This property is uniquely situated in the middle of all you want in a small community. Amenities are all you need and aee exceptional. The outdoor shower came in handy coming off the beach that was just 3 minute walk from the property. Absolutely gorgeous. We look forward to our next trip. Thanks

We had 9 adults and one teen. The house was more than big enough. We even had one or two empty rooms.
Alex was amazing - responsive, helpful and full of suggestions for things to do.
The home exceeded expectations. The pool, the hammock, air conditioned, plenty of parking, walk to beach and restaurants. It was just perfect.
Our favorites to do:
Walk to beach and relax by pool.
Family dinners outside.
Bio Bay - go through Paradise Scuba in La Paguera (best deal and great folks).
Old San Juan and Castillo San Felipe Fort.
Dinner at Palo Restaurant and Breakfast at Blessings Cafe.
Book it. You’ll be glad you did!!

This is a great house for a group. There are six bedrooms, five of which have en-suite bathrooms. The sixth bedroom is off the kitchen and there is a bathroom nearby. The outdoor living spaces are great with lots of areas to relax in the sun or in the shade. There is plenty of room for dining as well and cooking and grilling were easy. The beach is close enough down a path. It is a ten minute walk to Umas, a great beachfront restaurant. I would use this house again.

Everything was good. There was definitely a lot of restuarants within walking distance of the beach or road ways. Nothing to complain about, overall a great stay.

We had such a lovely week in Jobos! Our family hosted a family reunion/gathering to introduce our college/adult-age children to my father's roots in nearby Aguadilla. What a joy to stay so close to everything and experience an authentic and laid-back area. We loved cooking in the kitchen, grilling out, snoozing in the hammocks, exploring all the beaches and towns, as well as having long fun conversations in the pool. What a joy to gather together and celebrate summer and family. Thank you for a truly unforgettable stay.

The house was unreal and even better in person! Steps to the beach and great surf. Alex was great and loved all the amenities.

This is a nice quiet spot with a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the outdoor areas most with the family.

Even if the house wasn’t as great as it was I would have given this 5 stars for Alex alone. Our family and my brother’s family always spend New Year’s together and this year we were part of the Southwest fiasco. Alex went out of his way to try to help us. I must have texted him 100 times the day we were supposed to arrive. We finally made it a few days late but I’m glad we decided to come even though the trip was much shorter than I would have liked. We loved Jobos Beach, much better than Rincon area beaches. From the house it’s a short walk to the beach and then a longer walk to Jobos. It looks like a long walk but it’s really not and the breeze is always there so not hot. Once there we rented chairs and umbrellas and surfboards and ate and drank mojitos at the beach bars. Every morning we walked to blessings cafe for breakfast. I won’t waste time in this review repeating what others have said about the house, I’ll just repeat that the tree house with hammocks was a favorite. The kids also enjoyed walking to the beach at night with their phone flashlights on to hunt ghost crabs. I saw reviews about the showers, a couple are finicky but we figured them out. The master bedroom has a tub like faucet - pull down on the metal ring around it to get shower on. The other bedroom that has a balcony (smaller than the master) the hot water works but you have to sort of move the handle all the way up until it sort of “catches” and then gently but firmly move it to the left (it should be stiff to move). And be patient the hot water takes a while. Everybody had the best time and we would definitely like to stay here again! Alex promptly responded to all my texts and had recommendations for everything! Restaurants near by were all good - Palo churasco was the best we had and we tried churasco everywhere we went!

I’ve stayed in many rental properties and this was by far one of the best. Alex is the property manager and he was quick to respond to all questions and exceedingly kind and helpful. He even made time to drive us around his gorgeous island, showing us the best beaches and restaurants and attractions. Cannot recommend enough!

The photos don't do justice for this property.
Each of the bedrooms was very roomy and were very clean. There were two "living areas" inside the house, but honestly the outside of the house is where it is at! The outside living areas were the gold star items for this listing. Large gathering table near the house, plus 3 other sitting areas, plus the pool(s) made for 13 of us to comfortably be together and apart. There are 2 indoor kitchens, plus an outdoor kitchen with a grill and sink. Two refrigerators and a deep freezer. Plenty of plates/cups, silverware, utensils.
The best part, Alex the owner. Alex answered phone calls and text messages immediately. He had recommendations for restaurants, places to go and see, and even which of the two local grocery stores are better suited for tourists.
The location of the house is fantastic if you want to be away from busy tourist areas. The beach is only a couple of hundred feet away, but not ideal for swimming, there is just too much surf to deal with. However there is a good swimming beach just up the road from the house at Jobos.
You really cannot go wrong with renting this house!

