About this apartment rental
Our superb 2 bedroom 2 bathroom luxury air-conditioned apartment with FREE WIFI and full UK TV package including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports and BT Sports etc is situated on the sea front just 50 metres from the beach in the family resort of Benalmadena Costa. (Please ignore the 6 mins walk notice its only 2 mins. Google error). Torreon del Mar Apartments are only 14 Kilometres or 15 minutes by taxi from Malaga Airport therefore car hire is not necessary. The sandy beach of Torrequebrada is just across the road from the Torreon del Mar Apartments, with several shops and restaurants very near by including a large Supercor supermarket with fresh fish, butchery, bakery and vegetable counters plus numerous English food items available. In addition there is a large Pharmacy with English speaking assistants just a few steps away from the apartment. There is a bus stop just 40 metres from the apartments with very regular services West to Fuengirola and Marbella and East to Torremolinos & Malaga. The facilities at Torreon del Mar Apartments in Benalmadena Costa include a large Swimming Pool, with extensive sun terrace and free sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs, table tennis, children's playground, basket ball area plus changing area with toilets and showers. Directly in front of the Torreon del Mar apartments there is a typical Spanish Tapas 'La Ruta del Iberico' bar restaurant serving a wonderful selection of serrano hams, chorizo sausage and a wide variety of Spanish cheeses with numerous beers and wines available. Next door you will find a high standard Spanish Italian restaurant 'Amici' serving Pasta, Steak and Pizza. Amigos Grill has the same owners and offers a fantastic choice of both Mexican and Indian food. The pleasant 'El Caprico de Torrequebrada' restaurant with its large terrace and serving a wide range of reasonably priced Spanish Tapas, fish and meat dishes is located on the corner of Torreon del Mar next to the Pharmacy. For those who just want a coffee, beer, English breakfast or toasted sandwich the El Caprico should hit the spot.

We arrived at the property to find it had not been cleaned and the last guests bedding and towels were piled in the hallway. No beds made and no cleaning had been done. Contacted the housekeeping contact who was very polite but said had no idea we were coming. They were away and could not arrive until the next day at lunchtime. The property owner was notified of the situation and quite frankly I have been left astounded as to his reaction. Not much of an apology, no sign of any recompense for the dreadful start to our holiday and now he is not answering my emails. Appalling host and would not recommend this property for this reason alone.
The apartment itself is nice although not very welcoming. The situation is good with lovely restaurants at the bottom of the hill. Pool looks nice but was out of action for our stay and we were not made aware of this.
All in all as a person who has rented many many holiday homes I would not use this one ever again. If you reply to my email Keith then your keys will be returned.

I booked a last minute winter break to relax and recharge after the Christmas huddle and huddle
The whole apartment was very well equipped and clean having stayed at a number of various apartments along the coast of Spain this was by far the best

The apartment is bright and sunny and has all the amenities we required. The location is close to many restaurants within a 15 minute walk; as well as a major grocery store within a 5 minute walk. Great access to local public bus transportation as the stops are about a 7 minute walk. As we are older it will take a shorter time for youthful people. Access to the beach on the Med is again about 5-7 minutes. Totally enjoyable stay. The owners were quick to respond to our inquiries.

Stayed for 5 weeks apartment was lovely on the ground floor but had to walk up a steep hill to reach it which was a struggle, pool was close which was disappointing, said apartment was serviced but no mention of the €60 charge was in a nice area had we been younger and fitter we would stay again

Apartment excellent with very convenient pool. Nearest beach not great for swimming, but not too far from a suitable one. Good bars restaurants and a supermarket, all very close by. Thanks very much to owners, Keith and Penny, hopefully we will be back

Couldn't have asked for anything better. Apartment and location just perfect. Apartment was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Pool area immaculate and no bother getting a sunbed.Great choice of restaurants close at hand. Supermarket 5 min walk from apartment. Bus service very close and cheap if you wish to go to other resorts. Communication with Keith was excellent always replied promptly.
Would definitely stay again.

Lovely homely safe secure apartment , very good amenities close by , lovely walk to restaurants, bars etc . Issue resolved very quickly regarding electric which is always assuring when abroad . Comfortable bed we slept very well , air con was very good , apartment very clean with everything you would need , everyone very friendly around the pool etc . Thank you we loved Malaga

We had a lovely stay at Torreon del Mar. The apartment was brilliant. Had everything we needed . Such a relaxing place. We went to Fuengirola and Carihuela whilst we were there. They are just a bus ride away and public transport is really cheap. Keith and Penny are really helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

Apartment has everything you need and more for a great holiday. We found the location perfect especially with the bus stops so close if you want to go further. Beaches, supermarket and restraurants all within walking distance. Would recommend.

