The house faces south-west and it is has a lot of light. It is located in a very quiet place, 20 minutes far away from Barcelona and 10 minutes away from the beach. It is also located in the midst of the natural park "Serralada Litoral", so it’s fully surrounded by nature.
It is a perfect place to visit Barcelona and Girona, Maresme and Costa Brava beaches, villages and natural parks nearby.
A few meters away from the house you will be able to enjoy a pitch and putt, a golf club, 2 riding clubs, mountain sports, hiking, horseback riding routes and several restaurants where you can enjoy national and international cuisine.
You will also be able to enjoy all kinds of water sports and go to "Isla Fantasía" water park. And make your buying the best brands in the largest outlet in Catalonia.

The house has nice views of the hillside. Didn’t spend much time there as we were out exploring most days. The driveway was the main downside of this property. It’s has about a 40-45 degree slope that is 120 feet long and winds down the hill. You have to park on the street and walk up and down the winding steeply sloped driveway to come and go from the house, which is below street level. Definitely not a good choice for the elderly or anyone with bad knees, as it hurt my knees every step coming and going up and down the driveway.The driveway street entrance has a very heavy gate that must be manually pulled open and closed, which takes an effort to move.
The microwave and clothes dryer did not work as advertised. A working microwave was brought in after one week passed of our two week stay. The dryer ran, but did not dry my clothes after running repeated cycles for hours. My clothes were left with a bad mildew smell and could not be worn after washing them due to being so long in a dryer that could not dry them.
There are many dogs in the neighborhood that bark throughout the night and early morning, which force you to close bedroom windows instead of leaving them open for a breeze. You still hear dogs barking with the windows closed. The neighbors feed stray cats regularly and there are a lot of them around. There is no central air conditioning, if you want to sleep with AC.

We had an excellent stay at this gorgeous modern home for 2 weeks. The owners were attentive and communicative the whole time before arrival and during our stay. They brought us wine, made excellent restaurant recommendations, and treated the pool and hot tub 2 times during our stay.
We stayed with my husband and I, 2 grannies, and our daughters ages 4 and 6. There was a grocery store and a playground and several restaurants 5 minutes away. It was a nice escape from the busy city and yet still had conveniences.
It was about 20-30 minutes to most locations in Barcelona. It has a gorgeous valley view in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed an espresso every morning on the deck to watch the birds. A glass of wine in the evening to watch the bats. The house is mostly single level and open concept which is nice. The second bathroom is downstairs in the same room as the pool and hot tub, so for safety issues with the kids we did not utilize that bathroom most of the time. The kitchen was perfect and there was laundry available if you needed it. The backyard was enough space for the kids to play football and there was a trampoline to jump on. The indoor pool and hot tub was a luxury and we loved them every day. I would highly recommend this home.
The only drawback for many people will be the gate and driveway. The gate is very hard to open and close which meant we had to open it for the grannies. The driveway is very steep and in a z shape. So you need to 2 point turn on the turns to go up or down the driveway. Which also meant we had to do that for the grannies. The pool is not heated so it was a bit chilly, but the kids could care less!

Hemos estado como en casa, la casa es espectacular, limpia bien decorada, y ha sido muy relajante, el jacuzzi ha ayudado mucho. Necesitábamos un sitio como este para poder descansar y disfrutar en familia, nos ha ido de perlas. Volveremos en breve. Les estoy muy agradecida a los propietarios por su atención.

La casa esta en mal estado para alquilar.
Llegamos el domingo, hasta ese día la comunicación y el trato había sido excepcional, llegamos y la primera sorpresa, que ya que vieron que íbamos con abuelos de 82 años nos podrían haber dicho que la casa tenia una rampa para bajar muy muy muy empinada y sin barandas. Lampara con bichos, colillas, basuras llenas, la barbacoa una botella de gas vacía y la otra con muy poquito, las baldosas de la cocina se levantan, hay dos escalones para bajar a la barbacoa, los dos sueltos, faltan interruptores de la luz por toda la casa, el yacuzzy tenían que venir el miércoles a mirar el agua no vinieron, jueves a la noche ya avise por que el agua estaba sucia, vinieron el viernes, 3 días sin yacuzzi, hemos salido todos menos los abuelos que no se metieron con granos, según el medico es foliculitis del yacuzzy, mi hijo de 8 años el que mas ha estado en el agua esta comidito. No solo no volvería, si no, que no la recomiendo. He de decir que los anfitriones me pidieron disculpas y pero claro, cuando te gastas ese dineral en una casa esperas que al menos este en buenas condiciones, de poco te sirven luego las disculpas.