Loved hanging around the pool
The outdoor space at this house was a winner. We spent all day, nearly every day near the pool or on one of the many decks or spaces outside.

Beautiful lodging for a large group with an ocean view and tons of outdoor living space
My group loved this place. We especially loved all of the outdoor hangout space, view of the ocean, and the short walk down the path to the beach.
The place was clean and almost every bedroom has its own bathroom. It also has two indoor kitchens and outdoor cooking space. There is plenty of indoor living space as well but it sure didn't get used much. :)
There are a few minor things that could be improved to make it even better:
- Some of my friends complained that the showers in their rooms didn't work and had to use a different one. I'm not sure if that was user error or if something needs to be fixed.
- The thing that looks like a hot tub is not a hot tub. It looks like it just needs a heater hooked up to make it one. This was not a big deal since the ocean was nice and warm.
- The compressor for the AC was a bit loud in one room so a light sleeper like me might need earplugs to stay asleep in that room. Nobody else in my group mentioned that issue.
Regardless, I give it 5 stars. We had a great time and the host Maria was very communicative. Thank you!

I think the most important aspect of staying at a beautiful vacation spot is feeling at home. Alex our host went out of his way to make our stay very comfortable. If there were some issues he took care of them right away. The location is excellent for enjoying Jobos beach. And very close to Crash boat beach. The house is walking distance to the bars and restaurants on the road to Jobos. Enjoy.

Great Home Base for West Side of Island
The incredible backyard served as a wonderful start and end to each day of our week-long vacation. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning, followed by a hike down the path right to the beach. From there, we took day trips to points of interest every day, and would return to enjoy the twinkle lights around the tree house, patio, and pool.
VERY accommodating and responsive host. Fantastic experience had by the kids in our group as well as the adults!

Wonderful vacation in Jobos
This was a great house for our vacation with three families with kids from 12-20 yrs. We came here after spending several days in San Juan, and loved the laidback beach town. The outside spaces are beautiful and relaxing, and it's a quick walk to the beach. The inside is comfortable and well equipped, but we really spent most of our time outside. It's a great property for big groups. The outdoor grilling and eating areas are perfect, and there was always someone in the hammocks or pool. It's not a bad walk to the main Jobos beach area, but it was crowded on the weekend, so we spent time closer to the house, and explored other beaches in the area. We especially liked Crashboat beach, but definitely arrive early as parking did fill up. The beach near the house is beautiful but was not ideal for swimming when we were there. Alex gave us a lot of information at the beginning of our trip, restaurant recommendations and places to go, and was responsive to our questions. It's a beautiful area, and very relaxing.

The property was very nice, in great location, short walk to the ocean. Jobos beach was a 10 or 15 minute walk along the water.
Alex was very nice and attentive. There were small issues that needed to be addressed but were taken care of quickly. Overall a great time for 14 extended family members

A good time
Overall our family had a great vacation at this property. Alex, the manager/owner was extremely responsive and helpful in giving us advice in many different areas. We really liked Jobos Beach for its local atmosphere and friendly restaurants, not to mention great surfing! However, we did find the lay-out a bit confusing with two kitchens, and were never quite sure where to gather as a family of 9. Also, better bedlinens and pillows would have been appreciated by the older generation!

Wonderful location, beautiful view!
This property is in the perfect location!! You can walk to your own private beach (mainly bc no one is there most of the time) and then 10 min to the popular Jobos Beach with calmer waters, excellent food and even a boardwalk! You won’t regret renting this homes. Alex, the owner, is so sweet and helpful! He tended to everything we needed and even went out of his way to bring us to a snorkeling location near Aguadilla. This home comfortably sleeps 16 and the outdoor eating areas overlooking the ocean are like being in paradise. We loved the tree house and spent a lot of time up there too! And the pool is an awesome perk when you’re not on the beach!! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful spacious house!
We spent 3 nights at this beautiful property and had a wonderful time, overall. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and plentiful. There were 11 girls and we all had enough space and
privacy. The proximity to the beach and a few local restaurants and food trucks was close enough to walk. Alex, the property manager, was extremely helpful and responsive once we got there and gave several of us surfing lessons and had his boards.
We unfortunately had a very bad experience with a chef that I hired back in June to come to the house and cook us two meals. Chef Pedro Riveria Rosa (@organicsurferchef) came highly recommended by another property manager named William from Fajardo. I had a contect with him and sent him a significant deposit in June. To make a long story short, Pedro canceled on us Friday morning ( minutes before he was supposed to arrive at the house for lunch) and had yet to return our deposit - in spite of our contract. I hope people see this and never contact or hire this man again for anything!
Alex was very supportive and helpful during this “mess” and set us up with a caterer for Saturday’s dinner. He’s a great guy and a true professional. I’d recommend his property to anyone traveling to Puerto Rico! We really enjoyed it.

