This home was built in 1996. The inside cabinetry and some of the furniture was built by our father who was a cabinet maker by trade in Europe. This is a one of kind unique home with seating for 12+ at the table and a kitchen with all the essentials. There are decks on both sides of the house. The house is a short walk to Skylandia Beach, it is centrally located to most beaches and ski resorts on the north side of the lake. Five minutes from Tahoe City. Handicap Accessible!!

Nice house, but needed some serious attention. There were a lot of carpet stains, the shower squeegee had hair in it, and there was blood on the sheets in one bedroom. The online photos also showed bunkbeds in one room, and they were not there. Maybe update the photos?? Teenage girls don't like to share a bed. They big plus was how nice the owners are.

Our group of 2 families stayed here over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was the best supplied kitchen of any rental that our family has stayed at, which we appreciated since we cooked a lot over the holiday. (There was a large roasting pan for the turkey, a Kitchen Aid for baking, etc). We enjoyed hanging out in the living room, and the dogs enjoyed the fenced back yard and being able to walk down to Skylandia Park at Lake Tahoe.

Tahoe Wedding/Vacation
Our family came for a wedding and stayed for a week's vacation in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was everyone's first time in Tahoe and we had a blast, the smoke from the fires raging in California not withstanding.
This home had everything we needed for a relaxing week of family time, with one exception -- air conditioning! The week we were there saw highs in the upper 80's, low 90's which made for some uncomfortable nights. Aside from this, we found this spacious home incredibly well equipped throughout with more than enough space to accommodate the four of us. The two oversized decks -- front and back -- gave us room to enjoy the outdoors when we weren't hiking, rafting, kayaking, swimming or exploring! So much nicer than a hotel room!!! And the location in Dollar Point was perfect for our needs. This home's kitchen has been lovingly appointed to include just about anything one would need to prepare most any meal with plenty of dining space for your party.
The owner was particularly good at communicating when i had questions, which is always helpful.
i would most definitely stay here again and we've already begun planning our next Tahoe adventure! Thank you, Barbara, for being a wonderful hostess and providing us with the perfect basecamp for our adventures!

Great location, size and has everything you need!
You can tell this family loves their home. The minute you walk in it feels like home. Their large, overstocked kitchen with Viking range had everything we needed to prep 3 meals a day. Plenty of silverware, flatware and glassware, plus herbs, ziploc bags, aluminum foil, serving utensils, etc.
The 2 master suites are incredibly spacious, although the queen sized bed mattress needs to be replaced as it sags in the middle and the upstairs master bath has a loose outlet. Plenty of towels and toiletries as well. We wanted to try out the stair chair but it didn't have batteries.
The backyard is massive and fully fenced in, great for dogs and children with a swing set nearby. There are 2 decks, one larger one in the front with cushioned chairs and table with umbrella, and a smaller back deck with a table and a large gas grill that worked perfectly.
The only 2 major downers were that it's a steep and long 20 minute walk to the Dollar Point private beach so you really need to drive to carry everything, but there is limited parking at the beach. It has tennis courts too! We also could not figure out how to access the gated beach/courts as the instruction binder didn't mention if there is a key or passcode. We did find 1 extra key but it didn't work. The other downside was, even though the internet worked for most of us, it didn't allow VPN access for my husband to work from the cabin and he had to do a lot of work over the phone instead - unsure how to fix that.
Overall a wonderful stay! We even had a mama bear and her 3 cubs wander by the back fence, and another one opened the empty neighbor's sliding door and ate a bunch of peanut butter (we informed the Sheriff). Nature, beach and so close to downtown - what could be better?! Would love to stay again!
