We will NEVER forget this week!!!
The House IS AMAZING... The staff is better.
5 Star service from Estephan and "The Ladies" and Juan and Alonso helped us with all our excursions.
Breakfast every morning was a treat. THE JUNGLE is crazy good. Waterfalls and river exploring was so much fun.
Shout out to enry and Norma at Dominical Adventures for the best surf lessons and instructors.
Beyond everything we could have hoped for....we even met the owner while he was working on the property.
You would have to be an idiot to not stay at Villa de Los Aries!!!
Costa Rica...Pura Vida

We were a family of 7 so lots of space for all! After a long nighttime drive we arrived to this beautiful home, greeted by the amazing staff and owner. It really is a wonderful home and property where great memories were made and everyone one unwinded and relaxed and enjoyed the amenities the property offered. We did a few excursions - zip lining, ATVing, Beach and National Park but looked forward to returning to our”Costa Rican” home.
The property has lots to discover - Esteban took us on a couple of hikes to the waterfalls - he is a fountain of information and we learned a lot about the fauna and flora.
Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful . The beauty of this place, besides the scenery, is the amazing staff who were there for whatever we needed and felt like family during our stay. They went over and above, from changing a flat tire to being up for three who had to leave for home at 5:00 a.m. and having coffee and breakfast for them (told them not to get up - we would grab something ourselves) but there they were with big smiles on their faces.
This was a true Costa Rican experience and would highly recommend it to everyone. I will warn you to be prepared for the drive to the property, 4 wheel drive a must - but isn’t this a part of the whole experience!

This is an absolutely amazing property. Pictures can’t do it justice. After a long ride from the airport to get there, we stepped onto the front porch all of our jaws dropped. We couldn’t believe we were staying in this place.
Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, the property with these awesome hikes down to the river in the waterfalls.
Unless you’re familiar with Costa Rica would definitely encourage you to rent the vehicle from the concierge or he will personally show for you wherever you want to go. He also help make any type of reservations, meals and anything else.
Can’t say enough about the staff. Just double.

Our group had an amazing time staying at this property. The property itself was great for the 10 of us, there were incredible views and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a secluded getaway!

Absolutely beautiful! This was an amazing stay for our family. I've never been more taken care of in any hotel or other lodging. Esteban made everything happen there. Interactive and giving but never intrusive. A truly beautiful place surrounded by nature.

There were 8 of us in 2 cars. The location the first time is a little fun to find but it is DEFINATELY worth it! Juan, Estaban the kitchen staff, housekeeper and chef were all amazing! We had them celebrate our daughter’s graduation from college with us! The views are unbelievable, Costa Rica snow and the sunsets! Great waterfalls, monkey watching, toucans in property. Grocery stores and fruit stands close - we would go back in a heart beat!

What a unique experience staying in a house surrounded by jungle. From the moment we arrived we were met by Esteban, who throughout our 8 day stay took care of our every need. The house is located on approximately 60 acres of lush vegetation that includes several waterfalls and streams. Howler monkeys and Toucans are common on the property. You can spend 2 days just exploring the waterfalls without leaving the property. There is also a wonderful pool to enjoy during the heat of the day.
We had 17 people in our family group and still had room to stretch out. Yinnery is the cook that provides breakfast every morning and also will cook dinner on request. Her dinners are fantastic so I highly recommend booking her for some of your meals. The house cleaner is awesome, she cleans every room every day and the floors in the common area throughout the day. Juan is available to book excursions at your request.
You will need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the property but it’s a great adventure driving to the house. The beach is a 20 minute drive and there are several restaurants close by. Overall this is a great property for fun and relaxation.

This was our second stay at the Villa and we enjoyed it immensely once again. 20 in our group ranging from ages 1 to 76. Beautiful property with great customer service by the whole staff. Needs are met promptly and any assistance you request is given their utmost attention. Breakfast by Yinnerie is always a delight and she is such a kind person. The whole staff is so accommodating and we have made great friends on both of our visits. Juan (Macho), Esteban, Maria and Sophia did such a great job engaging with us while not being over-intrusive. We are excited for our next trip to see everyone. Thanks again to Stephen for sharing his home with us for this vacation. Another job well done. Pura Vida!

our stay at the Villa was amazing. The house was just as the pictures show and more! the upkeep of the property is superb as the on site staff work hard to keep everything top notch and cater to the guests needs. Our family vacation exceeded our expectations and more.

