My husband, myself and our two sons stayed at this lovely house for two nights. Everything was top notch and it was a short walk to town. Perfect in every way! I highly recommend this house!

Great vacation spot

Your description was very accurate. Easy to find, easy to park 2 cars. Nice bedrooms, clean bathrooms. Kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed the marsh especially in the morning when the gulls seemed to have a convention there. The pool was great for the kids as they made good use of it. Lot of room to lounge. shade from umbrellas. there were 6 of us. The two children slept in the room with the parents, which worked find for us but maybe not so good if they want more privacy. The grandparents slept in the larger room.
Easy to dispose of trash. We think we kept th 2 kinds separate. We could not find a good broom to sweep us and only discovered the vacuum the day before we left. Also a busted wine opener which we tossed and found the fancy one in a different drawer.
A well designed set of residences that preserve a sense of privacy for all. The ones looking out on the marsh are the best.

This property worked perfectly for a sister Getaway with great sleeping conditions, great views of wildlife and within walking distance to many restaurants and sites. We had plenty of room to play cards and talk and enjoy our get together!

This place has great views with spacious accommodations, location in a quiet neighborhood, and has just about everything you need for your stay! You will save money by cooking some meals in the kitchen, equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and dishwasher. There is a pool with the perfect water temperature just a short walk away. For those who watch TV, there is one in each bedroom as well as the main living area. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower, too. You can bike to nature preserves, stores, etc. The beach is a mile or less away. You can enjoy meals on the back deck which overlooks a marsh (no houses in sight), equipped with a barbeque grill. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

We have stayed in Cape May every summer for 15 years. We had never ventured to where this property is located. The views in the AM and PM were such a nice change from being right in the middle of town. We rented kayaks from down the road and went through the marsh. We enjoyed so much how it changed from high tide to low tide. The pool was a really nice plus also and Lucky Bones down the road for good food and great service and reservation process. The heart of cape may is SO SO close don't be thrown off by location. We look forward to staying again.

Booked a last minute vacation to Cape May. Townhouse was close to town, but a little too far to easily walk in.
House was clean. Had great views of the wetlands. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Had a nice stock of beach stuff in the garage. Beach passes for adults was awesome. Lots of seating in living room. Great for everyone in our party to hang out. Bedrooms were nice and beds were conformable.
Townhouse is showing its age a little, but as long as it's clean, I don't mind. We also had some trouble getting the cable on the TV in livingroom to work, but we didn't really come to the beach to watch TV, so that was not an issue.
Bottom line is that we enjoyed our stay a d would rent this house again.

My family usually stays closer to the beach but we wanted a place that was small-kid friendly, had amenities the old Victorians usually don’t (A/C, dishwasher, laundry), and greatest for us was use of the community pool. It wasn’t an easy walk to the beach but a short drive and great to have options to go to the beach some days and a very easy pool day others. The place is super clean and comfortable and has a really nice view of the marsh behind with nice sunsets. The house is on a one-way i crowded street which was great for walking and biking with the kids. The kitchen is well stocked with cook and eating ware. And garage has lots of beach items which meant we didn’t have to bring it from home. Would definitely stay again.

My family and I were all very impressed with the beautiful sunsets each night. Even the kids were excited to use their binoculars to check out the different types of birds from the back porch. You get the best of both worlds with having close access to the beach while also being located on a convenient and quiet street. There was also a large amount of supplies available including paper products.

This property is decent but nowhere near as clean as it should be. There were flies everywhere the furniture was covered and everything was really damp and old. I guess the proximity to the still water was the problem but there were crumbs under the oven and just in general everything was very old and musty. We actually left the first night because one of our kids had a stomach bug but it was a huge hazard for little ones as there are outlets everywhere and really steep steps. In addition the upstairs was very warm.

Not as Advertised
My wife and I were to visit for 3 days to celebrate our birthdays. We visit Cape May 2-3 times per year. The online presence of this rental looked satisfactory. However,
the photographs of the unit were misleading. The unit is battered looking from the outside and nothing improves inside. The sofa as depicted online has multiple stains. A cheap cover was placed over it. The cover was dirty. The coffee table was marred and deeply scratched. The deck furniture was rusty and corroded. The grille was so corroded that it should be disposed of.
We immediately noted a stank smell throughout the unit. Not surprisingly, we found a sign affixed to the wall in an upstairs bedroom near a walk in closet. The sign reads: "Upon Exiting the Unit Please Leave the Master Close Door Ajar or Open. This Will Help Prevent Stale Air From Developing". Well the entire unit stunk, not just the walk in closet.
The shower walls and faucet were covered with scum. There was mold on the door track. The owner told me that "Cape May has hard water, difficult to clean". Nonsense, I have stayed in Cape May numerous times over the past 27 years and never encountered this.
The owner offered to send the cleaners the next morning. However, I declined because I had already tried to do some cleaning in order to stay the 1st night. Additionally, why bother because he had already told me that nothing could be done about the dirty bathroom.
Interestingly, the owner offered to refund me "the 3 night rental". I assumed that he meant a full refund, The night was getting late so we agreed that my wife and I would reluctantly stay one night, then vacate. Later that evening I received an email that the owner was refunding 2 nights of rental as agreed, but not all the fees, including the cleaning fee. This was unbelievable, especially since a component of the fees was an amount for cleaning! Imagine that, charging me a cleaning fee when the unit was not clean when we entered!
We discussed this through texts and he told me to vacate immediately. It took us 2 hours to find a hotel in town with an opening. The next morning I asked him to, at least, also refund the fee for the night before because we had not stayed any nights. He refused.
I made a claim through my credit card company . The owner apparently said everything was satisfactory. Be careful of who you are dealing with here.

