About this villa rental
Situated on the Turquoise coast in Turkey, Uzumlu is a Traditional Turkish village offering a relaxing and peaceful environment, yet only 8 km away from the up market resort of Kalkan an elegant harbour town set in the heart of the old Lycian region. It is cosmopolitan, with wonderful restaurants and great places to stay. The Taurus Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, whilst the views across the bay are remarkable Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views .
We usually advise guests to hire cars here, but we also have a great neighbour that offers his services and will take families and friends out on trips in his large minibus . The prices are cheaper than taxis and it is a little more personal and your group is free to enjoy a drink or 2 whithout worrying about driving.
From Kalkan there are dolmus which go from the main bus station to many locations locally.

We were a large family group and this villa was brilliant. Everything about the villa was fantastic, the outside space, the views, the pool, the gardens, the facilities and the cleanliness. The only comments I would have is that the wifi is a bit patchy and you need to be aware of the location in terms of travel in to Kalkan before you go. Highly recommended.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The host stayed up very late to accommodate our late check-in and explained everything to us! We received an amazing welcome pack along with the most delicious homemade cake. The villa is highly spacious and simply beautiful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone thinking of booking this precious villa!
Thanks Deborah and Ramazan so being such amazing hosts!!

I really can’t say enough great things!
The villa was spotlessly clean, the bedrooms were all equally great and all had an en-suite and as a single person who has sometimes shared much lesser rooms this was fantastic!!
Deborah and Ramazan were lovely and really helpful and Deborah had kept in touch before and throughout our stay. Providing directions and recommendations on things to do and places to eat.
When we arrived Deborah had put a homemade sponge cake in with the welcome pack, which was delicious.
The infinity pool was awesome. The BBQ area and kosk were great.
The whole place was lovely and being able to walk out of my bedroom and into the pool is something I’ve not been able to do before.
For the last 6 years I have been holidaying in villas and this is by far the best one.
I would thoroughly recommend it and next time I am in Turkey I will be staying there.
Our group was very sad to leave and three days later I’m still sad.
So, awesome villa, fab hosts. This will make finding a villa next year very hard!!

I was really impressed by the villa. We were a family of 12 and we had a lovely time. We arrived late at night and the owners were there to meet us and they had left us an exquisite sponge cake for our arrival. The pool had lovely views of the surrounding area. The villa is spotless and well equipped. We had a lovely BBQ. The villa is on a steep hill and so we hired a mini bus to take us to lots of lovely beaches and Kalkan. Both Deborah and Ramazan were great hosts and they had lovely friendly dogs and cats. I really enjoyed such a peaceful and relaxing holiday and even managed a day of work using the wifi! Anna.

After a two-hour trip from Dalaman Airport we were met by Debbie and Ramazan at a petrol station in Kalkan who then showed us the way to Villa Cennet Bahcesi. This was a wise decision, the journey, although relatively short by car (10 minutes or so) would have been confusing in the dark and we would have no doubt been questioning ourselves as to whether we were following the directions correctly. This couldn't have been truer when we turned into the final 'road' that took us to our destination. It was a real adventure, a narrow stony track through orchards and past a few cottages and the homes of some local people. We finally drove up into the grounds of the villa, lit in the dark evening by the pool and patio lights under the fabulous starry sky. The location was brilliant, you need a car (or perhaps can make use of the local taxi service) but this was idyllic and away from the town but within easy reach and we felt to be in the heart of rural Turkey with its friendly and welcoming people. The villa itself was very grand with a huge amount of space, extremely comfortable with well-appointed rooms and kitchen. The pool was magnificent with a great view from the hillside across to the beach at Patara. We couldn’t have hoped for better hosts, Debbie and Ramazan couldn't do enough to help us and we enjoyed their company when they occasionally appeared in the evening to check how we were while watering the various fruit and veg growing in the grounds or cleaning and tidying the pool area for us in the early morning before most of us were up and about. Ramazan even made us Turkish tea on a couple of mornings sitting out by the pool to start off the day following an early morning swim, great hospitality and friendliness! One evening we requested that Debbie and Ramazan cook a meal for us, they offered various alternatives and we chose a meze and BBQ leg of lamb – it was great. We encouraged Debbie and Ramazan to sit and eat with us that evening, all eight of us guests (3 x >40yrs, 3 x >18yrs 1 x 14yrs and 1 x 5yrs) enjoyed their friendship and conversation and when it was our time to depart once our week was up were sad to leave the villa and its owners behind. We would all thoroughly recommend this villa and its owners and wouldn't hesitate to return - thanks for helping us have a great holiday and making the whole experience, from booking onwards, a breeze!

Set up in the mountains this villa is a beautiful retreat over looking rustic farmland with the coast view to the left and the Mountains running all along in front of you, it is a most stunning outlook as you step onto your balcony each morning. The Roman Lycium way runs behind the villa, so for walkers you only have to step out of the door!
The villa is very spacious ,lovely large en-suite rooms with en suite bathrooms, all decorated to a high standard with comfortable lounge areas on each of the three floors. Outside their is a large patio area with infinity pool a great barbecue area for outdoor dining and other seated areas to relax.
Our hosts Ramazan and Debbie (we chose to have most of our evening meals cooked for us) could not make us more welcome and comfortable. Serving a delicious cuisine of both Turkish and English food as well as a using the outside stove for barbecued food, we were spoilt for choice. The local area has many ancient Roman ruins including an ampitheatre
and tombs to explore. The beaches are only a few miles away and the local town of Kalkan has lots of shops, cafés and restaurants as well as a fantastic Turkish bath at a local harbour side hotel.
We had a wonderful time at villa Cennet, a great location to relax and explore from with a very high standard of accommodation.
