About this apartment rental
This unit is one of the few condos in Juniper Springs with unobstructed views of the White and Sherwin Mountains. The extra wide living room has two large windows instead of one to take in the magnificent views. This unit also has two balconies. Both bedrooms have the same view exposure as the living room. Thus, a total of five large pairs of windows and glass doors plus the two balconies to take in all the scenery.
This condo faces east, so as the sun sets in the west it shines directly on the White Mountains creating a brilliant sunset view of the range. Every morning the show continues with beautiful sunrises out of the east. As if this isn't enough, full moons rise from the east providing more spectacular views from the decks and windows.
Unit 307 is on the top floor which means you won't hear ski boots walking on the floor above you. (yes, the building has elevators)
Returning to the topic of mountain views, the vast majority of condos in this building have mountain views impacted by adjacent condominium projects (the 3 story Eagle Run Condos on one side and the 4 story Juniper Springs Lodge on the other). Eagle Run Condos and Juniper Springs Lodge views are conversely impacted as well. As you’ll be able to tell from the photos, unit 307, being on the top floor, at the south end of the building, facing East, is in a perfect location to view the mountain ranges.
The Sunstone building is one of only three true ski-in, ski-out buildings in Juniper Springs. Juniper Springs Lodge, while close to the lifts, is not a ski-in, ski-out building despite claims by some of its owners. Sunstone has the best setup of them all. Just off the great room there is a skier’s terrace. At one end of the terrace is the entrance to a heated ski locker room, which can also be accessed from the great room. At the other end of the terrace is the ski-in, ski-out takeoff area. The distance from the ski locker room across the terrace to the takeoff area is about ten steps. From the takeoff area it’s a short run down to the Eagle Express 6-person, high-speed chairlift. It doesn’t get any easier in Mammoth. No other area of Mammoth offers ski-in, ski-out access to the lifts. Note the Eagle Express chair lift opens around mid-December and closes shortly after Easter weekend. These dates are subject change based on snow conditions
Common area amenities include a year-round heated pool, hot tub, heated underground parking, bike racks, coin operated laundry room, and a small fitness center. The pool patio and lounge chairs are located in a nice sunny area. There is also a stainless steel outdoor grill on the patio during summer months.
The Sunstone building is in a quiet, peaceful area of Mammoth. There are no loud restaurants or bars on the first level or nearby to keep you up all night. When you sit on the balconies or open the windows you’ll hear nature, not village noise.
If you are driving an SUV with a cargo container, or a tall van note that the overhead garage door clearance is 8’2”.
The Mammoth free town shuttle is just down the hill near Eagle Lodge.
Free high-speed internet access is available throughout the complex. A full list of amenities for unit 307 is spelled out below.
This condo does not have air conditioning. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms.

A perfect 3 night stay for my wife and myself with 2 friends. Beautiful view, great layout for 2 couples. Updated amenities. Well stocked kitchen. Our host was prompt to answer our questions and address any concerns. Very friendly and accommodating. Will book again in the future for certain.

Amazing views, great location, wonderful amenities

Place is much bigger than the other 2 bedrooms, manager allowed us to check out late which was great. Would definitely stay here again

Excellent value for the location with amazing views. Very spacious and clean. Ski in/out access was convenient and we loved the hot tub and heated pool. The only downsides were the Sunstone Guest WiFi was very slow and not secure, fans in living room didn’t work, seemed to have some water damage on ceiling and condo furniture could use updating but host was very responsive and overall an excellent place. Would rent again. Suggest getting private WiFi.

Can’t get any closer to slopes. Step outside and put on your skis. Great location perfect for families.

We stayed here during a 3 day blizzard and we were so comfortable and happy. Great size living room and cozy bedrooms.

We would absolutely stay here again!

This is an ideal rental for anyone skiing/snowboarding. A true ski in/out property. The condo was spacious and confortable. The kitchen has all the essentials. Check in and check out were easy. Will try to stay here again.

This condo had an amazing view and was in a great location for ski-in/ski out convenience. I'm not sure you could do much better for that. Being on the top floor helped too, with so many people stomping around in ski boots, being on a lower floor might be a noise issue. The condo was also relatively quiet considering how busy and big the building is (we were there for a "ski week" break from school for my 11 and 14 year old).
I couldn't give it 5 stars because of the cons. It lacked some basic supplies that every other rental we've been to has had (salt/pepper, kleenex, bar soap for the shower). A laundry basket would have helped too. Also, the condo wasn't super clean. There were hairs on the bathroom sink and floor and food on the walls in a few places in the kitchen. The temperature was a little hard to control because the unit faces southeast, so the sun is intense for a good part of the day. (I was there for most of the day since my family skis and I don't.) It was a little run down too, but not too bad. If we try staying in this building again, we'll likely choose a different condo to see if it's any better.

Great location!

Great property and location. My wife doesn't ski so we always look for a nice place to spend some time and views are a must. This had both.
My son and I enjoyed the easy access to the slopes.
Check in process was very easy which accomodates a late arrival.
We would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Jeffrey's place. The unit is large and comfortable. We appreciated the humidifiers provided in each bedroom. The lockers and access to ski trails were extremely convenient. The covered parking was a bonus as well. Jeffrey was also very accommodating in considering our requests regarding the booking. We'd stay here again!

Clean, beautiful scenery, peaceful

Very enjoyable stay with outstanding views. Unit was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Everything we needed for a few days in beautiful Mammoth Lakes.
4.8
This is true ski-in/ski-out, a comfortable, convenient place to get the most out of your time in Mammoth. Unit has an expansive eastern view facing down the mountain, with views from both bedrooms and the living room. We were there in a record-breaking snowstorm, and the apartment managers were heroic getting to us quickly several times to fix a broken appliance and a faulty toilet, and to restart the gas fireplace burner. Despite that, we'd stay here again.
4.8
Convenient and comfortable with great mountain views. It was July so we had to drive to main lodge to take advantage of the late season snow, but this was a very good location for our family.
4.8
Convenient location, nice layout!

Due to heavy snow and town shut down, property manager and owner very accommodating. Beautiful property with views.

We had a great time in mammoth staying in this property! The condo was spacious with beautiful views from the balcony and we especially loved the hot tub and pool!
4.8
Fantastic location to relax or explore the surrounding mountains. Very clean and comfortable space, and the view from both balconies was amazing. We hope to stay here again!
4.8
We love staying at Juniper Springs. The unit was well furnished and very clean. One request I would have is to have some ventilation in the common hallways. The halls were 80-90 degrees at all times, keeping the units themselves warmer than they needed to be.
4.8
We really loved our stay in this condo. Great location, specious rooms with comfortable beds and very close to ski lifts. And the views where amazing. Will definitely be back.
4.8
Condo is well located and it has nice rooms and facilities for two couples. Easy parking access, nice pools, and definitely worth coming here again. Very attentive hosts as well.

We loved so many things about this condo and are happy we gave it a try:
*exceptional checkin/out instructions. The photos really helped us especially with all the snow
*The view is spectacular! I will miss seeing the mountains outside the windows each day.
*It was very quiet and relaxing, the couches were comfy as were the beds. We loved the soft sheets and NO heavy perfumed laundry detergent. Thank you for that!
The kitchen had well stocked appliances and we appreciated all the towels available including the pool towels.
We loved your comfortable home, thanks for sharing!!! We look forward to our visit next year.
