THE AREA
I love Jackson and the surrounding areas and am more than happy to give suggestions and recommendations before you arrive or when you arrive. Please feel free to contact me anytime! I will be in the area and hope to meet fellow travelers but also respect those that simply want privacy. This is living in the mountains at it's best. One mile down our mountain is Jackson Village with charming shops and dining. Out the front door at the end of middle mountain trail road, you can pick up hiking or snowshoe trails which are part of the Tin Mine Conservation trails encompassing 17 acres of fields, 211 acres of forest, a couple of old tin mines, and four ponds to explore. Use Alltrails Ap and look for tin mine trail.
Jackson Falls is right down the mountain 1.2 miles, an easy walk down, not so much coming back up. The falls are a must see and experience. Pack a picnic and spend a weekday or weekend early evening when tourists have left. Big slabs of warm boulders, big and small swimming holes, and a beautiful view.
In Jackson you can also explore the Ellis river and the Wildcat river. There are pony rides and trail riding a short and scenic two mile drive from the house at Black Mountain which is also a great ski area filled with the nostalgia of the old days, t-bars... The Shovel Handle Pub there will have you feeling as though you have made a huge step back in time, absolutely charming.
There is so much to see and do nearby, I hardly know where to start. So, Google the Jackson NH chamber of commerce for their links and that should keep you busy! Also, click on their calendar events.
One of the best perks of being in this area is avoiding the traffic in Conway! There are so many beautiful places to go and things to do that will truly get you away from it all!
Black Mountain is the closest ski area, less than 2 miles away and a lovely drive. Attitash and Cranmore ski areas are a 20 min. Drive. Wildcat ski area is 30 min. Away. Storyland is less than 10 minutes away and avoids all traffic.

Wonderful home with plenty of bedrooms and places to relax. Property owner was very easy to reach. All sorts of outdoor activities and restaurants nearby.
Highly recommended

This Jackson home was nothing short of amazing. We vacation each year with our friends (4 kids & 4 adults) and this home was set up perfectly for our families. We will definitely be back again. The home was very clean, set-up & decorated perfectly, and felt like a home away from home for all of us. Brian (owner) was great to communicate with. We wouldn’t change a thing about our stay.

Everything was good. Only thing I change is install bigger windows to capture view better.

This is a very well-appointed home with so many nice "extras" that most rentals do not provide: spare toothbrushes, first aid, outdoor gear, toys, and an extremely well stocked pantry. We found the master bedroom mattress and pillows to be uncomfortable, and there were no spare kitchen towels, but otherwise, this was an amazing property, and the host was easy to communicate with. Everyone from two 20-year old young men to our dog had a wonderful time, and we would consider staying here again without hesitation.

This house accommodated our active family of six well. There was plenty of space for everyone and the well stocked game room provided lots of entertainment. The gear room and provided equipment were terrific. We enjoyed the views while sipping our morning coffee on the porch swing. Brian was accommodating to us when we needed to modify our reservation.
5.0
The home was gorgeous and included a full pantry and plenty of cookware for us to use. The wraparound patio was wonderful, especially enjoying the view on the swing. Children and adults enjoyed the game room, plenty of space for quiet time or having laughs. The entire property was clean and we were blown away! Definitely recommend this property and the property owner/manager

I cannot say enough good things about Brian’s beautiful home and our stay in Jackson. The home is perfectly situated on a quiet street with the deck overlooking the mountains- a perfect spot for morning coffee. It’s quiet but still close to everything. Close to the hiking trails, North Conway, fantastic shops and restaurants, anything you could want!
Brian has also thought of everything! The house has any amenity you could possibly need, including hiking backpacks, board games, things for the kiddos, and even dog treats for the pups! He was also extremely responsive and understanding in all of his communications.
I am so grateful for the wonderful weekend away that this breathtaking home in Jackson provided.

From the beginning the listing had everything stated that the house offers you. From explaining the rooms and the floor layouts to a tee. We had 8 adults stay here and not at one time at all were we on top of each other. Plenty of room and space for 8 of us. Where else can we go for this amount of room for $120 a person. The house was well stocked with anything and everything you need to enjoy and have a good getaway. Brian the host has thought of everything that a guest would need. He has gone above and beyond his needs. The view in the morning having our cups of coffee on the deck is breathless and beautiful. We arrived an hour earlier than expected and with no hesitation Brian allowed us to check in before the check in time.
Brian the only thing I would probably say to change( even though it was very tough to come up with something) would be probably stairs off the deck near the driveway as another way into the house as well as onto the grounds. Also maybe a staircase off the back of the deck to the backyard. Other than that we are already planning another stay there this time a longer one for us.

We ended a quick and zen filled getaway after the recent loss of my father. This home not only had peace and glorious views… the game room and the entire house was filled with amazing energy and comforts. Just stunning sublime space for my family and our pups. Every single thing you need on a getaway was available in the meticulous well organized home. Thank you !!

