I waited too late to find a place to stay for Thanksgiving, but as it so happens, that allowed me to find this cabin. Since it was Thanksgiving/November, we weren't interested in using the dock, but we did walk down to it and it was quite far. The parking is a little tight if you park next to the garage, but if you park in front of the garage, it's on an incline and you may stick out into the street depending on the size of your vehicle. The steps to the front door can be slick with moss, so be sure to use the handrail. There were a few dead bugs and spider webs throughout the cabin, but for it's location and not being steadily lived in, I can't really fault that and it didn't bother me too much. While there are a lot of towels, there were only a handful of washcloths, you may want to bring some with you. The steps to the second floor were steep and slightly uneven, again, just use the handrail. Speaking of, instead of there being one continuous handrail, there were several handrails all at different angles. Just odd. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay. It was a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

First of all the house is stunning. Loved all the finishes they were just so pretty. We loved the location on the lake. Due to time restraints we were unable to use the lake. But would love to return for a longer stay. We loved all the space in house, everyone had their own room and bathroom to use. Owner was in contact and awesome. We would highly recommend this home as a must visit!

The rental was just as described in the posting, the place was very clean, and very well stocked with utensils, and linens needed, the neighborhood was very quiet. The listing was not exaggerated.
It is a short walk to the lake, but the view is worth it.

We had a very nice stay. Excellent communication with the property manager as well. I enjoyed the walk down to the dock but for our older guests it was a little more difficult. Great place to stay and glad we picked this lovely cottage!

Beautiful lake cottage on Lake Lanier! This was a wonderful place to stay. The lake cottage had a quaint, rustic charm and the overall “feel” of the place was peaceful and relaxing. Everything was as described, and the lake cottage was well-appointed. Beds were comfortable and everyone was happy to have a queen bed to sleep in. It was great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer for laundry during our stay. Also, Wayne was kind to provide access to the dock for a boat and had a kayak and paddle board available for us to use. Highly recommend! Thank you for a lovely vacation experience. It made this birthday trip memorable!

This little cottage felt like my family’s summer cottage on the bay in Maryland. If you are looking for a super modern home, this isn’t it. It was a bit of a hodge podge of furniture and décor but had a comfortable homey feel that I can appreciate. It was quiet, clean and had plenty of space for our family. We didn’t cook while we were there so I can’t speak much to the kitchen equipment, aside from the toaster and microwave for quick breakfasts. The laundry room was great to have. We did bring laundry soap from home, but there was some to use if you hadn’t, so that was nice. Upstairs the bedrooms were decent sized. The primary bedroom with the windows all the way across the back of the house was really neat! The only thing I found quite odd, and I was not a fan of, is that the ensuite bathroom is completely open to the bedroom. Zero privacy in that one. All three bathrooms had really nice walk-in showers with benches and toiletries available if you forgot your own. The water pressure and temps were great, which is a big deal after swimming in the lake all day! The use of the dock was awesome. While I know the home is in a very wooded area, the veranda could use a good bit of cleaning up. The owner was very responsive when we reached out to him. While the neighborhood feels remote and is all dirt/gravel roads, it’s also in a convenient location to lots of stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful time here. Overall, I recommend this home for your stay on Lake Lanier.

This is a fun little house on a quiet end of Lake Lanier. We were in town for a Weezer concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheater.
The house is in a great location, it has a remote feel, but very close to town.
There's a great private dock that holds a kayak, paddle board and a ladder for swimming.
The only downside is the walk back up from the dock to the house isn't for the feint of heart, it is a good cardio workout that tests your knees.
The owner was great, especially with communication.
We would definitely stay there again.

Could be a lovely property but it is not at present. Furnishings are very dated and dirty. Upstairs bathroom has a horrible entrance design and a tripping hazard which I experienced first hand. Decor is horrible. Porch furniture is filthy. Don’t look under the sleeper sofa! It resembles a Mini van with several kids that has never been cleaned out. This place has potential, just needs attention. Would not recommend in its present state.

Nice property, has a log cabin feel to it. My 3-year-old granddaughter loved the walk to the lake. Large yard for kids to run around. Would definitely stay here again.

Wayne was so incredibly accommodating to us. He was open to early check-in if no guests were there the day before, allowed us use of the dock, to dock our boat and had everything you could need in the house. Really fun weekend!

Great property, outstanding host
Austin is such an excellent host, and we enjoyed his place so much, that we’re already planning to reserve it again next year. He allowed us early check-in and late checkout based on our flight times, and his place was the perfect size. Loved the beauty and quiet of his spot during the fall.

Great place for a long weekend with friends
My friends and I had a great time! We spent everyday laying on the dock and floating on on the water. There is a bit of a hike (as described by the owner so not unexpected) to the water but the trail is pretty easy to walk; it took us no more than 3-4 minutes to walk to the water.

House space fit the bill for family stay. Exterior could use a cleanup for spider webs, etc
Relatively easy.

Fun lake cabin
The Cabin was a blast to stay at. Not a far distance to the lake and dock. Also had a flat backyard we were able to play cornhole and kan jam in.

Enjoyable Time of Lake Lanier
This property was wonderful! Located on a quiet street it was just what we were looking for! The lake is a short walk from the house and our kids loved jumping in and swimming around the dock. Stores were a ten minute drive from the house, but we didn't see a reason to leave! House was wonderful!

Couldn’t have been better!
The cottage was far more than we expected! So many extra household supplies and lake equipment — fishing poles, double kayak, life vests, etc. The walk down to the dock was lovely, but the walk back up was a nuisance, although very doable! Owner was available for needs or questions. We will eagerly go back!

Fathers Day Vaca
Great time had by the entire family. The host was incredible and responsive in regards to any questions. The ptoperty was stellar, and in a great location. Nice quiet getaway spot but clise enough to amenities and retail establishments 😃

Wonderful place to stay
We had a great time at the lake cottage. It had everything we needed. The trail to the lake was a little longer than I expected, but well worth it once we were at the dock.

Great Weekend Lake Getaway!
Perfect cottage on Lanier if you and some friends are looking for a weekend at the Lake! Cottage has ample space for 3 couples and the screened in porch and green space with fire pit add to what the property has to offer. Dock is a good walk down from the rental but not unmanageable. Quiet relaxing cove with little to no boat traffic and we were there on a holiday weekend. Owner was very responsive and I would stay at this property again.

Chill weekend
This property is perfect for a relaxing, no frills weekend on the water. All bathrooms were nice, the a/c worked fine, kitchen had a lot of utensils, and the dock was a great hang out. Caught a few fish. Only down side was the cob webs in the screened porch. Old guests may need help getting back and forth from the water. 5 stars from me!

Nice property
This is a nice little cottage. Comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Just be a little careful if you are over 5’2” because you’ll probably bump your head on the sloping ceilings in the bedrooms and master bathroom. Low water pressure in 2 of the bathrooms but pressure is fine in the master bath. There’s a nice nature walk down to the dock. Overall really nice.

Too many steps
My wife has had both of her knees replaced and although everything was excellent the stairs inside the cottage and the walk to the top of the stairs down to the boat dock as well as the stairs themselves was too much for her.