Family reunion
Had a fantastic time at an amazing house. Our party consisted of 15 people staying onsite with 5 others staying elsewhere. There were always places on property to relax and get quiet time even though we were many. The outdoor living was phenomenal!!

Beautiful, Clean and well maintained.
The property was beautiful and relaxing. It have everything we wanted and needed. I would rate our stay as a 5 star. I would recommend it to anyone that has friends and family that want to stay together. It was close to everything we needed and to the beach. The property was very clean. The owner provided excellent customer service. We had 4 couples staying there and we enjoyed the beach so close, walks on the beach, the restaurants. We all want to go back again. Thank you Alex Soto for the service and hospitality you provided to our group.

Max Relaxation
I didn't want to leave this house!! We had a group of ten ladies on a girls trip and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The beach is under five minutes to walk to and when you get to the top of the walkway, the view is BREATHTAKING!! The private beach near the home is not good for swimming but it great to walk along and collect sea shells. Jobos Beach is just a few more minutes within walking distance to swim. The owner, Alex, is AMAZING. The electricity went out a couple of times the first two days and he had it taken care of immediately. He is also very knowledgeable of the area and gives great recommendations on everything from boat tours to caterers to local restaurants. He was out of town and still answered texts asking for information. His customer service level goes above and beyond anything I've experienced before.
The house itself isn't air conditioned (but there are ceiling fans) but the bedrooms all have their own A/C unit. I thought that would be an issue as it wasn't comfortable to sit in the house to watch TV (it was extremely humid when we were there) but we the outdoor living space is so amazing and relaxing with the hammocks and lawn chairs that we all congregated outside. It was great to just dip into the pool when it got too hot!! The breeze coming off the ocean while laying in a hammock also kept us nice and cool.
The only complaint I have about the house is that we didn't get to stay longer! This is definitely the right place to be if you're looking to disconnect and rejuvenate your spirit.

Beautiful!
We had a fantastic time on our vacation! We had 13 people in our group staying at the house, 5 of them being between 3 to 9 years old. There was plenty of space. All of the kids slept in the bunk room which worked out great. The outside living areas of the house are absolutely beautiful and really made this property special. The kids had so much fun playing in the "tree house". It is a short walk to a nice sandy beach on which we never saw any other people. We were able to walk down to Jobos beach on which there were many restaurants. Alex, the owner, really went above and beyond. He helped arrange surfing lessons for us, made good restaurant recommendations, set up and coordinated a catered dinner for us one night, and even lead us on a hike to survival beach. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

Excellent
This property in Jobos is awesome! We visited for four days in March 2017 and had four adults and four kids. The setting of the house is beautiful. The views are great. The pools, gazebos, hammocks, etc. make it a great place to relax. The location is also great. We spent four days here and four at a large resort on the northeast end of the island. This place is less than half a mile from the main part of Jobos which is a great little surfing village with lots of great restaurants and bars right on the water.
The owner Alex was also great. He set up a catered dinner for the first night we arrived, set up surfing lessons with a PR surfing legend (for much less than we would have otherwise paid), and in general was around to help out, let us use surf boards, etc. He also knows almost everyone in Jobos and was able to introduce us to some locals and recommend the best things to do and places to eat.
Overall, a beautiful place and would definitely go back! Thanks, Alex!

Great space and place
We had a group of 13 stay at the house with 6 kids between 1 and 6 and adults from 36 - 72. The outdoor spaces at the house are amazing. The older kids loved going up into the "tree houses" and coming down to swim in the pool whenever they wanted. The beaches in the area (and right down the path) are really beautiful and very different from one another. Some beaches have both protected pools and great waves; others dramatic rock formations. We loved our time there and will return to the area. One member in our group found that the hot water did not make it to her shower. All others either did not see a need for hot water or found it to work fine for them.

