We had a lovely family stay in chalet 16, Captains Cabin, a small but very homely chalet well situated on the park with a lovely view of Clarach Bay and the adjacent hills.
Served as a lovely base for lots of walks to along the Ceredigion Coastal path to Aberystwyth, Wallog, Borth and Ynyslas, as well as a lovely beach down at Clarach Bay to spend the evenings. Some lovely opportunities to indulge my passion for photography (see images).
Site and sea front amenities were good although not my preference preferring waling and photography, though lots of folk enjoying the lovely Clarach Bay, bar, restaurant and amusements with a very jovial and family friendly atmosphere.
Our hosts were also very helpful and accommodating in the run up to the stay what with a host of rail strikes affecting our travel plans. Very helpful communications throughout.
Wifi was also included at no extra cost, with clear instructions to join the hot-spot, which was reliable and provided a decent upstream and downstream connection which was fantastic as our mobile provider didn't seem to have the best coverage for 4G data in the area. The Wifi was a God's-Send!
No complaints to make at all, Captains Cabin met all our expectations and we felt pricing was very fair. At times, we did feel a little cramped, but as a family of four, two adults, and two older daughters (16/22), we expected space to be at a premium, and planned to spend most of our days out and about. For a younger family, the children's room was more than ample. Again, lovely homely feel to the chalet and we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back

The area was pleasant and close to the sea with lovely views
The place was very tired and short of space for four.
The water heater didn’t work and provided tepid water at best.
There was no hot water at all initially but the hosts helped us start the pilot on the gas water heater but it failed to heat the water beyond tepid at best.

Good info re: directions, access, parking, facilities. Hosts are responsive and very helpful. Cabin basic but clean, comfortable and well-equipped with pans, cooking kit etc. Description of accommodation accurate and all was as I expected it.

The property was stunning, well presented and clean. There was everything you could ever need within the chalet and the decor was so fun. Really gave holiday and seaside vibes.
I couldn’t fault the property at all.
