This place exceeded my rather high expectations - I had such a wonderful stay here. The location is stunning with breathtaking jungle views and sounds - so lovely. The pool area is the best to suck it all in. Or from your own terrace if you have a room with jungle view. The staff is incredible, very service minded and attentive in a pleasant, discrete way. Thank you so much for your warm welcome and hospitality. I had an aroma therapy massage and facial at the Spa which were very good value for money too. The hotel itself is designed beautifully with a lot of taste and character. If that is not enough there is Indonesian art everywhere with explanations about its origins. It is done in a very tasteful and subtle way, if you are interested you can take a lot of enjoyment from looking around because literally everywhere you find beautiful art pieces. But if you are not the art just blends in with the furniture. I climbed mount Bartou to see the sunrise organised by Awan and that was absolutely worthwhile too. Crowded with other tourists though which I personally thought was a pleasant variation to the peace and quiet of the villa but if you want to avoid any crowds go bushwalking or explore other more quiet activities. Absolutely amazing place and I definitely hope to be back.
The food is delicious (I forgot to mention this before) and the ingredients fresh and local produce. there could be more vegetarian/vegan options. For the three nights I spent at the villa there was enough choice though.

We booked the jungle view villa which had some breathtaking sunrises as you wake in the morning. It was so still and so quiet. If you are looking for privacy and a quiet stay, this is it! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and it was like they already knew what you needed in advance…very proactive! Both Wayan the manager was so helpful and so accommodating as well as Wayan the driver was excellent and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Balinese culture and we had a lovely peaceful stay. Make sure you book bed and breakfast as the property is a little bit for from restaurants. The experience was fabulous! We will definitely visit again!🥰🥰🥰
I don’t know…what’s not to like? 😂

The setting of the hotel is so tranquil and quiet - perfect for resting and relaxing. The staff were also excellent. Wayan, the manager, was very responsive and accomodating, arranging drivers, laundry and meals, and the other staff, Koming, Wina and Motsi were very helpful too.

Absolutely everything! The villa was spacious and beautiful, the property was huge and well kept, and the view over The Valley was amazing. The staff including the ladies in the spa were lovely!
Nothing I can think of

Amazing pool and tranquil location with great views. Staff were amazing.
A little too far from Ubud for those wanting to go into the town frequently.
3.5 / 5.0
Quiet location far from the crowd of Ubud. Rooms big and quite confortable. Nice staff.
Resort not really well maintained - maintenance on the outsides is really poor. Molds all over the walls, fitness room really not well equipped. Umbrellas full of greenish molds. Pool water also needs a more serious check control.

The villas are located in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the most beautiful nature (rain forest, fruit plantations, volcano). The view from the luxurious villas and the infinity pool is incredible. The offered spa treatments are also really great and most of all the staff is just wonderful. Koming is the most wonderful and helpful person we‘ve met during our Bali journey. She took such good care of us and made our stay in Awan Biru villas even more special.
Nothing but you should know that there is really nothing else around there (no restaurants, warungs etc.). We were the only tourists in the area and the closest tourist spot is Ubud (45 Minutes by scooter). Even in the Kintamani area (around the volcano), which is also 30-45 minutes away, there were only very few tourists and tourist cafés. The hotel can organize trips like waterfall hiking or rafting. Just don‘t expect any opportunities to dine out at night :-)

Staying at Awan Biru was a truly fantastic experience. We want to thank Koman, Komin and Agus, who looked after us during our stay, for their excellent service, hospitality and warmth. You guys are amazing!! Awan, the manager, was super easy to reach and helped us organise activities during the days. Everyone at Awan Biru has a super big heart, and we were sad when our stay came to an end. Our room was super clean and free of any insects. The room was serviced every day. The infinity pool with views of Mt. Agung was amazing. There is a little gym, a mini golf course, and a pool table at the place. Lastly, I would like to mention that the food was SOOO GOOD!! We had different varieties of food and everything was super yummy and clean. Definitely NO bali belly :) We highly recommend staying at the place for anyone looking for a relaxing and almost zen-like experience in Bali.

