About this apartment rental
We offer a deluxe 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom / 3 toilet apartment in Village Marina, Olhao, Eastern Algarve, next to the 5 star ‘Real Marina’ hotel (WIFI, spa and gym available). Our apartment looks out over the waterfront and marina and is only a few minutes’ walk from the old town, the famous fish/vegetable markets and the ferries out to the Islands of Armona, Culatra, and Farol, known for their miles of seemingly endless white sandy beaches. Situated only 16km east of Faro airport it is a very short drive to your holiday home. The spacious well-appointed accommodation is fitted out to an exceptionally high standard throughout, including DVD, satellite TV (English language channels), washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and central vacuming system. Enjoy lounging on the large west facing terrace while watching the sun go down over Faro. The roof-top pool area offers uninterrupted sunshine along with social and leisure spaces which enjoy amazing views of the Reserva Natural da Ria Formosa. We had a great stay in this spacious apartment. Nice balcony overlooking the sea and the salt mining area.
Two and a half bathrooms, three bedrooms and large living room, perfect for our family of five.
The town of Olhão is still quiet and very cosy.
Two remarks (which the owner can't do anything about):
- It gets really hot in the kitchen due to the fact that for some strange reason it has no blinds (all other windows have them). Best to let it air out as much as possible.
- The large parking area seems to attract a lot of youth with noisy cars in the weekend.
Would recommend for everyone looking for a good stay in the beautiful town of Olhão!

Apartment Real Marina is fantastic! Tastefully decorated; well rested; perfect WiFi; good beds and a lovely terrace. The apartment is located on the outskirts of Olhao. Supermarkets and other necessary facilities can be found a short distance away and the center of Olhao is only a 15-minute walk away. Furthermore, Olhao is centrally located for discovering the east coast of the Algarve. The communication, information and contact with the owner is smooth and responds quite immediately. The reception/contact with the local representation Mrs. Eduarda, was cordial and pleasant. All in all, we really enjoyed our two-week holiday in Olhao. Highly recommended! Alexander NL

Fabulous apartment in a great location with loads of space and everything you could possibly need. Only criticism is the lack of really sharp knives, but that is just nit-picking!

From excellent communication with the owner by email to a professional and very helpful welcome on arrival, we were so impressed. The apartment is large, immaculate, spotless, with everything you could possibly need.
The spacious balcony looks over the salt pans towards the sea and coastline towards Faro. The rooftop plunge pool is amazing for views, cleanliness and tranquility. The beds were very comfortable and linen, towels all fresh. Two bathrooms and another toilet! The kitchen is so well stocked - games, books, wifi, dvds (couldn't get the dvd player to work but weren't worried enough to sort it out). Olhao is a gem. Fabulous restaurants, very few tourists, great marina and harbour, superb fish, fruit, veg market, lovely streets to wander through with cafes and boats to the island beaches. We can't thank the owners and agent enough for such an amazing and stress free holiday accommodation. Thank you.

What a gorgeous apartment to stay in during the winter months. It has a perfect view out over the salt lakes towards the sunset from the balcony. We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year, with family staying nearby in two other apartments in the same complex. Our flat was the nicest by far, its kitchen was very well equipped and we had plenty of space to host Christmas dinner and other meals for 8 adults and a child. I was very pleased with the choice of flat. Checking in was very easy with Eduarda Barbara's help (the property agent) and the flat was spotless when we arrived. We loved the en suite master bedroom, and the second double bedroom is also a lovely room. We'll definitely return to Olhao and hope to stay here again.

Having stayed at similar apartments over the years, we knew what to expect from this apartment but were very pleased with not just the lovely place itself but also the perfect view from the large balcony. We had the Ria Formosa in front of us with its resident flamingos plus it was only a very short walk to the supermarket and to the new marina. We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Olhao.

Beautiful property. Everythung you need is there. Great location. Lovely ferry trips to the beach. Plenty of restaurants.
We arrived late in the evening, so maybe a bottle of water and a little welcome pack would have been nice.
We would definitely recommend the apartment.

