have our first family vacation with our son, daughter-in-law and their two young sons. Your home met our expectations and more. It was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed time by the river, playing bocce ball, the lovely fireplace in the evenings. cooking out, the tree house, listening to your amazing music collection. Restful and joyous time! Thank you.

Unsure feelings
Let me start by saying we enjoyed our time in this unique home. The owner is very prompt to respond to any issues brought up.
The few problems we had are the front door is very hard to open from the humidity I believe and I feel like his cleaning service could do a better job for the fee charged.
Overall I would recommend this place to a couple but not a family or a group of people only because of the bathroom situation. The main bathroom is a claw foot tub/shower and the other is a huge juccuzzi tub with a hand held shower head right off the kitchen/dining area.

Great home and location
Loved staying in this cool home which was right on the Delaware River. It was artistically decorated and very comfortable. It had lots of amenities (hammocks, bocci court, tubes, canoes) and Narrowsburg is a cool little town. It's a great location to be used as a base camp, as we explored the area and hiked. Not sure if it was the time of year (September) but make sure to bring your bug spray. Our host was great and made us feel welcome, including a bottle of wine. Highly recommend!

I didn’t want to leave
Space for everyone to gather. Space for everyone to find solitude. Well appointed. Really good taste in decor. We went canoeing. We googled Bocce ball, then played and laughed. And, more than anything else, sitting in that beautiful spot by the river. I didn’t want to leave and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much Cara and Danny.

Beautiful Getaway!!
As listed, beautiful log cabin with plenty of nature to enjoy! Despite some wet weather, enjoyed sitting on the back covered porch watching weather and nature at it's best. Dear came to visit every morning and night, and the sound and site of bald eagles over the river were amazing. Also managed to catch a few descent size bass while relaxing with the fishing pole. Even played a few games of Bocce ball in the rain! Our goal was to get a way and relax. Mission accomplished. Beautiful property!!

Perfect Getaway
Great home on the river. Great for our golden retrievers who loved the land to roam and fetch balls. Late day sun on the back porch was a great way to relax after outdoor day trips. Cara was very responsive and the home had all we needed to enjoy and be comfortable. Fireplace at night was awesome as well. We lucked out with weather too! We’ll be back!

Nice Getaway
The 2 of us and our dogs had a nice stay. The house is peaceful and the river views are really nice even with the heavy snow. House had pretty much everything we needed as far as soaps, well appointed kitchen etc. House was clean, other than the microwave but that was not a big deal. House layout would be difficult for anyone who has trouble with stairs or getting into/out of the bath but not an issue for us. Loved the fenced front yard for the dogs. Town nearby is cute and has restaurants and grocery store. House has a nice stereo system, DVD's and lots of books to explore. Owner responded to questions and even alerted us to an incoming delivery of fire wood. Would stay again.

Wonderful getaway
We stayed at Cara's house early December 2020. Communication with Cara was very easy and prompt before and during our stay. House is very nicely laid out and backs directly onto the Delaware. It's on a quiet neighborhood street with a large backyard and entirely fenced front (great for dogs). One bedroom is in a loft above the great room and two more in the basement. Everything was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful cabin by the river . . .
This is a very relaxing, peaceful place. Cool decor that creates awesome ambiance. Plenty of wood for fireplace. I am giving 4 stars since some kitchen items needed cleaning. Refrigerator was spotless, however. This minor complaint didn't detract from a great stay.

Most amazing experience
We all had the best time and can not wait to go back! This was the best house and yard i ever rented in my life and i wish i lived there! It was perfect. The home owner really did such a lovely job decorating this house. We didn’t want to leave so we booked an extra night! If you’re thinking of staying in narrowsburg then book this house because it doesn’t get anymore perfect than this place.

beautiful house in the perfect setting
Our stay at Cara's house was amazing. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids and stayed for a week, and I feel we could have spent the entire summer there. The house was pristine clean, tastefully decorated and so well equipped. The scenery was idyllic. We spent most of the time by the river, looking for bald eagles and relaxing. took the canoes out and played bocce. We enjoy cooking and having our meals at home, and the kitchen had everything we needed. In the evenings we lit the fireplace and would look through the photography book collection. Cara replied to my questions promptly and was very accommodating and flexible. We hope to come back soon!

A Perfect Getaway
Beautiful house and property, house was decorated nicely and makes you feel right at home the minutes you walk in the door. The owner checked in with us shortly after arrival and took care of a small problem right away. Close proximity to town and shopping yet you feel miles away from it all. A very relaxing stay.

Deceiving photos
We are avid travelers, and we have rented many homes. The pictures on your website are very deceiving. The front walk was dangerously uneven, the lighting outside was inadequate for evening arrivals. The house is very dark inside with dim lighting. I was very disappointed in the downstairs bedrooms. They were dark and very musty. The guests downstairs had to go upstairs during the night to use the closest bathroom, which was somewhat of an inconvenience. We had to leave lights on during the night so no one would trip. The loft bedroom had an air conditioner which rattled throughout the night, and made sleeping challenging. The bathroom upstairs looked” lovely” but if you are “ older” you must climb in and out of a claw foot tub to shower, with nothing to hold onto for safety. I feel it was not worth the rate we paid; which is also questionable. It advertises a much lower rate. The grounds were lovely, but the front yard looks nothing like the photo.
In summary, the rate did not reflect the quality of our stay. We were very disillusioned and disappointed.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN
Brought my 2 adult children here and we had a blast! We may end up installing a boccie ball court at home now because we had a blast playing it here. We fished, barbecued, had a fire down by the river, kicked back in the hammock without ever leaving the property. Off property we drove into NY City one day, went to the Woodstock museum (30 minutes away) and rafted down the Delaware through Landers River Trips . The property was very private as the land to the South is owned by the local entity and there was nobody staying in the house to the north; even if there had been it would still have been very private due to the lush vegetation and trees. We brought our dog and he was in hog heaven....turns out he likes to hunt squirrels. The house was great to...stocked with just about anything you need to cook and a clothes washer and dryer if you need that kind of stuff. We ate at Herons the first night we were there...a little pricey but the food was great! Overall this property was a little piece of heaven and I will stay here again if we make out to this part of the world. I live in Vegas so we don't get out here very often. We stayed in early June and the weather was amazing. I highly recommend this property