Fabulous location; wonderful hosts!
We are three birders, longtime friends, and this beautiful property right on the nature preserve was fantastic! We set up our scope and followed Osprey pairs and babies on their nests, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Alex was an extremely helpful, communicative and very gracious, hospitable host. The beds were extremely comfortable, it was very well outfitted, and the location can't be beat. We look forward to a return stay- thank you!!!

Good rental for family &/or friends.
Rented for a whole week, we were celebrating our anniversary.
Our daughter and her two kids joined us for two nights. Grandson liked having the loft to himself. The townhouse is roomy, clean, plenty of dishes , pots and pans and plenty of bathrooms. Being able to see the meadows was nice but not many birds this time of year. We went to the state park to bird watch and saw golden eagles, what a thrill for us as birders. Alex is helpful and a good host. Would rent from him again. We had an enjoyable and relaxing week.

Comfortable and good value
If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable house(has all the essential amenities), then this is your place. We usually rent a house on the Point, but this time we tried an off beach location. We were not disappointed. The view from the rear deck was worth every penny. I could not get enough of watching the birds early mornings and evenings.

A great time in Cape May
We had a great time during our stay! The property was a great location for us and it was nice to have the community pool - it was never busy. The beds were very comfortable and it was a bonus that each bedroom has its own bathroom. Everything was great and the owner was easy to communicate with!

Perfect balance between restful spot and convenient location
We had the best time in Cape May celebrating my daughter’s high school graduation with friends. I love the location of this home within walking distance to the Acme grocery store, Washington Mall, and the beach. The house itself is an oasis with a quiet back deck overlooking the bird sanctuary and away from busy downtown. We went to the Physick Estate, a fantastic place to go, which was a very short walk, truly around the block. The house was perfect for us, clean and well-kept. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Pre-Season Getaway
We had a truly fantastic stay. The house was clean, comfortable, as advertised, and just what we needed. It’s close to everything, though not quite walkable for us with a 20-month old. Thankfully, being the off-season still, we had no issues with driving and parking. In our pre-kid days, we wouldn’t have thought twice about the lovely stroll into town, though. We did walk to the nearby park/playground, which our son loved. Having the portable crib and high chair in the home was a huge bonus. The view of the marshes and sunsets was spectacular. Alex was responsive and helpful. We hope to come back at some point!

Great location and beautiful view of the marsh
We very much enjoyed our stay and visit to Cape May during the winter time. The townhouse is spacious and clean. The attic was a surprise and the kids love it. The kitchen is fully stocked which is great during the pandemic. Overall we are very happy with the choice.

A Welcome Respite from Covid-19
After being home for the past 7 months, staying safe and as far as possible from the coronavirus, my husband and I decided to take a quick 2-night jaunt to one of our favorite places on Earth--Cape May, NJ. This spacious 3-bedroom, 3 1/2 bath townhouse was more than enough to meet our needs--a most pleasant place, a comfy mattress, a gorgeous view of the bird sanctuary from the house and the deck. Hello, egrets and blue herons! We would've loved to share it with friends or relatives--but not at this time. Cape May is great midweek in October--the weather was gorgeous, the beach deserted, and the ocean warm enough for wading. Sadly, our favorite restaurants--Louisa's and Washington Inn, had just closed for midweek dining, but Sapore (Italian in West Cape May) and the new seafood restaurant, Prawn on Elmira St., were excellent, delivering takeout to our car so we could dine on our back deck. Sure was hard to leave!

Super house for families with kids
We had a wonderful time. We used the crib, high chair and safety gate. Also had beach chairs and umbrella, great to not have to pack all that stuff for a couple days at the beach. The views from the living room of the bird sanctuary and sunsets were fantastic! The pool in the townhouse community was pristine, could have spent the day their but the baby liked the beach better! Had 2 days of rain but didn't even bother us, went to Cape May Zoo which was free and Cape May winery.