Nice view but not as expected
The object has a very nice view and you can have breakfast on the big terrace in the morning sun. It has sun the whole day what is perfect for the big window front of the property. It has a big BBQ working with gas. The owners are very friendly. You need a car for everything up there and you cant park it on the property unless you have an SUV.
The house is very overdue for a renovation. The furniture is cheap, old and worn down. Some of the cupboards where broken, tiles on the floor are loose, brand holes in the couch, light switches broken or missing, some repairs are made with duct tape, a wheel is missing on the lower tray of the dishwasher so you can only use the upper tray or your dishes are still dirty after washing, washing machine is rusty and grips are broken so its very hard to use it, climate control did not work at all but you can switch it on manually. The list could go on...
The pool was not clean on arrival and was not cleaned during our stay (but promised two times). Water is cold like ice so we could not use it anyway. The jacuzzi was not clean as well but 35 degrees warm.
The internet is very slow. Most of the time we measured <0.5 MB/s which is not enough to livestream TV or work properly. We had several outages where internet was down for several hours. On day internet was down over 24 hours. We had to buy a mobile router with 4G network that had 50MB/s to work which is around 100x faster then the installed internet. That internet speed is not acceptable in 2019. Its a managed PPOE network so you cant administrate the router or the connection (im a IT guy).
All together, you can life there if you dont mind some of the mentioned above. I think the price is way to high for the condition of the property. With this prices they could invest more in the object like buying a new light switch for example. Property is a money maker and you will notice it during your stay.
Just to be sure we documented everything in pictures or videos. So we dont have to deal with false claims.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Villanova del Valles. Het huis was van alle gemakken voorzien en bood veel ruimte. Jammer genoeg was het zwembad eind april nog te koud, maar de jacuzzi was een prima alternatief.

es war insgesamt ein schöner Urlaub. Das Objekt fanden wir sauber und gepflegt vor. Kleingkeiten die wir angesprochen haben wurden innerhalt von 24 Stunden, also sehr schnell und freundliche behoben. Wir können dieses haus mit gutem gewissen weiter empfehlen und wünschen Mar und Ihrem Mann, noch viele zufriedene Urlaubsgäste.

Lovely house in the countryside
We were a party of 6 adults and the house was perfect for us. Lots of space inside and out and we felt very comfortable. The house was very clean and well equipped and the hot tub was a lovely surprise. Thank you to Mar for a late check out as we had an evening flight home. A car is necessary as there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance but we were aware of this before we traveled and the nearest supermarket was only a five minute drive away. Would love to return again one day.

Beautiful place
We stayed here with our 3 children. Such a lovely place. Just out of the main city but not too far to travel in daily. Very close to the beach. The villa has everything you need. The pool was a bit cold but it’s May so understandable, it didn’t stop the children jumping in though. The hot tub was lovely. Outside was such a sun trap so a lovely place to sit and sunbath.
The owners were very nice and very helpful, gave us information on restaurants and parking and getting around the area.
I’d highly recommend staying here and in future if we return we’d love to stay here again.

très jolie maison mais mal entretenue
Quel dommage que tout se dégrade sans que personne ne s'en préoccupe ! Cette maison pourrait être tellement agréable. Radiateur rouillé, réservoir de la chasse-d'eau cassé, lumière du salon ne fonctionnant pas, baie vitrée de la piscine intérieure ne se fermant pas ...
Et pour couronner le tout, des fourmis dans les placards de la cuisine.
Heureusement cette location est très bien située, pas loin de la plage et de Barcelone!

Great house close to Barcelona
We stayed here with our children for a week in January 2017. This is a great house, close to Barcelona and Costa Brava. Very clean and modern with everything you need (including a dryer!) The pool was a little too cold for winter time but it would be amazing in the summer! I definitely recommend staying here.

Dans l'ensemble cette location est très bien, mais il y a quelques finitions qui ne sont pas faites et c'est dommage sinon ce serait presque parfait.
Après ce n'est pas vital, et il y a vraiment beaucoup d'équipement dans cette location.
On a regretté que la piscine ne soit pas chauffée car nous n'avons pas eu un super temps durant la semaine ou on y était et du coup l'eau était un peu froide.
C'est assez proche de Barcelone, il faut compter 30min et la propriétaire des lieux est géniale car elle nous a fourni vraiment plein d'informations utiles pour notre séjour.
Cette location est également très proche du circuit de catalunya (7kms) et comme nous étions venu assister au GP de F1 c’était parfait.
Sinon, la location correspond vraiment à la description, et la réactivité de la propriétaire a été exceptionnel puisque nous avons eu un nid d'abeille le premier jour ou nous sommes arrivés et elle a fait venir un apiculteur très rapidement. Elle a également fait installer une barrière de protection pour que nos enfants ne tombent pas dans l'escalier qui mène à la piscine dès le 2eme jour et elle avait fourni 2 lits bébés.

La location est conforme aux photos , un petit bémol l'eau de la piscine intérieure n'est pas chauffée en fevrier ça pique.
Le séjour la cuisine avec l'îlot central, la grande terrasse sont géniaux.