What a great experience! The house, property, and staff exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful and looks even nicer than the pics on the website. We only had 8 in our group, so we had plenty of room. I could see this easily accommodating 20 people. Wifi and AC both worked great and we spent many hours in the pool and exploring the property. Loved going to sleep to the sound of howler monkeys and waking up to Toucans in the trees. We swam in the rivers, jumped off waterfall cliffs, and sampled many of the native fruits on the property. Maria cooked us fabulous meals, kept the house perfectly clean, and is such a wonderful person. Estaban took us on tours of the property and provided us with so many interesting facts about the plants, wildlife, and culture of Costa Rica. Both Estaban and Maria are wonderful people and made this a very special vacation for our family. We did explore Dominical, Uvita, and Manual Antonio during our stay, but our favorite times were spent together on the property. We've stayed at many VRBOs, but this was our favorite. Also, want to mention that the owner Stephen was great to work with. Very informative and always got back to us ASAP with questions. If you are considering a real Costa Rica vacation, you would have a hard time finding a better place than Villa Los Aires! We will be back next year. Pura Vida!

We had the most incredible stay at the Villa! That was unbelievable. We hired two of the staff to be our private drivers, and they have become lifelong friends! The long drive up the mountain was totally worth it . Plan to stay up there, because it is a long drive down the mountain. There are so many wonderful hikes to private waterfalls on the property. There is also access to horseback riding and atvs close by. Highly recommend following Stephan’s suggestions . He booked us the most incredible tours ! Stephan made sure our trip was perfect . The food that the villa cooked for us was plentiful and delicious . No need to go to restaurants. I Highly suggest hiring Juan and his father who work at the villa to be your private drivers . They were there every second that we needed them . They are the most caring and wonderful people you will ever meet . Esteban and Maria who work in the villa are also amazing. They made my children’s experience incredible !! We can’t say enough good things about the people of the villa . Stay here ! You will never regret it ! The bedrooms are spacious as well and the air conditioning is a plus !!
We will be back !

Such a unique and amazing property. Breathtaking views, beautiful waterfalls , saw howler monkeys and toucans almost every day. The exceptional staff keep the house very clean and prepare a beautiful breakfast every morning to start the day right. We were able to reach Dominical and Uvita beaches, ziplining and mango river kayaking all within a short drive from the property. And also spent a couple days just relaxing in and beside the pool. It was my 4th time there and it never disappoints.

This villa and property exceeded our expectations. We loved the amazing staff. Maria was a wonderful cook and attended to all of our dietary needs. The complementary breakfast was substantial and included many local delights. Esteban was an awesome guide to show us around the property and introduced us to native plants and animals (including monkeys and sloths). Juan responds quickly and was able to shop and book excursions for the whole family. We did several day trips but our favorite days were spent hiking and relaxing at the villa. It is clear that the villa and surrounding property is well maintained and cared for by Stephen.

This remote location does not disappoint. If you love experiencing nature in God’s beautiful landscape this is your spot.
JuanJose, Maria and staff took excellent care of us. Our family will always remember our special time in the Costa Rican jungle.

