About this apartment rental
This unique apartment is characterized by its modern equipment and central location. Located right in the city center and only a 5-minute walk from the city's landmark, St. Stephen's Cathedral. The holiday home is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hohe Markt and has a size of 60m². It is located on the 3rd Floor of a historic building dating back to the Middle Ages. It is suitable for 4 people and impresses with its extremely central location, through which the most beautiful sights of Vienna's old town can be reached in 5- 10 minutes on foot.

The stylish interior of the apartment offers both holidaymakers and business travelers everything to enjoy a wonderful stay in Vienna to the fullest. Since the apartment is located in a quiet side street, you will find the peace you deserve when you return from your voyage of discovery through the city. Bright, high rooms, parquet floors, a stylish interior with elements from the Viennese classic fused with modern details, gives your stay a special charm.
The apartment is equipped with a modern bathroom (shower with toilet). The equipped kitchen with electric ceramic hob (and oven), fridge with freezer, toaster, coffee machine and microwave invite you to self-catering. All other utensils such as dishes and cutlery, etc. are of course available. The living room has a TV flat screen, a media box and a comfortable fold-out sofa bed from where you can enjoy the entertainment. In the bedroom with box spring bed (180 × 200) you can relax undisturbed.
The location of the apartment
The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hohen Markt, central yet away from the tourist trails. The airport bus is right outside the door and takes you to Vienna Schwechat Airport within 15 minutes. St. Stephen's Cathedral, Judenplatz, the Hohe Markt with the famous anchor clock, the Tuchlauben, the farmer's market and many other sights are within walking distance. There are numerous cultural and historical sights in the area. In the direction of the "Danube Canal" is Schwedenplatz and the so-called Bermuda Triangle with restaurants, bars, bars and clubs of all price categories, in which the Viennese scene is also active. Supermarkets, bank, post office, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, cafes and various shops are nearby.

Great location and clean, however dishwasher did not work, quite disappointing when i reported it in plenty of time to have it fixed in the time we had here. If it is advertised to have appliances then things should be in working order, otherwise a good stay.

Impressive directions on how to check in, with pictures! Amazing location with lots of sights close enough to walk. A big bonus is the VAL2 express bus to the airport that is a 3 minute walk away. Less than 10 euros and takes less than half an hour. Lots of restaurants nearby, too, and a Spar grocery just around the corner.

Host was unresponsive and sleeping arrangements did not meet expectations. We did not receive the contactless check in on time and had to request it again from host. Wifi was not working and host was not responsive to our messages. The posting showed 2 queen beds which included a pull out couch which was not in the apartment.

Wonderful “Altbau” apartment around the corner from Hoher Markt in Vienna’s 1st District. Large master bedroom with smaller second bedroom/study, one bath and full kitchen. Historic elevator. Easy check-in and check-out. 4-5 minute walk to Stephansdom, Graben, Kohlmarkt, etc. Servus Wien!!!

The apt was generally ok, great location but not exactly as advertised. The second bed or pull out couch can only fit 1 adult, not 2. The pillows and towels were old and cheap. It isnt 2 bathrooms, one bathroom without toilet and one seperate toilet
Another big let down was there is no AC, this wasnt advertised but it needs AC during summer. They have fans but one also did not work. The wifi was also in and out and as someone who needed to work this was also frustrating.
Overall though, a good property.

Pros: Excellent location, friendly management, Gorgeous 100 year traditional, high ceiling large rooms, , beds were fairly comfortable, very reasonably priced. Cons: Rooms were bit dusty, pillows were very flat and uncomfortable (minor details). Over all, excellent value and location

The positives: great location, comfortable bed in master bedroom, reasonable price, fantastic restaurants next door, close to many amenities including the airport shuttle bus
The not so good: this apartment needs some basic repairs and repainting. Eg the cover on the hot water system and one cupboard were held on with sticky tape, the breakfast bar is held steady by an old piece of cardboard, a kitchen shelf is on an odd angle. There is an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, which we were told was due to it being an old building. We eventually found the switch to the fan, which helped with the odour. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable. Paint is peeling or is scuffed and dirty, and the apartment generally needs a bit of love.
It was difficult to get hold of the apartment manager, which started from the beginning of our booking. However, someone did attend the apartment on Christmas day to sort out the TV, which wasn't working, and provided some cleaning materials for the drain in the bathroom. This man was very pleasant and helpful. There is no information in the apartment, except what has been left there by previous guests. And the rules about the bins and check out.
There were no personal touches, and even the WiFi password had to be read from the bottom of the modem. Not a big issue in itself, but just a small indication of a lack of thoughtfulness.
Although it says it is suitable for 4 people, everyone would want to get on well for this to be comfortable. There were 3 of us.

This apartment is close to everything you would want to visit in old classical Vienna. It is clean and well equipped. One small glitch that is perhaps beyond management's control: the building cleaning lady was using the very small elevator for storing and transporting her bucket of soappy water and her mops. Made quite a mess of the elevator floor and was VERY rude about pushing us out of the elevator when we wanted to use it.
