The 'Story Studio' Coimbra Centro is located in the historic area of Coimbra, near the Arco de Almedina and 450 meters from Coimbra A Railway Station, within the Walled City. This location is ideal for tourism and walks through historic areas such as the Sé Velha, the Church of Santa Cruz, and the University of Coimbra.

The one-bedroom apartment guarantees a comfortable stay, offering Wi-Fi internet service and a TV with over 100 channels. Additionally, it has a balcony where you can have your breakfast and relax after visiting the city's monuments and museums.

Almedina, also called "Alta," was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2013. Our second stay here. Great location. Clean and well equipped. We didn’t cook- so no comments on kitchen but looked good. Nice deck. Good communication. Lots of steps - Portugal is not made for folks with mobility challenges.

Great location in the centre of Coimbra. Close to everything. Apt has everything you will need. Highly recommend this apt. Marcia was great to check in and ensure all was as it should be.

Over the years, we have rented many VRBO properties. Without question, this was one of, if not THE best property we have stayed in. The renovation of the apartment was high end. No corners were cut. It is very well done. We only stayed one night but we wish we would have stayed longer. Not only is the rental property a great place but we thoroughly enjoyed Coimbra. A complimentary welcome basket consisting of milk, eggs, oranges, bread, cheese, water, coffee, and other items was provided. We rented five VRBO properties while in Portugal and none of the other properties provided this. We like to dine in occasionally and this was wonderful for our breakfast. The only downside is that parking was not very convenient. We found this to be true at four of the five properties we rented. There is no parking at the unit itself. You will need to park in a public garage. The management company provided us garage options. The garage we were in was a 5-8 minute walk away.

As a solo traveler I felt very safe here even when I came in after dark .And that's a plus in my book .2 doors to get in which ads security. .very clean and spacious. 2 options on where to get off of train do yourself a favor take a cab it takes you up the hill can't take you all the way to the apartment since cars aren't allowed it's a short downward walk to room . Really to far from the train station pulling luggage and the taxie was well worth the 5 euro I spent. Then when you get to the apartment there is about 25 steps to go up and for me I would have had a hard time finding the place on my own the first time. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area. To the owners probably and extra dish towel or some paper towels would be a great addition. Owner was very helpful and responded very quickly.

Great kitchen, walking distance to University, water, shops, cafés, restaurants. Kind owner left books to read on Portugal and local touring sites. Comfortable, clean bedding and exceptional towels to indulge in deep bath after a day climbing the hills and stairs of the town. Only downside was a little active nightlife outside; but perfect if that is your scene. Great spot!

Conveniently and centrally located in Old Coimbra, we felt like we were in the middle of everything with a quiet and comfortable oasis to rest in. Close to busses and attractions we had no trouble getting around and enjoying the city. Eat at Ze Manel dos Ossos, treat yourself at Chocolateria Equador and enjoy the Fado echoing through the streets at night. Marcia is a very attentive and responsive host. Her generous spirit made our visit that much more pleasant. We recommend Story Studio and would definitely stay again.

We loved the location and loved the apartment! The alley was a little loud at night so o had to keep my bedroom windows closed. I didn’t like that since there’s no AC but other than that it was wonderful! Marcia, the hostess, was awesome!!

This is a comfortable apartment. It is spacious. There is a nice cubby style divider which is a great place to store all your cameras, hats etc. The bathroom is very nice. The kitchen is big and has enough basics to cook a simple meal. The host provided olive oil, salt, oregano, and green and herbal tea, as well as some small packets of vinegar, salt and pepper, and sugar. The appliances are new and function well. The deck space is nice; it is on the quiet back side of the apartment and overlooks other apartments and homes. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well. The host was good to deal with and prompt to answer questions. If you are reliant on a handrail for using the stairs, I would not recommend this apartment. As a previous reviewer noted, the railing is very loose and does not feel secure. We stayed on a holiday long weekend and, given how central the apartment is, there were a lot of celebrations going on and the street noise continued well into the middle of the night. Earplugs were needed to try to sleep.

This is a wonderful apartment in a beautiful location to walk just everywhere! I knocked one star off as we had a very small issue over function of the cooktop… that We had to solve ourselves. We did and were OK about it. Márcia is wonderful! She is responsive, helpful, caring and just a 5 Star host! Except for the little”speed bump” we say yea to this Coimbra apartment!!!!

The apartment is very nicely decorated, super clean and meticulously maintained. Wifi is included and works flawlessly. Kitchen has all you need, there's even a dishwasher. The location is the best in Coimbra, within walking distance of all the main attractions. Márcia is a wonderful host, super responsive to any needs you may have. We would not hesitate to go back!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It had all the mod cons for an ideal stay. As I said to Marcia we would have preferred a washing machine to a dishwasher as we generally eat out, but we really needed to clear some dirty laundry and we had to do that all by hand. I suggest you should get the view from a broader range of your guests. Just a health and safety concern of the building. The hand rail on the stairs leading to the apartment is inadequately braced/reinforced and will result in an accident in the future. Posizione ottima, metratura giusta per 2 persone, molto ben fornita ed arredata, ottime informazioni prima dell'arrivo e disponibili nell'appartamento, peccato averlo utilizzato solo per 2 giorni. Marcia è stata gentilissima nelle comunicazioni precedenti il nostro arrivo e durante il soggiorno. Raccomandiamo caldamente questa sistemazione, se torneremo a Coimbra senza dubbio torneremo qui. Un unico suggerimento: far trovare agli ospiti una bottiglia d'acqua.

We enjoyed this apartment very much - it was comfortable, quiet, and the location was excellent. Everything is in walking distance - restaurants, music venues (Fado), the river and the university. Marica is so responsive and wonderful to work with in coordinating your visit. We'd stay here again on our next visit. Coimbra is a must when visiting Portugal.

The apartment is clean and is a good place for anyone who want's to eat out all the time. Marcia is a helpful, gracious hostess quick to respond to our needs. However, we like to cook and eat-in part of the time so we were disappointed in that the kitchen was lacking in essentials. We have rented many apartments and most of them have the essentials, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and misc spices previous tenants left there. This apartment had none of that. If we wanted to cook we had to buy and cart around all those essentials.

Estive em Coimbra a trabalho e me hospedei no apartamento por 6 dias em 3 pessoas. As instalações são muito bem cuidadas e novas. Senti-me em casa. Apesar de não ter utilizado a cozinha, teria tido facilidade em realizar minhas refeições no local. A sala conta com confortável sofá cama podendo receber bem três hóspedes. Único inconveniente são os degrais para acessar o apartamento. Não vejo problema, mas sei que tem pessoas que não gostam. Próximo à universidade e a diversos pontos turísticos assim como restaurantes. Recomendo fortemente! Caso retorne, consultarei esta opção com certeza!

My two daughters and I stayed two nights in this charming apartment. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was terrific. Didn't use the kitchen but it was well equipped. Convenient location as we did not have a car. Great shops nearby. Had dinner at Ze Manel dos Ossos, quite an experience, thanks for the recommendation!