Pura Vida Vows - we were looking for a small intimate space to host our gratitude ceremony and wedding and came across Villa los Aires.
What appealed most on the listing was that it was in the most beautiful mountainside with many waterfalls right on the property.
Even before booking, the owner Stephen was extremely helpful in answering all the many questions I had. We had many moving pieces to our events and I wanted to ensure that this was the right venue for us. And oh wow can I say it was. After a bit of a rocky journey to get to the Villa, we arrived to be greeted by the whole staff!
Juan Jose (whom I had been coordinating an excursion with) went above and beyond when my sister (who’s brakes failed on a very isolated and rough road) needed assistance. He brought them food and blankets and guided their way to the house. He made sure that we went over all the details for the ceremonies and that the staff was prepared.
María José is a sweet and kind person who worked with me on all the dietary needs for our party of 18. She took extra care of my elderly mom and made her stay easy. The meals she prepared for us were delicious and made with so much love and care.
Esteban was so knowledgeable about many of the local flora and fauna. He even took some of the other kids out for a hike to the waterfall. Katerine helped settle us in to our rooms making sure our rooms where cleaned and tidy daily. She also took care in setting up the decorations for our events, making an already beautiful space into something magickal.
Each of them put so much effort into making our stay feel as if we were right at home. As our guests arrived on separate days, the staff was always present and attentive.
Make no mistake, they do not exaggerate when they say you NEED a 4x4 vehicle as the road to the house is very very bumpy and as we came at the tail end of winter, super muddy and slippery.
The house is very spacious, clean and private so you truly do feel like you’re on vacation. We hope to stay again perhaps during better weather. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Look no further. The reviews of Villa Aires are true: this place is special. The people make the place, and the staff at Villa Aires go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. Maria cooks from the heart, and we could taste her care in every bite. Her beans are the best any of us have ever eaten anywhere in the world! She made vegetarian fare for one of us; instead of just eliminating the meat, she went above and beyond to cook a single creative and delicious entree. Esteban and Juan were such warm and gracious hosts and took us on walks to the private waterfall and down to the river, all the way explaining the flora and fauna that grace the property. There is really no need to leave. In fact, every time we ventured out we realized the best of Costa Rica was AT Villa Aires itself. We had our own personal sloth who lives in the tree just off the patio, and the toucans put on a daily show. The waterfall at the Villa was actually nicer than the more commercial Nauyaca falls we visited nearby. I really could go on and on. Thank you for a glorious stay!

We had a great time in Costa Rica. The supporting staff was great. They were very attentive to our needs. Juan, Esteban & Marita were the best. Juan was very helpful in helping us schedule tours. Esteban was very helpful around the house showing us the various plants and answering all of our questions.
We had a sloth hanging out by the house which was really cool to see. The Toucans were always around.
The house was immaculate. Plenty of space for our party of 8. The pool and hot tub were perfect after a long day of running around Costa Rica.
We had a great time!

Perfect Retreat Home
19 of us stayed for 4 nights and it was everything we expected. The Staff: Steve, Jeffrey, Housekeeping and cooks were very friendly and accomodating. They food was AMAZING and they all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From cooking dinner at 10pm because our flights were late, to taking us down to the waterfalls to cooking breakfast at 4am before we depareted for the airport.
I would definitely book this home again.....

Amazing views and service
Our family of 9 stayed for 10 days and we loved this property, the pool (the kids were in it rain or shine), the trails, the waterfalls, and especially the staff. The breakfasts Each morning were delicious and served with a smile. Juan coordinated everything, Yeneri (Jenny) prepared the breakfasts, Mariana made sure everything was clean and even did our laundry, Esteban helped keep the pool clean and even took us on a hike to the waterfalls, and they all were super friendly and allowed us to practice Spanish while we helped them with English. They felt like part of the family!
One thing to note is the house is remote (up in the mountains on a dirt road in the jungle) so a bit of a drive and a 4 wheel drive is needed especially in rainy season. And there are bugs, spiders, bats, birds, frogs, etc in the area and even in the house regardless of how clean they keep it. But that's one of the things we loved.
Wish we could have stayed longer. We miss Costa Rica, this house, and the staff already!

