About this chalet rental

Large family chalet, ideally located on the Serre-Chevalier estate, at the foot of the Vauban ramparts of Briançon (Unesco World Heritage),
Facing south, it enjoys an exceptional 180 ° view of the collegiate church, the mountains and the valley.
A large games room for relaxation is located on the top floor (80cm flat screen, BlueRay player, ping-pong table, board games). Well equipped (2 shower rooms, 1 bathroom 3wc), fully equipped kitchen (5-burner gas cooker, 2 electric ovens, microwave oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, raclette and fondue machine) with adjoining dining room, living room with fireplace; The bedrooms are bright, large and comfortable (new bedding, large closets). To enjoy the view, a large balcony on the 1st floor awaits you.
On the ground floor, a large ski / mountain room allows you to store your belongings and a sauna for two people has been installed so that you can relax after a sporting day.
The garden is enclosed and in summer and spring you can have lunch outside under the cherry tree or in the sun.
The Serre Chevalier ski resort with the Prorel Briancon cable car (ESF, ski passes) is 3 minutes away by car; a bus passing 50 meters away can also take you there.
Briançon offers a large number of activities: aquatic center, cinemas, theater, library, restaurants and casino are 5 minutes from the chalet.
The ramparts of Vauban, the picturesque alleys, the tourist office and the first shops are 2 minutes away on foot.
You have the possibility of going for walks or climbing from the Chalet, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing in the Serre Chevalier area at 1 km, ski touring, or snowshoeing in the mythical valley of the Clarée 5 kms away or in the Ecrins Natural Park. The resort of Montgenevre with its golf course in summer, is 10 km away (15 minutes by car or bus).
Many rooms which always allow you to find a quiet corner even when there are many of us.
It is an ideal chalet for 3 or 4 families with children or for a group of friends.
Possibility of parking two cars in the garden, parking in the Chemin du Barry.

Ruim huis op mooie loacatie

Zeer ruim huis voor een groep van 15 personen. De locatie is prachtig, tegen de oude vesting aan en vlakbij een heerlijke bakker. Wij gebruikte de auto om naar de skilift te gaan, de bus ging niet vroeg genoeg. De badkamers zijn oud en de bedden niet allemaal perfect. De keuken is prima uitgerust met een ruime oven en groot fornuis en voldoende serviesgoed .

Très grand chalet, idéalement situé près de la vielle ville de Briançon. Idéal pour séjourné avec de grand groupe. On n’a jamais eu l’impression d’être les uns sur les autres. Les propriétaires sont super réactif à toutes les questions posées . L’équipement du chalet est conforme à l’annonce. A l’arrivée , on est super bien accueilli par une personne chargée de la remise des clés qui prend bien le temps d’expliquer clairement l’ensemble du chalet. En résumé , nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce chalet qui a satisfait l’ensemble de notre groupe. Un tout grand merci aux propriétaires.

Grand chalet familial avec superbe vue !

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans ce chalet aux dimensions familiale (grande salle à manger, une quinzaine de lit et tout le nécessaire équipement bébé). Les trois points forts qui nous ont plu : la vue imprenable sur la vallée de Serre Chevalier, le beau jardin où les enfants ont pu jouer tous les après-midi et le sauna au rez-de-chaussée! Au milieu des arbres et au pied des remparts. Le cadre est magnifique et la maison très agréable. Le salon est charmant et convivial pour une grande famille. Quant à la chambre du haut nous avons dormi comme des marmottes. Un grand merci.

Très bon sejour

Le chalet est très grand, nous y avons passé (une nouvelle fois) de très bon moments. Idéalement placé dans Briançon entre plusieurs stations, le chalet est très facile d’accès. Je ne peux que le recommander et bien entendu nous reviendrons. Quelle belle région !

Lovely location and large property

We stayed for Christmas and a 50th birthday with 14 family members. There was ample space for all of us and the garage was very useful for storing all the skiing kits! With the driveway able to park 3 cars The house manager was really helpful when we had an issue with the power and had it sorted promptly. Our only criticism the house wasn’t as clean as it could be and there was several chipped plates and glasses which for the hire cost could easily be replaced more frequently. The area is beautiful and we would go back.

Location charmante très fonctionnelle et très adaptée pour un groupe important. C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons dans cette location : nous apprécions les chambres très calmes, les 3 salles de bain ( nous étions assez nombreux), le salon et sa cheminée avec vue sur les remparts et les pistes, la cuisine hyper bien équipée et son grand coin repas, idéale pour les familles et les groupes. La salle de ping pong / TV au 2 e étage est un vrai plus, tout comme le sauna et la grande pièce de rangement ! La neige en grande quantité nous a permis de skier sur le magnifique domaine de Serre Chevalier. Nous reviendrons !

