Great place for small groups of people

The inn itself was well cleaned and the location was right across the train station so that was amazing as well, although at first it was difficult to find the entrance. The host answered our questions so communication was good too. Definitely was a good place to stay with 2-4 people.

The house needs to be deep cleaned and stocked with kitchen facilities and new futons.

The location was ideal for us (family of 5). It is very close to Tofukuji Station which is just 3 mins by train to Kyoto Station and very close to a bus stop for the parts of Kyoto with no train access. Tofukuji is a local and friendly neighbourhood.

The house was not clean, there were hairs from previous guests and dust on the tatami mats in the bedrooms. There were very few kitchen facilities (not enough cutlery or crockery for us to eat, we had to take turns in eating!). The futons were threadbare and some of them were smelly (stale/sweaty body odour).

Perfect location, it's just across from the Tofukuji station. To offer perfect service, the host set a Line group chat before our arrival. 1 bedroom for 2 people on the 1st floor, and 2 bedrooms for 3 people on the 2nd floor with a clothes drying balcony outside the small bedroom window. 東福寺駅出來是條小馬路，對面巷子即是。

Some mosquitoes. I saw an electric mosquito coil liquid on 1st floor, but it was empty.

very convenient location, spacious. highly recommended

very convenient location, literary in front of tofukuji station. very close to inari shrine, one station away from kyoto station. place is very spacious. a lot of restaurants and convenience store in the area. perfect for big groups and families. very affordable. i enjoyed old school style japanese house. highly recommended.

no tourist attraction in the area(if you want the convenience of being near tourist places), but is it a residential area so dont expect to much. still worth the stay.

A very good location, one stop from Kyoto station. Value for money, clean.

nice traditional Japanese inn

A few steps away from the train station. There are a few shops steps away from the Inn. They even provide oil, sauces, condiments for cooking! Broke a mug , but wasnt expected to pay.

Couldn't find the entrance initially. The little road leading into the inn is blocked stating for residents only. So we didnt go in. Took us sometime to find it after asking around. no wifi no tv.

Exceptional

The property was beautiful and cosy; perfect for our short stay. Right across the street from the train station, so it was amazing for commutes.

It was difficult to find at first; but that is because we followed Google maps (tip: do not do that haha). After we messaged the owners, they gave us clear directions that were easy to follow.
