About this chalet rental
This superb log style lakefront was designed with comfort in mind for guests of all ages. We have plenty of amenities that will make your next trip to Big Bear a memorable one. There are high vaulted ceilings and log accents throughout. Several large windows allow the great room to be filled with plenty of natural light and offer a breathtaking view of outdoors. From here you can access the back deck, BBQ and picnic table. The entrance level also has a master bedroom with a full bathroom, shuffle board, laundry room, and another full bathroom off the living room for added convenience. The rest of the bedrooms are upstairs along with the pool table, a foosball table, and a work desk. There are a variety kids books available and the loft is a great lounging spot for children. There is a flat screen TV in every bedroom. The TV's are Netflix/Hulu ready. We have Apple TV available which puts a vast library of movies and music at your disposal.

The pictures of this home do not disappoint. From the beautiful front yard, the serene fountain flowing, it is a piece of serenity. And then opening the front door and seeing the lake through the massive window, you know you are in for a peaceful week. I loved having coffee every morning looking out to the gorgeous scenery.
The home is spotless, massive kitchen supplied with every gadget you could possibly need. The bathrooms are supplied with hotel size personal needs. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable beds and lovely bedding.
We had a problem with the washing machine but the rental agency hired a technician and the problem was fixed as soon as he could come out.
I have been renting vacation homes for my family for the last 15 years, this was by far the nicest home we have rented which is situated in a beautiful walking neighborhood.
I would give this home a 12 except the kids room upstairs which was a perfect place for three teens was extremely hot. I would recommend purchasing a few fans for the room.
Other than that, I would highly recommend this home. Miss it already and we will definately be back.

The home it stunning and literally everything you need for time away with family/friends. The kitchen is well stocked with literally everything you would need which is a major bonus compared to other properties we've stayed at. All the appliances are top notch and the house is in impeccable condition. The location on the lake could not be more beautiful. Our only gripe was the wifi didn't work so we couldn't watch TV (which would have been nice in the evening for the kids to wind down). We made do with games instead so it was fine but would have been nice to have.

Beautiful home.
This home is beautifully designed and located. The views are gorgeous and the house is well appointed and stocked. The inside furnishings are just lovely. Checking in was easy and communication with the management prompt and courteous. The shuffleboard and pool tables were a big hit with the kids and the master bedroom and bathroom were luxurious.
My only negatives concern cleanliness and the outdoor area. It advertised deep cleaning which was important to me but it was dusty and there were chip crumbs by the sofa. The bathrooms however were super clean and it could be the house just was empty for awhile. The deck furniture was limited considering the number of people the house can hold and that and the picnic table area were not the quality and style of the rest of the house. For the price of this rental and the attraction of those wonderful views I’d consider updating the outside seating.
I still give this home a five star rating however because overall it was fantastic and we were sorry to see our time there end!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway (Summer)
The house was perfect for our family trip. It was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the lake that can be seen from the dining area and the essentially floor to ceiling windows in the common area. It is well maintained and well stocked with kitchen essentials. The kids loved their room that doubled as a gaming room with huge TV and video games. Lots of entertainment with shuffle board, pool table and foosball too. Management was also very responsive to our questions prior to renting and when we had a question about check in. The only thing that we would put on the wish list for the house would be to have another bathroom / shower upstairs since there are three bedrooms. There was, however, a shower in the common bathroom downstairs so that didn’t really pose a problem. I would definitely rent this place again on our next trip.
Note there is no direct access to the lake from the house, but that worked out well for us because we had two young kids with us.

We booked this cabin for Memorial Day weekend and had a blast. The pictures of the cabin are nice but don’t do it justice. The cabin is very well stocked with more than we could have imagined. We will definitely stay here again.

Fraud Alert
The property could be amazing, and really is, but unfortunately if something is wrong the management company will do nothing to resolve it. We rented the property specifically because of the hot tub feature which did not work when we arrived. No attempt to resolve during our trip. Now a week later the management company Grizzly Vacation Rentals won’t even respond to an email asking for some type or resolution. We paid nearly 3k for two nights stay there and it was not as promised. So sad that they care so little.. be careful with this place. Rent with them at your own risk. Just know if something goes wrong you’re on your own.

Beautiful house but horrible neighbors
Lovely home but we didn't even have time to unload our supplies when we were being watched by neighbors and having a video recording sent to us. We had a complaint do to a boat being in the front if the house. Yes it was our boat but it has all our essential supplies. So please Beware of nosie neighbors and feeling like your walking on egg shells if you stay in this house.

Labor Day Visit
Overall, a great experience and we would highly recommend the property. The house is conveniently located, boasts spectacular views, is very well furnished, clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of. Our group included 5 adults and 7 kids and we had tons of room. Only two very minor complaints. First, the online listing makes it look like there is direct lake access as well as a grassy area where kids can play. Unfortunately, you are separated from the lake by a small canal and all the grassy areas in the pictures belong to the neighboring properties. The only other issue is you do not have garage access. Totally understand why (the owners use it for private storage) but it would have been helpful to know that beforehand; there isn't anywhere to secure large items (bikes, kayaks, etc) overnight.

It is a beautiful home and great for a group. While it is waterfront, there is no direct access to the water. There is a canal and fence in front of the property which wasn't clear to us.

This property is stunning! The view looks right out to the lake and mountains! Small backyard with gravel, picnic table, BBQ, jacuzzi, and patio furniture! The weather in July was perfect! The house was so clean and had everything; garbage bags, bathroom essentials, highchairs for kids, even bedtime books for kids too!

The perfect Big Bear 🏠 home!
This home sits on the lake and is absolutely beautiful! There were 3 couples with 5 children and we never felt crowded here. The kitchen is a chef’s dream. You will have everything you need and more!!!! The fireplaces are an added bonus as well as the jacuzzi on the deck right outside the door overlooking the lake. A very warm addition to a chilly winter weekend ☃️ The house is also very close to the main street in town, restaurants and the ski slopes. The one comment my family made that could be an improvement was that the beds in the couples bedrooms were double not queen and therefore a bit small for the average couple. The house was a great choice and we will definitely rent this property again! I would highly recommend it!!!!

We loved this property. Beautiful home, has everything you need. Great for big families. Right on the lake so the view from the windows was just amazing. We would definitely stay here again and it must even be amazing in the summer as well. Less than 2 miles from the village area. Loved this property!