Great Costa Rican Jungle Experience
Wow!! What a beautiful week. This was our 52nd anniversary (50th anniversary celebration postponed 2 years by Covid). We had a fantastic time with our children, their spouses and our grandchildren – 10 in all. The location, the facility and the staff were beyond what we expected – and we expected a lot based on what we’d seen online. We even had a sloth (we named him “Stan Juan”) take up residence in the “toucan” tree beyond the pool for several days.
While the location provided abundant opportunities to explore the jungle, the watefalls, the flora and the fauna, the staff was a big highlight of our stay. Juan took every opportunity to provide assistance and information to facilitate our wants and desires. Estaban (we called him the Professor) identified exotic plants and animals that we saw. Maria was a gem. She not only cooked fabulous meals and maintained the house, she worked constantly to make our stay enjoyable. Finally, Jeanie (sp) , provided morning breakfasts and worked on dinners too. The food was delicious! With all the staff, we felt like we’d met part of our family that we didn’t know before.
The 2+ mile road into Villa Los Aires off the main highway was an adventure the first time (night and raining) but soon became normal to us. We only used the car’s 4x4 on our initial trip in, but it was good to know that we had it. Our grandchildren (ages 14 – 18) explored extensively on the property and we felt very comfortable letting them roam.
Thank you Villa Los Aires and staff. You have provided memories that will last a lifetime. Our son sent us a WhatsApp message saying: #canistayhere?

Beautiful Place, Long Drive
The villa is stunning. They have a waterfall about 10 minutes from behind the house. And a small one in the front of the house. We had fresh bananas every day. We had a maid service every day and had breakfast cooked every day. The cook was so beautiful, and she had a beautiful spirit, and she was so sweet. The maids were just as sweet. I’m going to miss Alonso and Stephen. They were accommodating and couldn’t have been better. Juan and Esteban were even better once Alonso and Stephen had left on their trip. Anything we needed, they were there, and they helped. No matter what! One of our cars got stuck, and they ended up helping us get it out of the mud and cleaned it off for us. The only thing I recommend is that you make sure if you rent this home, you are ready for that 3 1/2 to 4 Hour Dr. from the airport in SJO. Also, ensure that you are given 4 x 4 vehicles because the terrain is very rough going towards the Villa Road. And if you are sensitive to altitude, this is not the place for you. Many of us could not eat because of how High up we were, but the place is beautiful. Make sure you bring bug spray because the bugs love that house just as much as we did. We were able to see a sloth in the morning, and the toucans would wake us up every morning. I love this house. I wish it were not so far from the airport. I was also sensitive to the altitude so I experienced some medical issues but once I made it down to lower level I was fine. Once again the house is beautiful the house for beautiful the maid and the cooks were beautiful. We enjoyed it. They also threw me a birthday party that was so beautiful and lavish I appreciate it so so much. I wish I could go back lol.

Amazing experience!!!
We stayed at this property with a large group of family and friends including kids and teens. I dont know where to start as this property elevated our vacation to an immersive experience. We arrived at the villa at night and just seeing it for the first time all lit up was magical. The large open air area to hang out right next to the pool was incredible. We all had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the gorgeous view of the surrounding valley and mountains. The plentiful bedrooms and bathrooms were always kept immaculately clean and there is AC to sleep comfortably at night. While the property itself was stunning, it was the staff that made it an experience. Prior to arriving, Stephen was very responsive and assited us in getting all our questions aswered and activities planned. Once we arrived, Alonzo immediately made us feel welcome and spent many hours answering all of our random questions and helping us with planning out our week and even scheduling Covid testing for us on the last day. We loved how Esteban took time everyday to teach us about different plants on the property and shared with us many of the fruits growing on the proprty that we had never tried before. Both he and Juan Jose made sure we were all enjoying our vacation and were always available to get us extra supplies or whatever we needed. They even took us hiking several times to different waterfalls on the property, Two of my family members had birthdays during the stay and they made sure to make them extra special even buying a present for my husband! Jeffrey, whom we called "Mr. behind the scenes", was always working in the background to make things nicer and make us feel even more spoiled. Yineri was our chef and I cannot say enough about the amazing food she provided to us! Daily breakfasts were amazing and she was always flexible to add different items. The dinners we had were very special and you could tell were prepsred with love! Our houskeepers Silvia and Chicky did an outstanding job keeping everything clean and tidy while doing an immese amount of laundry for our 16 person crew! This property and staff are unparalled to anything we have gotten to experience before and we are grateful for having found this special place. It will live on in our hearts and memories until we are able to return!

