About this house rental
Belle Vue Beach House was recently nominated by Stayz Accommodation in their top 20 most popular holiday houses for 2020 with only two being nominated in Tasmania for this national award. Belle Vue Beach House was short-listed for its coastal, cray fisherman’s shack, aesthetic and ideal summer views at Binalong Bay.
A classic Tasmanian cray fisherman's shack that, until its recent extensive renovations, has remained untouched for the past 60 odd years.
Perfectly positioned opposite the famous Binalong Bay swimming beach, the breathtaking, uninterrupted views are truly the most pleasing and rewarding experiences that this unique beachside environment has to offer.
There is no need to get in the car and drive to where the main attraction is, nor is there any need to scale great heights to accommodation at the top of the hills to see what is on offer, Belle Vue Beach House has it laid out right in front you, all within easy walking distance, even to the Meresta Eatery which is only 200 meters down the main road from us.
With its north-facing orientation from the expansive deck, you can soak up the hypnotic views of the Bay of Fires, famous for its endless private bays of explosive coloured boulders, pure white sand and pristine ocean.
Within an easy 10-minute drive from the east coast's largest town, St Helens, Binalong Bay is the perfect place to unwind and forget about the outside world as time beats to a different drum here.
Also topping the list of the world's most emerging destinations, international guidebook ' Lonely Planet' nominated this location as one of the world's top spots and stated; "this is the secret edge of Tasmania, laid out like a pirate's treasure map of perfect beach after sheltered cove, all fringed with forest . . . now is the time to visit as the crowds are sure to follow!"
Belle Vue Beach House is positioned perfectly to offer you quality interior furnishings and finishes to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
The front outside deck, which features the best views of the Bay Of Fires, offers substantial opportunity for entertaining and relaxing while taking in all the bay has to offer. Some treats may catch you by surprise. Such as large pods of dolphins, 40 or more, accompanied by seals, coming within metres of the shoreline in their pursuit of a feed of the ever present 'black back' salmon. Even Humpback, Southern Right and Orca whales can be watched in season right from our deck on their migrations north and south, generally hanging around and playing for days on end. There is also a secret population of fairy penguins living their lives right under our noses. But please don't tell anyone!
For fishing enthusiasts, the area is known as the 'Game Fishing Capital' of Tasmania with large schools of salmon, tuna and even marlin on the menu. For fly-fishing enthusiasts, take your choice of ocean, estuary or freshwater pursuits with some of Tasmania's best trout waters within an easy drive.
Belle Vue has recently been renovated with a contemporary modern edge, but still maintains that cosy, intimate, beach house feel that you will appreciate and enjoy. Offering 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with laundry facilities), one fabulous open plan living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen for entertaining and quality furnishIngs throughout.
If you can't be bothered slaving over the bbq, head down to the Meresta Eatery /Cafe, it's only 200 metres from our door step.
Alternatively, try your hand at our authentic Italian Wood Fired Oven, which also creates some fantastic roasting options for the budding chefs amongst you!
The 3 bedrooms offer 2 Queen size beds, one with ensuite bathroom and 1 double bed and 1 single bunk bed.
All new appliances and equipment, including bedding and linen.
Activities offered in the area and surrounds include: fabulous endless beach and bush walking, sensational world class mountain bike trails, cycling, canoeing, kayaking, surfing, deep sea game fishing, golfing and tennis.
Accessible noteworthy locations for a full or part day road trip from Binalong Bay include: Pyengana Dairy Company for their award winning cheeses, (approx 30 min drive), St Columba Falls (approx 40 min), Freycinet National Park, Wineglass Bay, Coles Bay (approx 1.5 hr), St Helens village/wharf/shops (10 mins) Lease 65 for sensational oysters that you can take back and enjoy with bubbles on our deck and the Moor & Smith Restaurant in St. Helens for great local produce.
If you are planning on touring around Tasmania, Binalong Bay is the perfect place to base yourself for a few days as so many places of interest can be reached within an hour or two's drive from here. The immediate attraction that grabs you here is the endless beautiful beaches and surroundings but the peaceful, laidback atmosphere is often what people enjoy the most.
We often hear our guests comment;
"l wish we had booked our stay at Belle Vue Beach House for longer, 2 days in Binalong Bay is just not long enough".
Sorry, strictly NO pets allowed.
No smoking inside please.