Overall, we were very happy with the Olhao apartment for our 10-day stay. It was spacious and had all the amenities and kitchen tools needed for a pleasant stay. Plus, the property manager Eduarda Bárbara was very responsive and helpful whenever we called her with questions. The apartment is a short walk to grocery stores, the fish and produce markets, restaurants, and the town itself. It is also conveniently situated to all main roads which made travel within the Algarve region easy. And the sunsets every evening from the balcony were most memorable! The only minor drawback was the difficulty in finding clear instructions for some of the appliances including the television and washer/dryer since their usage was not intuitive. Although we were finally able to figure out and/or find instruction booklets, this issue was a little frustrating as finding directions was not easily accessible. Nevertheless, we would not hesitate to stay again the next time we are in Olhao and would highly recommend this apartment to others.

Comfortable stay in spacious apartment
We enjoyed the far reaching open views from the balcony, with afternoon/ evening sun.
The apartment was well equipped with comfortable beds and plentiful supply of towels.
It was really helpful to have an early check-in and later departure. We would be happy to return.

Another wonderful time in Olhao
Everything was great. Apartment was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities to make for a perfect time in Olhao. The view from the balcony was impressive overlooking the Rio Formosa. The apartment is close to the downtown and shopping.

Perfect
This is the second time we have stayed in Olhao but the first time in this apartment (although we have stayed in the block before). I would only want to stay in one of the apartments that look out to either the salt flats or the Marina so this one over looking the former was perfect. We got to see the flamingos flying in an out of the lagoon area which was amazing. The apartment has everything you would want/need and was very spacious for the 4 of us (1 couple and two singles). Loads of crockery meant you could make the most of the dishwasher. Communication with both the owners and their agents was great and they were really helpful with an early check-in. Its conveniently located at the edge of town, not far to Lidl (and their cheap and delicious pastel a Nata!) for a supermarket shop or the walk along the front to the centre of town and the restaurants. As we have been to the area before we had a much more chilled stay but enjoyed the trip to Armona on the Ferry and the drive to Fuseta which has a lovely beach. Olhao is only 20 minutes from the airport so is in a great spot for a short break but equaly well located to be able to travel along the Algarve coast. We were lucky with the weather as we had wall to wall sunshine for the whole trip and temperatures in the late 20's which for the beginning of October was unexpected. Would highly recommend

We have stayed at various apartments in Marina Village but would say this the best one, very clean and we'll equipped. Glenys and Maria did everything to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Excellent apartment
Fantastic apartment in Olhao. We have stayed many times in the Marina Village area but this was the nicest property we have rented. Well positioned and beautifully set up. These apartments are very spacious. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay great.

This is the third year running when we have stayed in the same Block of apartments facing the salt pans which are a haven for wild birds - especially flamingos.My wife and I were accompanied by another couple of old friends with who we take holidays at least twice a year. We span the age range of 75 to 82 years old and enjoy the fact that the Alhao area is flat which makes for easy walking. We always hire a car for our Portugal holidays which enables us to visit all the lovely places along the Algarve now made really easy by the A22 toll motorway. It was unanimously agreed that this apartment was easily the best of the three we have stayed in and we are very likely to come again. It is nicely furnished and the kitchen was adequate for us to prepare our evening meals. The king size bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable - but the single beds and the double bed in the other bedrooms are rather firm. Some memory foam toppers would be a great addition giving people the ability to have a firm or softer bed for those like us with old bones. The WiFi proved to be reliable and fast but the ladies had to manage for our 12 day stay without their TV soaps etc because British TV in Portugal is as rare as hen's teeth. You can see BBC World news and some USA news channels plus a lot of foreign programmes with English sub-titles. This is not a reflection on the apartment - it is general in Portugal unless you stay in 5 star hotels We used the Lidl supermarket for our daily supplies which is about three quarters of a mile away - or less that 5 minutes by car. Their bread and cakes cooked on the premises are wonderful - especially the rustic baguettes. MacDonalds addicts will find one the same distance away but we all ate healthily and didn't try it.Alhao is a lovely little town with a superb and fascinating fish market, some great restaurants, cafes and some quaint shops. The local authorities are in the middle of a major improvement to the sea front, presumably to attract more holiday makers which should be completed mid-summer.We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for a relaxing stay in a great location - made even more enjoyable if you hire a car. Their local representative, Maria, whom we have met on previous stays, goes out of her way to provide any assistance you might need and speaks perfect English.