Fabulous place to retreat
We so enjoyed our stay - the staff were terrific and really let us focus on our retreat time. Lovely, home-cooked meals and really thoughtful help from the house manager. Juan Jose went above and beyond to make sure our time was well-spent, and he's also a great driver if you need to add that on!
Gorgeous views, very spacious, very clean, and loved that the staff skimmed the pool and tidied the grounds every day. Cool in the evenings and mornings and pleasant in the afternoons--we barely needed the AC in the rooms. Terrific people, great place, and we'll definitely be back.

Magical Vacation
This property is simply beautiful. The staff was friendly, but not intrusive. The house was spotless. Bedrooms all had their own bathrooms. All the bedrooms were huge! The location was perfect for exploring waterfalls ( right on the property), going on excursions, or just enjoying the day in a huge, sunny pool. We used the hot tub every night.
A bonus you cannot buy: amazing sunsets from the pool area, toucans playing near us daily, and a young sloth we watched climbing a tree two days during our stay.
This house is hidden in the forest for total privcay, and a short ride to Baru for convenience. Dominical is just down the road for a surf town vibe. We explored Manuel Antonio while there!
Bring binoculars, water shoes, and enjoy.
We were just 3 people and felt totally safe , but the house easily fits 20.

AMAZING!!
Villas Los Aires was such a great experience! The grounds are beautiful and filled with wildlife. The view from the pool / patio are spectacular especially when watching the sunset. But the best part was the staff, especially the concierge Jorge. Are arrival was delayed and we did not arrive until 2am, but he was still up and greeted us with a smile;) Just one small example of how him and his team helped make this a great experience.

A true vacation
Jorge was so helpful in making our stay wonderful. We worked together to plan our transportation, activities and food. From the early morning coffee, pancakes made specifically for our little girls to making a stop for us at grocery for essentials. One of our guests was under the weather one day and he made sure everything was taken care of. All the staff were so kind and helpful and truly made this a vacation to remember. I highly recommend!

"Trip of a lifetime" for the whole family
Wow, what can we say to describe Villa Los Aires? Our family of 10 adults and 9 kids had the most wonderful stay here over Thanksgiving week. We were welcomed by Jorge, the concierge, and began a week of wonderful hospitality, delicious meals, and adventures in the pool, hot tub, and the three awesome waterfalls on the property. Beautiful flowers, sloth, monkeys, toucans right outside the (door-less) house.
The staff is amazing, and quickly became friends as they took care of our every need. Jeannette, our chef, made breakfasts and dinners to remember. On Thanksgiving, we brought home two big Dorado we’d caught that morning, and she made the best ceviche and fish filet ever!
The housing is wonderful, the grounds are amazing, and the folks we met there will always be remembered (and we hope to be there again someday)!
The 4.2 km (2.6 mile) dirt road from Tinamaste is “exciting” but well worth the ride (4WD required!)
Although we travelled that road a few times to get to surfing, fishing, snorkeling and zip-lining, we were most happy at the Villa itself, with all it has to offer.
We can’t recommend Villa Los Aires highly enough!