Se réveiller dans le silence et découvrir la vue sur les remparts magnifiés par la neige ! Skier à Montgenèvre et déambuler dans la vieille ville de Briancon : nous avons adoré ce charmant chalet, confortable et très accueillant ... envie d’y rester

Les propriétaires ont été arrangeants et a l'écoute. Ils se sont montrés disponibles et leur personne de confiance présente sur le site a été adorable. Le chalet est très bien équipé il y'a absolument tout ce dont on avait besoin. Le sauna et la salle de jeux ont été un vrai plus pour ce séjour.. un grand Merci!

Wonderful base for cycling

We had a party of 14 staying at the chalet, with most of us riding in the Étape du Tour. It was a wonderful base for cycling. The garage gave us plenty of space to keep all of our bicycles and the chalet was well equipped. The location is perfect, just a 5-10' walk from the old city, where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Parking is ample, with room for three cars in the driveway and additional public parking on the street. Although the kitchen is quite small, everything is provided for preparing group meals. There is a second fridge/freezer, which was helpful. Highly recommended!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour en famille. La allocation est situé près de la citadelle, mais assez loin du téléphérique. Nous avon fait de jolie balade dans le vieux centres. Nous n'avons pas pris l'option du bus pour aller aux Oeufs; nous prenions l'une de nos voitures pour descendre les équipements. La maison est très grande avec un beau salon face à la cheminée, le garage pratique, de grandes chambre avec rangements et bien sûr la salle de jeu toute équipée. Nous n'avons pas trouvé la salle de repas très pratique. Elle donne sur l'entrée, est soumise au courant d'air et il est difficile de s'installer et de bouger sur le coté avec les bancs. Les salles de bain mériterait un coup de rajeunissement mais reste propres et fonctionnelles. Le sauna fut bien apprécié. Le TOP de la location: la magnifique vue sur Briançon et les montagnes. un régal de prendre son petit déjeuner face aux pistes! Bref, une location que je recommande pour les familles nombreuses.

Excellent séjour. Chalet spacieux, fonctionnel et idéalement situé. Parfait pour une famille nombreuse. Seul petit bémol : la cuisine et la salle à manger sont un peu étroites.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Le chalet est spacieux et très fonctionnel. Idéalement situé à deux pas des remparts et des magasins, nous avons pu découvrir la ville de Briançon après le ski. A bientôt sans aucun doute.

We were a party of 7 people looking to base ourselves in Briancon area, for summer Via Ferrata week but with easy access to shops, restaurants etc. This house was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and each was spacious, clean and comfortable. Often, houses are advertised as having bedrooms which turn out to be living rooms or top of staircases. Not in this case! Alice has accurately described her property. The floors and walls are of concrete so very quiet in each room. The beds were made up with provided linen (often not the case in France). The kitchen is very well appointed with almost every gadget you could possibly need. It was pleasing that there were staples in the cupboard - salt, spices, oil etc. Some rental accommodations clear out the cupboards completely, including salt pot, which can be annoying. Who on earth travels with duvet covers or wants to buy a year's supply of salt for a week? Well done Alice! The sitting room is comfortable too. If you have children, there are other rooms for them to amuse themselves in - a separate sitting room and the attic room which has toys and a ping pong table. The free Wifi worked well. The garden has a big cherry tree which happened to full of ripe fruit - mmmm. The house is in very close proximity to Briancon fort town/city; just a couple of minutes walk through a pleasant park to reach the old city. Restaurants and cafes are abundant, and you can stagger home easily. For Via Ferrata people, we did 8 brilliant routes and all within less than an hour driving time. There is also the superb spa at Monetier les Bains to ease your aching muscles in the various thermal water rooms - very good value at 16 Euros for 2 hours. The couple who manage the house are very nice and accommodating. We could not fault this rental and thought that it represented very good value for a large group.

This house is excellent. We have stayed there for the last three years and it is perfect for an activity holiday. The area has superb white water for kayaking and rafting, numerous Via Ferrata, mountain and road biking and of course the high mountains. The centre of Old Briancon is just a couple of minutes walk away - with its historic buildings, restaurants and shops. The house itself is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, the garden being our dining room most evenings. Highly recommended, we hope to return.