Everything! This is a piece of heaven on Earth! Book if you want a few days of tranquil and peaceful moments! Book elsewhere if you plan to do day trips or require to escape the resort during the day! The facilities and staff are incredible! The pool view of the jungle is unique and will give you peace and relaxation!
Hard to be reached and no facilities outside the villa! But again, we booked it for having 2 - 3 days of paradise!

The food was great and the room was very nice and big.
Facilities had issues with being overgrown in parts and maintenance was not up to date. Looked like a new purchase/ reopening of an older villa. Need some cosmetics done like fixing the shims in the shower with caulk and painting some of the walls that are peeling. Need to chlorinated the pool as it was a green color and trim the plants around the walk ways. Some of the wood stairs felt shaky and soft may need to replace some of those. Also maybe open a more formal dining area it felt like the dining was an after thought and it took a whole for service. Would be better to break up service with drink first, then appetizer and then food instead of serving all at once.

Views into the jungle are incredible, the panorama with the two volcanos in the distance is amazing! Very clean room with beautiful indonesian artifacts beautiful, well maintained garden area and nice infinity pool. Staff is nice and attentive but also discreet. Communication with the villa manager via whatsapp was uncomplicated and extremely responsive.
Not too close to Ubud (around 30min). Should be considered when booking.

excellent location in the middle of the jungle and embedded in rice fields. Infinity pool with great views into the jungle and a breathtaking sunrise right behind Mt. Agung. One of the best views of my life.
and not to forget the super friendly staff who accommodated every wish. ….and we had a lot!!
there was nothing to complain about

Being a bit far from the crowds of Ubud, with breathtaking views of the forest and the volcanos early in the morning, makes it a great destination for those seeking to connect directly with the nature on a tranquil environment! Our room on the upper floor had amazing view and we loved waking up there in the morning! Super friendly staff, always trying to accommodate your needs. If you are planning to not move a lot and you need any special things from super market, ATM etc is better to get them before you get there, because the area and the village around is very humble.

The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure everything you need is done how you want it. The food and especially the breakfast, was a highlight. The view was always magical during the day; you could see the volcano in the morning, and the clouds would sometimes be at the same level at the villas.
Being someone who doesn't feel comfortable around insects and other creatures, it was difficult for me to sleep comfortably and enjoy the outdoors. But that is to be expected from such a location and everything else compensated for it.

I am from USA and my husband is from Spain and we have travelled to Bali many times. We loved everything but the views of Mt Agung, the exquisite tribal decoration, and the extraordinarily professional and discrete staff were what stood out. The location is authentic Bali because it's away from the masses of tourists ,making this an especially peaceful and elegant place.Magnificent breakfasts and dinners. . I Wayan Diana, the property manager , was always attentive, cordial and efficient. Absolutely recommendable
Nothing.

Very comfortable environment. I saw the sunrise and the volcano in the morning I originally wanted to find a place without human habitation to recover. A hotel in the rainforest is a very good choice. Every day I fall asleep listening to the singing of birds and insects. I also had a spa here, excellent masseuse and I fell asleep comfortably listening to the sounds from the jungle. The staff here are also friendly and enthusiastic, and the manager will fully meet your needs. By the way, the lack of insects in the house is beyond my expectations
It would be nice if the deck chairs by the pool were newer.

If you're looking to get away and just relax and enjoy nature and tranquility this is the place for you! This accommodation is in the perfect location if you are looking to get away from the busyness of Ubud/Canggu/Seminyak etc. It is located about 30 minutes north of Ubud and is remote and secluded which makes it very peaceful. The view of the jungle is incredible and on a clear day you have Mount Agung right in front. The staff were absolutely amazing and on hand for anything you need. Pak Mustika (the hotel manager) is friendly, personable and helpful.
