Enjoy our renovated former carriage house tucked away off a quaint and quite residential side street on Plum Island, Massachusetts.
Relax on the deck, read a book or toast some marshmallows in the back yard. Just a short walk from the beach or the calm waters of the basin, a small inlet of water off the mouth of the Merrimac River.

We had a wonderful beach stay. The host has a beautifully decorated, very clean and thoughtfully stocked cottage, even better than the photos and description. The cottage is very close to the beach and a short drive to Newburyport for great restaurants and shopping. I would gladly stay again when visiting Plum Island!

Lovely 2 bedroom cottage, quiet, well appointed! Perfect for us and occasional family visiting! We used to live here great home away from home!!! Wonderful parking, deck, seating, grill outside!!! Hope to visit again soon!

Our stay was fantastic! The cottage was perfect. So well-maintained and welcoming. The owners ensured that everything we would need was available. The location is fantastic; close to the beach and Downtown Newburyport. Could not have asked for a better experience!!

Wonderful little house nestled in on Plum Island. Everything is new and works and is well thought out. The hosts left us thoughtful gifts like orange juice and muffins --but the best thing is the place really works! Most kitchens in rentals have glaring inadequacies--this one did not. The design of the place is much more carefully thought out than usual. You won't be disappointed.

Our stay was wonderful. The place was beautifully designed and decorated with every detail just perfect. The host thought of everything we could have needed and the vibe of the cottage and host were so warm and welcoming. The location was safe, quiet and peaceful with great walking in the area. What a great note to end our New England vacation on.

Second time we’ve stayed here. It’s a great, quiet property close to the beach and a short drive to downtown Newburyport. Very clean and well stocked too.

My wife and I LOVED our stay. The cottage had everything you could need- you only need to back the clothes you’ll be wearing! We had friends come for the day and there was parking and great outdoor entertainment space. Used the grill almost everynight after picking up delicious food from the market or Newburyport fish co. We were greeted with a welcome basket that was such a nice added touch! Communication with the property manager was flawless!! Nothing but great vibes at this location!!!

Perfect little beach cottage. I recently spent a week in this charmer: a hop, skip, and jump from miles of shoreline along the Atlantic, very clean and quiet, well-stocked kitchen and bath, deck and fire ring to hang about and relax, and hospitable host – super timely with communication and considerately stocked fridge for arrival. It was all I needed. I will definitely be back if they'll have me!

Great Trip!
We had a wonderfully stay at the carriage house. Upon arrival I was very pleased with the cleanliness and all of the extra amenities like towels, soap, laundry and wine!
Plenty of parking and located in a central area we were able to walk to the beach. The outdoor area was also great for lounging and an outdoor shower to wash off sand. We had the most amazing time and can’t wait to return.

Perfect cottage for our family to enjoy the beach
This was our first time to plum island, communication was more than helpful, all our questions we’re answered. The cottage was perfect size for our family of 3. The owners worked with us on our arrival and departure times which was very helpful. We were also greeted with snacks, fruit and a bottle of wine which was such a nice touch. I would recommend this property to others as well as stay again!

Lovely memories from 5 months here
My wife and I stayed at the cottage with our two year old this past late January to early June.
We loved it there, and loved Plum Island. The location is fabulous - just a very short walk to the beach and to the basin and to the playground. We went all of the time, even through winter. When Plum Island Kitchen opened, we loved walking there for their surprisingly great foods to then enjoy on the beach.
The road that the cottage is on is very quiet and kid friendly, and all the neighbors are really nice. Extremely extremely safe. Rarely locked the doors.
The cottage had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen was well appointed and it has cable TV, internet, AC, and two forms of heat.
We made great memories there with our family and were feeling very nostalgic as we left.

Perfect for us!
The cottage was perfect for us. We stayed for three months in the late fall and early winter to be near our daughter and grandchildren. It's very much as advertised--clean, cozy, thoughtfully set up and very well supplied. The heating system was great and on cold days the heated bathroom floor was a plus. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is great, too! Sandi responded very quickly to any concerns and was a wonderful host--we were sorry that Covid kept us from much contact. We hope to return.

Perfect Family Get Away
Sandi's place was all that we hoped it would be! It was clean, well-apponinted, convenient and comfortable. We had a lovely time during our stay. The added benefit of having laundry, sheets and towels was a huge plus. She was very accomodating and easy to work with. I would definitely stay here in the future!

well stocked kitchern & cleaning supplies
the major problem is that the air conditioning for the larger bedroom does not exist, the split unit in the living area cannot make a 90 degree turn, in addition the curtains do not provide any protection from the early morning sun so the room gets ver;y warm.

This was a perfect little cottage for me to stay for one month. My grandchildren live about a half an hour away so one or two could come and visit me for a night.I am not a big Beach person but it was a lot of fun walking around the island for exercise. Also there was a nice little tree in the backyard I could sit in the shade and read which I love to do

Plum Island Getaway
Our annual trip to Plum Island was appreciated this year more than ever. To have get-away so close to home was a true gift. As always, Sandi is wonderful to work, but even more so in ensuring the property was clean and well cared for during our stay.

8 week stay in Plum Island
The property is a great little beach house a few blocks from the sea. The kitchen and bathroom are well appointed and it also benefits from strong internet connection and gas heating. Sandy was very helpful throughout, proving responsive to any needs we have. The place is ideally located for the nature sanctuary of Plum Island and the historic town of Newburyport.

Lovely Week in a Great Cottage
We stayed at Sandi’s cottage for a week in late August and it exceeded all expectations. The house is small but very functional and is stocked with all kitchen / bathroom utensils and amenities you could need. The location is also perfect - very easy walk to the beach and an easy walk to the Plum Island Lighthouse. We also travelled with small children and Sandi provided a high chair and some toys for our daughter to play with for the week, which really made the week easy and comfortable for us and enjoyable for our children. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice location for enjoying the beach and the basin. Cottage is well kept and spotless. Owners are next door in case you need them but not the least bit intrusive.

We had a great time while on PI. This was the nicest house to stay in. It was clean, neat, welcoming and had all the comforts of home. I would highly recommend it.

Highly recommend this well-equipped cottage
The two main reasons that I'm not giving 5 stars are: 1) the lack of shade on the property, but that is Plum Island in general; 2) the residential beach that you can walk to from the cottage wasn't nearly as nice as the beaches south in the nature preserve. That being said, I would highly recommend this cottage itself - very well-equipped, and you can tell owners want you to have everything you need.

Perfect long weekend
We had a great time. The house is super cute, cozy and clean. Not far from downtown Newburyport and an easy walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