Don't look any further. This is the place for you.
This was an amazing week spent with a group of 19 people ranging in age from 1 to 73. All of the reviews so far about the house and the staff are perfect. We could not be more impressed with everything at this property. Jorge, the concierge, is a fantastic host and ensures your stay is exactly what you want it to be. My one regret is not allowing him to schedule all of our excursions. I booked a rafting trip myself and it was the only thing that was sub-par. Not the fault of the property or Jorge. Everything that I allowed him to book for us was amazing. He knows the area and knows which outfits are best. Horseback riding, zip-lining, hiking, food ideas, etc. were all great and were scheduled by Jorge. Yinere, the cook for the house, is the most beautiful person both inside and out. I highly suggest you allow her to cook for you at least a couple of evenings. The food is amazing! Jorge and his crew go all out on the dinners and you will be glad that you had them make dinner for you. Macho, Jeffrey, Sylvia, and Jamie are all part of the crew that make your stay a spectacular experience that you will not forget. We made some life long friends on this trip and we are already planning our return. They are there to accommodate anything you need without being overbearing. By the time the week was over, they really do feel like family. We had the best time interacting with all of them. One of our guests broke her ankle while on the trip and Jorge did everything to make her comfortable. Jorge went to the hospital and pharmacy with us. He was able to find a wheelchair and crutches for her. He helped find a local farmer that was able to get her out of a very remote location with limited access when the incident occurred. The sincere and genuine care that Jorge and his crew showed for my family was fabulous. The local community is wonderful and all of the people could not be more pleasant and helpful. Local food in the area was great. This is way off the beaten path. Do not expect a tourist location. Expect to be by yourself with no one bothering you. The property has waterfalls, pools, hiking trails, etc. right outside your door. Once again, my hat is off to a great crew of staff and a beautiful property. Don't delay, book this property. I can't wait to see everyone again. Thanks for a great time.

Absolutely amazing!
This property is amazing and everybody should experience it at least once! It sits on 60 acres of raw land with waterfalls, rivers and all kinds of fruit trees (including tiny pineapple growing out front). Jorge is the concierge and there everyday serving breakfast and helping with whatever you need. I highly recommend having the chef come in and prepare your dinners. She is an amazing cook! This property will not disappoint and we look forward to staying here again.

As a group of 10 family and friends, we visited Villa Los Aires for the week of my husband’s 40th birthday. From the very beginning, even prior to booking, Stephen, the property owner, was quick to respond and very helpful. He was kind, understanding, and super accommodating of my many concerns, requests, and even reservation changes. Stephen is knowledgeable about travel to the property in general and shared insight on additional requirements for international travel during the pandemic. He sent us an emailed checklist of sorts about a week before our trip and made sure we had arrived safely and all things were as expected. Our group took advantage of the shuttle to and from the airport, which was well worth the money. The driver, Chris, was fun and personable, not to mention an excellent navigator! Once we arrived, the property far exceeded our expectations. It is magnificent. A beautiful home atop an even more amazing mountain with gorgeous views. The surrounding acreage included hiking trails through the jungle leading to several waterfalls and swimming holes. There’s plenty to do at the property, but we did need to rent a couple of 4x4 SUVs to leave. A neighboring town is about 10 minutes away with grocery stores and cute restaurants. The quaint little beach town of Domincal is about 30 minutes south, with awesome surf and plenty of things to do. All of this was wonderful, but it was really the staff that made our trip superb. Jorge is a fabulous property manager. He began communicating with me weeks before the trip helping prepare everything from transportation, to excursions, massages, meals, and he even arranged and traveled with us to get our covid testing prior to flying back home. A special thanks to him for buying a delicious birthday cake for my husband! We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and coffee every morning and opted for dinners nightly prepared by Lleneri. It was some of the best food we enjoyed while there. The rest of the staff including Sylvia, Rigo, Jeffrey, and Macho were just awesome! We all became friends and there were tears on the day we left. We will make it back to Villa Los Aires again soon and each of them knows they have a place to stay when they come to visit Texas!! Thank you all for making our trip so memorable.

Another amazing stay at villa los Aires
Jorge handles everything Even during this pandemic we had our own private house all the tours Jorge reserved for us were private so we were able to enjoy Costa Rica and stay safe the staff is very nice and accommodating would definitely come back for a third time

Before I booked this property, I read the reviews. They were so accurate!!! The property is a literal paradise and there is no need to ever leave it. Someone before me stated it may not be for everyone since it is remote, but, for my family, this was a positive. A major city is 20 minutes away, and the beaches are the same distance. Yet you are isolated on a private, beautiful property. The best of both worlds! Although picturesque beautiful, the staff was the key. Jorge will literally move mountains to make anything you desire happen! Best Christmas holiday we have ever experienced. You will not be disappointed hereFor sure!