We decided to take a fast weekend trip up to the mountains to view the eclipse and enjoy a weekend away. We were so happy to have chosen this house. The layout was so open and flowing, plenty of room for the three of us and two pups to enjoy! There was a lot of snow, but I had to enjoy the view. So after shoveling off the deck we went and relaxed outside. The view was spectacular, the sun setting right between two mountain peaks! We were able to use the gas firepit and played several of the games they had for us there. We were sad to leave after only two nights, but our planning on trying to make it back for longer another time. Hopefully with more family so we can take advantage of the gorgeous kitchen!! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay here in the mountains. Debbie’s home has plenty of room and lots of amenities to entertain. The wraparound deck was amazing and provided a great view of the white mountains. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO homes and have NEVER seen one with a kitchen so wonderfully stocked- lots of pans, cookware, plates, bowls, etc, not to mention all the needed extras present in the pantry. You just felt at home and like the owner has already thought of your needs ahead of time. She even had a bundt cake for us and fresh flowers throughout the home for our arrival! Just an all around wonderful experience and hoping to stay here again!

This place had everything we needed to make our family stay fun and enjoyable! The table shuffleboard was a favorite for the older teens! The views from the deck were incredible! And it wasn’t too far away from the daily places we wanted to explore.
This was our second time staying here and we are all so glad we chose this place again.

I have stayed at several properties in the general area and loved this one the most! There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 small children. It was equipped with everything and we loved the wraparound deck with plentiful seating. The owner was very responsive and even had a bundt cake waiting for us on our arrival. It was a fantastic stay and I would do it again!

I have never seen such generous pantry provisions in a vacation rental! It was great to have the extras provided, so we could buy just the basics at the grocer. Plenty of bath towels and necessities, dinner napkins and placemats, but scarce on kitchen towels. There was plenty of room in the house and on the deck for various activities--from comfortable dining, craft projects, relaxing with a book, or playing games. I loved the table shuffle board in the lower level! My biggest disappointment, however, was that the 180-degree mountain view shown in the listing photos does not exist any time there is foliage on the trees. In the many years since the listing photos were taken, the trees have grown many feet higher so that the view was generally about 40 degrees except from one far corner of the deck. It was still a lovely view--I was just looking forward to what was depicted in the listing. The day before we left, we discovered that there are hiking trails very nearby at the Tin Mountain Conservation Center, on Tin Mountain Road.

Our stay did not start out well or as we had expected. We arrived at 3:30 (30 mins prior to check in). My family including small children, had just drove 4 hours to get to the house and Donna was not pleased at all that we were early. When I knocked and entered the house (it was open) she was extremely rude to me! I was shocked at how she treated her guests! She questioned why I was so early and when I asked if my kids could just use the bathroom, she didn’t even respond. It was pouring raining so I walked back to my car and we all waited.
On a more positive note, we had a wonderful stay and the house was very nice and well stocked. My only suggestion would be to buy covers for the outdoor furniture because it was wet and filthy.
I am not writing this review to tell people not to stay here. I am writing this to give feedback to the owner that she should treat her guests with more respect.

Comfortable house for our group of 8 including 4 kids. The house was stocked with everything you could need which was great. This included travel toothpaste! Fresh flowers were a simple but welcoming touch as well as the fresh coffee cake. Kids had plenty of games to play and were occupied the entire time. Spectacular views of the mountains.

We had a fantastic stay!! We had four kids 6 years old and under and the house had so many toys for the few rainy days we had that they never ran out of fun! Super close to Story Land as well as the quaint town of Jackson! Watching the clouds clear from the mountains in the morning was a daily joy! We had a wonderful time!

The house was amazing with plenty of space and options for activities at the house and within a short drive from the home!

Bucolic home with a stunning view of the White Mountains. Plenty of outdoor seating, and an extremely comfy bed in the master bedroom. Easy drive down to Conway and mountain trails. Lots (LOTS!) of games in the house that kept our family entertained. And a lovely cake! Our kids were really mad that our stay here was only one night, and next time we come through we’ll make the stay a lot longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! This house is exceptionally well stocked, clean, and spacious. Even though the weather was rainy and chilly during our visit, the amenities within the house kept us all entertained. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Overall impressive property. Amenities were excellent, communication with owner was responsive and location was terrific.

Everything was great from check-in to the homemade treats that were left when we got there. The house is well stocked and in a quiet area, so you can relax and easily go do things as N Conway and Story Land aren't far away.

It's a beautiful house with an even more beautiful view. The host has thought of everything as this was probably the most thoroughly stocked house I've ever rented. I also really appreciated that there wasn't a long to-do list before checking out. I still give it 5 stars but we wished the deck furniture had been put out for the season. I realize it was probably the first good weather of the spring though.