We loved the location! Amazing view. Well stocked, super clean and very comfortable.
Easy access to beach.
Appreciated that the fire was set and ready to light when we arrived.
There is no dryer which I think would be helpful - particularly in summer with swimming etc.

Beautifully presented house with a gorgeous view overlooking the water. This quiet sleepy town , lovely beach with its red rocks and inlets, offers a relaxing stay

The home was comfortable and well-decorated in beachy style and the view of Binalong Bay was peaceful. A bit of indulgence for just the 2 of us. We enjoyed having walks and a chilly swim out front. Being a beach house, there was a beach chair, beach umbrella but no beach towels, so bring your own and enjoy...the beach!

Belle Vue Beach House is a stunning, contemporary holiday house, positioned to capture the beauty of Binnalong Bay. It oozes comfort. Everything you need is at your fingertips. I was transported into a state of deep relaxation the moment I opened the door. The decor of the house sweeps your eye to the turquoise ocean. Perfection!!

Very comfortable and well appointed beach house. Amazing sea views. Just across the road from the foreshore and beach with the Bay of Fires stretching northwards. Great decking out front and another courtyard with barbecue and pizza oven at the back. Kitchen has all you need. What makes Belle Vue particularly special is the attention to detail and the presentation of the house, including the furnishings and art throughout.

This property was even more wonderful than listed. We loved Binalong Bay and gave us the opportunity to explore the Bay of Fires at our own leisure. Our hosts could not have been more helpful both before and during our stay. Our only regret is not staying longer. 6/5 stars!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner, Glenn, was very responsive to and thoughtful about our requests, but left us lots of space to enjoy our stay.
Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.
Loved the water views of Binalong Bay.

Beautiful new bathroom however, it is a fairly large and I think it needs a safety rail as there are older guests who may need the safety of a grab rail in such a large shower.

Beautifully appointed home with stunning views. Pictures were absolutely on point. Huge sunny deck with lounge and dinning options. We really enjoyed using the pizza oven also and loved the huge comfy lounges and big dinning table. Beds soft and luxurious. Beautiful beaches across the road and nearby and St Helen’s minutes away. Highly recommend.

A perfect house that met all our needs. Our hosts had thought of everything that anyone could possibly want in a home away from home. Comfortable bed and lounge room seating. Kitchen well equipped. The interior decoration of the house was wonderfully beach themed and showed an amazing attention to detail.

The property came with high praise and it did not disappoint, the location and beach house was excellent, very relaxing and by far in the most beautiful area of Tasmania in our opinion, be sure to take a drive up the coast and stop in at all the little bays and beaches... would highly recomeend

We’ve been coming back to BelleVue beach house at Binalong Bay for 9 years now and have recommended it to many of our friends over the years. It’s a great house, so comfortable with lots of space to relax on the huge front deck overlooking the ocean at any time of the day is perfect. Glenn and Jacquie are great hosts, and the house is beautifully styled and well maintained.

Phenomenal stay at Binalong Bay!! We loved wearing our winter woolies and lighting a fire. Perfect view and so clean. Loved the recommendations of where to go in St Helen’s. East Coast Providore is a must for anyone especially those Gluten Free. Perfect stay and could not recommend the house and the hosts more. Thank you Glenn and Jacquie!!

We enjoyed our stay at this well located home with a fab view & deck. Communication with the host was clear and helpful. Only thing we were a little surprised by was the 2nd toilet & shower are in a separate building on the back courtyard.
Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Beach House
We recently had a short stay at the Belle Vue Beach House. It is beautiful, with wonderful views, and the decor is stunning, if anything even better than the photographs suggest. The one thing that was a surprise to us was that the second bathroom is an external one. When we booked we looked at both the Stayz and Air B & B websites and neither site mentions this, although we now see that on the owners' own website it is specified. It didn't matter to us, we were only there a very short time, but it might be an issue for some renters so it would probably be a good idea for it to be stipulated on all the rental websites where it is advertised. But a lovely house in this wonderful part of Tasmania.

It was ok, needed black Tea not just green Tea. Milk only lasted a day with 4 people, was disappointed that some of us had to go outside then into the laundry to shower. The host was rude when we were to leave sending a message that a cleaner would be there at 10am to clean the place not sure why we pay cleaning fees when we had to leave everything as we found it… have a little compassion for your tenants that are traveling through…. But besides that perfect location and nice house…