Clean, spacious apartment. Large balcony. Difficulty with TV system (screen freezing a lot), and oven programs. The hike up to the building and hauling groceries up the stairs at the entrance is strenuous and requires strong legs. However, the apartment itself and the location are excellent. Close to restaurants, grocery store, bus stops, and beach boutiques. Overall, a good experience.

Just returned from a lovely week at Keith & Penny’s apartment. Nice, clean and spacious in a very secure complex. The pool was right outside the apartment and never any problem getting a sun lounger as many of the apartments are Spanish homes we found them very friendly.
The beach is right over the road and just goes on for miles. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance if you choose well you can get a meal and drinks at very reasonable price.
Large Supercor supermarket 5 minutes walk away too.
We went to Malaga one day on the public bus so cheap €4 for a return buses are really frequent and the nearest stop is by the Sunset Beach Hotel. Malaga well worth a visit absolutely beautiful city. We also visited Fuengirola too again a lovely city.
We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone it’s situated in a great area of Benalmádena.

The block is mainly owner occupied so spent every day enjoying the pool to ourselves. The apartment felt like home from home. Very stylish and very well equipped. The block itself is part of a complex that has several restaurants offering different cuisines and a large supermarket. Not forgetting the beaches across the road with plenty of restaurants and bars dotted along the sand. We loved it.

Just got back from a weeks stay at Keith and Pennys apartment
Myself my hubby and two children ages 14 and 11
The communication was excellent throughout
I felt the appartment was extremely safe and secure
I loved the fact i could see the kids in the pool from the apartments terrace
The pool area was always immaculate and we had the pool to ourselfs alot of the time
I also loved the fact the beach was just across the road along with the supermarket
We know the area well and we all walked to the Marina most nights it took about 20 min but is a lovely walk along the coast with lots of restaurants and shops if you didn’t want to walk a bus comes every 10 minutes and was only 1 euro 55
The taxi from the Airport was only 25 euros and took just 15 min
The wi fi was excellent in the apartment which my hubby was pleased about
The beach had lots of activities,we went on pedlos and the aqua park
We also took the bus to the local waterpark and had a great day there ,took about 20 min on the bus
I would definitely recommend this property
And would definitely stay again

We had a great time at Keith and Penny's apartment. There was plenty of room throughout the property and air con in the living room and bedrooms which was great. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped. Access to the poolside was really convenient and never over crowded, we always found it easy to get sunbeds when we wanted them. Nearby are some really good restaurants and a supermarket and these were only a minute's walk away. We didn't need a car as transport links from Malaga airport are quick and easy. We regularly took the bus into the main Benalmadena Puerto Marina area which is about a 25min walk away but bus access is across the road from the apartment building with a frequent service and really good value. Communication from Keith, the owner, was excellent and we would happily recommend.

Everything you could need. Only downside but didn't really matter was poor direct sunshine on terrace in June. But 20 steps and we were poolside. Nice pool. Unheated but hot sun soon warmed it up. But shocked at high Benalmadena prices.

On the plus side the apartment is very well equipped. Close to local bus service, supermarket and restaurants.
On the negative side the apartment is a little bit tired. The main bathroom could have been cleaner on arrival. The pool area and sun loungers are only available from May. Unfortunately the information wasn’t available prior to booking.
The owner and care takers were always available and very helpful.

We had a wonderful 7 weeks here. The area was lovely with some really good local restaurants close by. The weather was amazing for-the time of year and the apartment was situated close to where the action was. The Marina was a 30 minute walk away snd Torremolinos was a further 15 minutes. The Apartment itself has everything you would need to self cater. We lived the area and would come back.

I knew we had booked a good apartment as I took so much time looking. But honestly it was as big as a house, loads of space,3 sit out areas which were huge! Cleaniness and everything was perfect. But most of all location was fantastic,right next door to shopping mall restaurants and bars started as soon as you left complex and beach so close. Also communication with owners was excellent at all times, I love travel and have been for years and this apartment def ticked all boxes for us.

Apartment excellent, but, would not have booked knowing it was the top of a hill, as my husband and I are no longer young and ultra mobile.The photographs of the beach and restaurant gave us the impression, wrongly, that the 50metres where flatter, and it was farther.

The property was comfortable and very clean and we were able to relax in a property which had a good layout. It had everything needed to make this a very enjoyable holiday. The owner was particularly informative about the area which made it very easy to take advantage of all the amenities nearby