Stay was great right from arriving to a freshly baked coffee cake. The house was well stocked and clean. The game room was a hit for everyone and had many shuffleboard tournaments. The owner was very responsive if needed and would definitely recommened to anyone looking for a great house in the white mountains.

We loved our stay in this home! The house itself is beautiful and we were very pleasantly surprised to find that there was an extra bedroom on the second floor with 2 more twin beds! The picture of this room isn’t on the listing. Debbie was fantastic to communicate with throughout our stay - she was quick to respond and had some great recommendations. She has stocked the house with pretty much anything you could think of needing while away from your own home - lots of toys and games for kids, pantry items, books, etc. We spent the days skiing and spent the rest of the time relaxing in the house. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and our kids already said they want to stay there again next time we come to the area! We highly recommend this home!

We had a wonderful stay at this house! The house was well cared for and appointed, was well stocked with anything we might need and then some, had plenty of room for our two families and was convenient to everywhere we went in the area. Our kids especially loved the basement space and all the games and activities available for use. The time and care the owner took to go above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay was so appreciated. We would stay here again!

Wow! What an amazing vacation and home! We traveled to NH for our 3rd annual family trip. My husband and I have 2 boys-ages 5 and almost 7. We traveled with my brother in law, sister in law, and their two children who are exactly the same age. The 8 of us spend a LOT of time searching for the perfect house each year. We are all very particular and analyze way too much. We narrowed down our choices and took a lot of time to finally select Debbie's home. It's always hard to tell from the photos, but the reviews were great and it seemed to offer the layout that we needed. Debbie was super responsive from day 1. I had questions right away and she had answers AND suggestions. We planned this trip so that we could enjor the Polar Express and Santa's Village. The location couldn't be any better. Jackson has to be one of the best little towns I've ever seen - especially at Christmas. Upon entering the house, it was SPOTLESS! We are fanatics about cleanliness. We travel with cleaning supplies and pretty mucn our entire kitchens and pantries. Debbie had a welcome basket for us with homemade maple syrup, granola, jam and hard candies. Her dishes and glasses were never ending and the panty was stocked. We didn't help ourselves to anything, but so nice to know it was there. The rooms were awesome, especially the master and the upstairs bathroom. The BEST part was the toy/game room. We also brought toys from home, but we didn't even bring them in. The kids had SO MUCH to chose from and all they wanted to do was play. As families, we had so much fun cooking. There is a second fridge that came in handy for sure. Debbie was so kind and allowed us to check in early so that we could get settled before our Polar Express reservation. She also welcomed us check out late. We've never just been given that gift without asking. I had to call Debbie during the trip because we were having challenges with the lockbox and she answered right away. I also forgot my hair dryer there and she is going to mail it to me. I honestly can't say enough good things. I never write reviews and I just had to for this home. I was sad to leave. I've never been so comfortable while being away. We never had to adjust the heat and we didn't have to clean! Thank you Debbie for being the best! It was a joy to be in your beautiful home! It's safe to say that this is the one house we would return to thus far!

I can't say enough great things about this property or about Deborah! The house was extremely clean and well maintained. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the views just gorgeous. We had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday here. The host, Deborah, was so helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!

We were thrilled with how well set up this house was. Not just everything you need in the bathroom, but kitchen utensils, snacks, coffee. It was the best VRBO my wife and I have ever stayed in.
4.0
We were a group of 8 adults that recently stayed 4 nights at this lovely home. It was incredibly well stocked with everything that might be needed from toiletries to kitchen supplies to board games. The layout worked especially well for us with the 3 floors and having 4 bedrooms on different levels. Happy hour was spent having fun with the shuffleboard, ping pong and fooseball table in the basement game room and playing cards upstairs in the sunroom/dining room area. (❤️ The orange chair covers ). It was great to be able to enjoy the foliage and the VIEW from the deck wilst sitting at the firepit and cooking dinner on the grill . We had our own hiking gear, but it was a nice touch with the owner supplying extra backpacks and poles if needed. Location was ideal, outside of trafficky North Conway but close enough to day trip if wanted and near to lots and lots of outdoor activities and quaint Jackson Village for strolling . For the over all cost to do this or any VRBO stay, I’d like to see a few minor cosmetic things taken care of but nothing at all that warrants any less than a 4.9 review. Highly recommend and we will be back .

This was our second time staying at Deborah’s lovely property and definely not our last! The location is perfect for all the area attractions but very quiet and private.
As a family group of 8 adults we had plenty of space as several of the group had to do some remote work during the week. The Wi-Fi did not disappoint.
In addition to the fantastic views the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed as we cooked in most nights.
Fantastic property and a very nice owner!

It is a beautiful property and the deck was a wonderful place to hang out on and enjoy the scenery!