A paradise!
Dollar for dollar this is a great deal. My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Alex's house. I stayed for 2 nights and the pictures do not do it justice. Alex was the perfect host, and happy to give us any information. We were a big group (18) the house was very comfortable, a lot of bedrooms and each one with their private bathroom and an one-minute walk to the beach. Everyone had plenty of privacy with lots of room inside and out to relax. Thank's Alex, highly recommend!!

A GREAT GREAT vacation!!
There is so much I can say about this house but I will let the rest of the reviews do it for me (Everything I read prior to my stay is true!) To put it simply... This is the house you want to stay in when visiting Isabela!!! Staying here was one of the best decisions I ever made. When I was searching initially I thought it might be too costly for only 9 of us BUT it was the best decision I EVER made... We had all the comforts of home (AND THEN SOME) The grounds were beautiful & well kept. Alex was a perfect host and was always available to answer any and all questions. The house is a SHORT distance from Aguadilla Airport (BCN) and minutes from everything you might need. We ranged in age from 2 years to 75 Years old and EVERYONE is still talking about it even a week after we returned. We hope to travel there again someday! Thank you Alex for everything!

Wonderful place to stay in Isabela!
What a great place to stay with a large group! We had a group of 12 people, ages ranging from 72 to 8 years old. There was plenty of room at the house for everyone. The outside space was resort-like, absolutely beautiful and tranquil.
Alex, the owner, was so incredibly helpful. He took us to the waterfalls in San Sebastián, which would have been difficult to find without his assistance. He was able to get us fresh mahi-mahi and lobsters and he even delivered them to the house. He gave us numerous suggestions for actives to do in the area. We wanted to go horseback riding and Alex set us up with a local company (Tropical Trail Rides). It was a lot of fun. Alex also helped us get a bioluminescent bay tour arranged. Great trip!
All of us would highly recommend Casa Playa!

Amazing Vacation
My family spent 6 nights at this house, all together there were 18 of us, and we had the greatest time. The house was just as beautiful as it is in the pictures. It was clean, well appointed, and stocked with basic neccesities. While the bedrooms upstairs had special amenities like built in bathrooms or balconies, the bedroom downstairs was the coolest and had easiest access to the gorgeous outside. Alex, the owner was really great about answering our calls and making sure the house met our expectations. One night the water company mistakenly shut off the water but Alex was quick to try and fix the problem and was apologetic about the whole situation.
The property (pools/ treehouse/ BBQ area) was so gorgeous that the kids (9 ranging in ages 3- 18) never wanted to leave the house. It is somewhat secluded so we never had to worry about making too much noise or anyone else disturbing us. Yet it was quick enough to walk or 5 minute drive to the beach bars at Jobos Beach.
This was our first time on this side of the island and we just loved it as it reflected the authentic side of PR that we all love. We visited Crashboat Beach which is beautiful but unfortunately not well taken care of. We went to this absolute gem of a beach, although a little hard to find, El Pozo de Teodoro, which is a "natural swimming pool". It is a pretty isolated beach with a gorgeous reef that causes the water to be calm and shallow. Great for the little ones. A definite must see. All within a 15- 20 minute easy drive from the house.
The beach in front of the house has gorgeous sand that stretches for miles with no one in sight. It was perfect to play beach football or just have a moment of peace. The water is rough so we didn't let the kids go in deeper than a a couple of feet. Our only other excursion was to Las Cascadas de Gozalandia (the waterfalls in San Sebastian). It was an hour long beautiful drive. Most of us are not really swimmers or risk takers so we spent the time sitting on the rocks and watching people dive into the beautiful (but very deep) water. After we had the BEST food at the restaurant located at the falls. A definite return just for their appetizer sampler plate.
Overall the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the main bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms do not have air conditioning. I would also recommend having some beach chairs/ cooler that visitors can use when going to the beach. We can't wait to go back!!

Great beach house
Highly recommend to rent this house. This property was exactly as shown in the pictures, just a little bit more cozy. Big enough for a large group of people, you can enjoy having a privacy time as well as being partying with the whole gang. The Isabela/Aguadilla area is really calm and beautiful and the view from the balconies is amazing too. The best part of the house is the patio area, you can enjoy the private beach, the relaxing pool, or just having a drink at the balconies. Definitively thinking about another trip to Casa Vela in the future.
Thank you very much to Alex for the attention, he was a very good host. And again I highly recommend to rent this property you wont regret it.