Absolutely wonderful
We had a fabulous 2 weeks. The property was to a high standard, clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed the home from home experience especially as we have a young family. Will definitely be returning.

Couldn't have asked for anything more
A short taxi ride to the apartment from the airport, and we instantly felt at home. We chose not to hire a car, and that proved to be the perfect choice for us, with Olhão town only a 4 minute walk from the apartment. A beautiful, modern and spacious abode. The kitchen and bathrooms were not only clean and fitted with excellent 'mod' cons', but appeared to have just been installed, as did the rest of the apartment. The large front room featuring a large dining table and very comfy sofas, opens onto an equally large balcony perfect for watching the sun go down, meals and resting before heading out into town for the night.
The beds in each of the three rooms were very comfortable, and there was more than enough storage space. The black-out shutters (apartment wide) ensured a great nights' sleep too, operated by a simple switch.
The easy lift up to the roof gave access to the huge space filled with sun loungers and of course, the pool. Not a huge pool, but perfect for cooling off in and having fun. It was never busy when we were there, and it is empty as certain times.
Cooking, cleaning and washing clothes was so easy. And to top it all off, possibly the most secure apartment we have rented.
The wifi doesn't quite reach to the furthest room, but why need that? 20 odd MB is fast enough for most needs, and the TV with UK channels is great if you have had too much sun!
Definitely recommend this apartment, and we are hopeful to rent this place again.

You won’t be disappointed with this beautiful property, as a family of six we have just returned from staying at this great apartment, the photos don’t do it justice, the views from the balcony are amazing. The apartment has everything you could need, stylish but comfortable and the standard of cleanliness is second to none, the roof top pool was very clean and we often found that we had this area all to ourselves. The location is great as it is only a 5 minute walk before you start to reach all the restaurants so it’s close enough but not too close! We took the ferries over to Armona and Farol, Farol was our favourite the waters are so clear and the views are breathtaking, I don’t usually visit the same place twice but I would recommend this apartment and will probably take another trip!!!

WONDERFUL APARTMENT
Enjoyable stay in a wonderful apartment which contained everything you needed including a shopping trolley for your trips to Lidl and Continente. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and Maria was there to welcome us and show us around.

Spot on!
We stayed at this apartment during the first week in June. Having been visitors in July for the last 5 years in a nearby excellent apartment, this stay had some living up to do.We were not in any way disappointed in fact the views of the Ria Formosa and it's wildlife are much better and helped by a good pair of binoculars provided at the apartment which is testament to the attention to detail afforded by the owners. Local shops,. restaurants, bars and markets all feature heavily and excellent value particularly family owned eateries off piste...check trip advisor.
Any negatives...the lift door closes very quickly, a bit like Arkwrights till! Olhao is developing, no doubt due to its inceasing popularity yet it remains eminently preferable to areas west of Faro.

Really lovely
Great apartment, spacious and well equipped with lovely views over the Ria Formosa. We enjoyed walking the promenade and looking at the boats on the waterfront, the many cafes and restaurants and the little ferry to the islands with their lovely beaches.

Excellent property; well situated.
A well maintained, equipped property; spacious and modern. Situated by an easy walk along the promenade to many restaurants and cafes. Accessible for wheelchair users and in close proximity to water taxis to nearby islands. A most enjoyable stay, which we hope to repeat in the future.

A fabulous accomodation
The apartment is fitted to a high standard whilst not losing that homely feeling. Set in a town that has a fascinating history and an excellent base to explore the wonders of the Rio de Formosa. There is something for everyone, with exception of those seeking late night clubs and music.
