Cosenza indeed surprised my husband and me. It is quite small but so intensive with historical sites. I love the structure of this building, like a maze, there is a new view of this town in every corner of this accommodation. Amazing sunset view up on the hill and by the river, I met the best sunset view ever here. The host is well-English-speaking and friendly and helpful and all other good words for him. The dining room is a treasure, an original vintage historical kitchen built long time ago.

Host’s Franco and Patrizia are lovely caring souls!!They insisted to came pick me up (though there was Joy a very enthusiastic slightly hid puppy!). The room I found the room I was given very comfortable and had everything except kitchen, such as desk to work, space to walk, big bathroom, windows for breeze and first class bed. Didn’t ask for price difference, but there’s room where kitchen is provided. The position is wonderful, right under Palazzo Arnone and in the hart of the old town center though even the modern side is just at 10 min walk. The property is surrounded by a delightful garden with a century plus pine tree and friendly cats! The spirit and kindness of the hosts was so appreciated. Especially in this day and age where some not that nice intrinsic dynamics happened to play. I highly recommend this place. I think that even in rooms where kitchen is not provided, host would be available to prepare some extra or indue a kitchen class. The place is very convenient for whom from Amalfi and Cilento coasts or Basilicata want to reach Sicily or Inoic sea and Gioia gulfs

The property was lovely in the sense it was like walking into a time warp. The decor, smell, layout were all 100% believable that it was built centuries ago. The lady who welcomed us was very sweet but couldn’t speak English - in fact, no one in the town can speak English except for a few words here and there. Everything was laid out very well, the bed was comfortable, bathrooms were nice, they have a really nice, strong hairdryer.
The pillows on the bed were super flat. I travel with a pillow, but for someone who likes a fatter pillow to sleep with, that would be a problem. We had the whole play to ourselves, so it was lovely. But I gathered that if there was another guest booked into one of the other rooms, they would be sharing the place with us, which isn’t very different to a hotel, except that there is no lobby. So if that other person is a weirdo, you’re sleeping in the same house with that weirdo and no one is around to help if there is a problem.

beautiful old house in old town. lovely garden. good breakfast.

The breakfast was good with homemade jam.
It would have been good to know beforehand that there were many stairs to climb, not good for an elderly couple. Place was hard to find.

You feel like visiting relatives at their home. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, even though we did not speak the same language. We were visiting during the rainy day, but there is also a beautiful old garden.
The house is old, so don't expect fancy new equipment or furniture. But this is what makes the place so special.

Stay here if you want a true Italian experience. The couple that run this B & B are the definition of hospitality. I stayed here with my mother for 2 days, while visiting her hometown of Grimaldi. Our Journey to get to the B & B was not a smooth one, we missed our train, could not get a bus to take us into town and among a few other things. We called Franko & Patricia (who own Old Garden) and then drove out to the station and picked us up, they made a reservation for us at a nearby restaurant (which was the best food I have eaten) and helped us with our luggage. Our room had a beautiful view of Cosenza and was quite peaceful to sleep in. In the morning they made us Cappuccinos, served us toast with homemade jam. Franko shared with us some of his homemade prosciutto and Salami and even offered us some of his special Limoncello. They told all the places to see and when we came back from our daytrip they offered to make us dinner. I have never been treated so kindly by any other hotel, B & B or Airbnb host. These people have hearts of gold. They even dropped us off at the train station, and made sure that we got on the right train. I will forever be thankful for their kindness and generosity, I not only recommend that you stay here, I don’t think you'll have a proper calabrese experience without staying here. But I do warn you, Franko does talk a lot so your conversations might be a little one sided ;)
Nothing , everything was great

The hosts Patricia and Franco have been caring in an exceptional manner, giving us hints on trips and activities, and preparing every day an excellent breakfast including loads of local food. We felt immediately like on a family visit. Many thanks!
Franco's garden is great and really surprising for the location in the historical city center.
Google maps did not guide us to the right place, but Patricia quickly picked us up. There is actually easy availability for public parking very close to the residence.

Owners were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about their city and their lovely B&B. Charming, old fittings and furnishings. Lovely garden. Amazing and hearty breakfast. We were well looked after!
B&B is on a side lane (pedestrian, steps down from road), so a bit hard to find. Pack light if you can, as you'll have to carry bags up and down stairs.

The owners were so kind and friendly! Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of food. I didn’t feel well the second and third day of the trip. The owners brought hot tea with lemon and some pastries to the room for me. They were also so welcoming to our dog! Highly recommend!

Very helpful hosts who spoke great English. They helped me with my bike and luggage, gave me some tea and biscuits at check in and then served a very varied and filling breakfast with some savory options aswell. They also allowed me to store my bicycle safely inside the apartment.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. WiFi worked well everywhere I went. There was also a lovely garden, but due to the weather and season I didn't spend much time there. The location was quite good aswell, within walking distance of the center.

We had an amazing time at B&B old garden! We were there to sort out some documents for my husband's Italian citizenship, and the hosts Patrizia and Franco were beyond lovely and helped us with everything, we couldn't thank them enough!
The bed was very comfortable, the Breakfast made by Patrizia is outstanding with delicious handmade cakes and jams. The BeB is located near many museums, churches and is only a 15min walk up the hill from the castle and city center.
We stayed for a week and felt like we were with family. If you want to feel like you are in a real Italian home, we couldn't recommend it enough. We hope we can return in the near future!
Thank you once again for everything!

Owners were kind and nice, talking no English but we managed. Breakfast was personally served. It was good! I got huge room with kitchen inside. I asked owners for the blankets and they delivered right away. On facilities are living cats, which were very nice and happy. The owner took me and my friend to bus station and did not charge us for that.
The room smelled of mould and damp. The bathroom sink was leaking and the water was draining.

Fransesco and Patricia have been absolutely lovely and helpful, their hospitality is a treasure, and their home is exactly what you look for when you want to experience the old city. Grazie di tutti!

We've been travelling for 7 weeks and nobody has made us feel more welcome and looked after then the great couple who run this place. Even though we were only there for one night they were determined not to let language differences prevent them helping us understand the best places to go in Consenza. From the expresso on arrival to the homemade biscuit when we left, we were spoilt. Their house is beautifully decorated and the rooms have lovely old furniture and comfortable bed. We're only sad we couldn't stay longer.
If you like to stay in a fancy modern hotel this may not be for you but if you appreciate people who whose hospitality is thoughtful and personal this place is amazing.

Very friendly people who can tell you a lot about local traditions and food. Kind and warm people who are willing to offer an authentic experience.

The location is great, when you want explore the old city of Cosenza. My room has direct access to the garden, with a nice view over the valley. It was very well heated. I came in February and did not feel cold at all there. The owner (Partrizia) is also very nice, she gives you plenty of tips where you can go out for dinner.

The hosts were wonderful and very welcoming, coffee and a homemade pastry on arrival.
The room is beautiful, traditional Italian which I was looking for.
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful and arranged for a time to suit us.
Wish we could have stayed longer but were travelling again after just one night.
