Sandy Bottoms is ready for your summer escape. Located directly opposite the pristine waters of Korrogoro Creek in Hat Head and only mins walk to the golden sands of the beach.

Perfect for the family holiday, the adventurer or those wanting a relaxing getaway. Swimming, fishing, surfing, bushwalking or just chill. The stylish beach house has front and rear decks, perfect to put your feet up and enjoy a beer or glass of wine after a long day at the beach. There is a private pool for that extra chill factor!! The house also offers a huge 18m x 4m under cover BBQ area (with Webber Q BBQ) and entertaining/ Alfresco dining area. Lots of extras including single lock up garage, WI FI and Foxtel.. NO PETS.

Bedroom 1 -queen bed, ceiling fan, built in robe, ensuite.
Bedroom 2 -queen bed, ceiling fan, built in robe.
Bedroom 3 -single bed with single trundle , access through bedroom 2 - ceiling fan/ lofted lounge/ TV area for kids or third bedroom.

LINEN available at $25 per person per stay. Linen includes bedding and bath towels.

There are 2 canoes and 2 kids canoes available for use and with the creek only metres away, it is a wonderful way to explore the area.

THE AREA
Hat Head National Park on the mid-north coast of NSW near South West Rocks is a natural paradise. Explore the lighthouse, camp by the beach and go fishing and swimming. Hat Head National Park, near Kempsey, is a place of exceptional beauty. The beaches, sand dunes, rainforest and wetlands offer an ideal backdrop for bushwalking, camping or a quiet picnic.

There are lots of walking tracks to choose from, excellent fishing and whale watching. Birdwatchers can look for black swans and spoonbills in the park’s wetlands, hawks and eagles soaring above beach cliffs and shorebirds like curlews and plovers around the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandy Bottoms. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. It was in a great position across from the creek and we rode our bikes everywhere. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

We had a lovely stay at this property for two nights. Michael was a great host with quick responses to any questions we had. Beds were nice and comfortable and location was great. Nothing is a too far away in Hat Head and it was nice to be away from the the busier caravan park. We will try and come back in some warmer weather to really get the most out of this beautiful place! Also have to mention the wine and chocolate on arrival was a nice touch. Thank you 🙏

The house was lovely. Weather and temperature beautiful for July. The best thing for us was the creek opposite and the supplied kayaks/life jackets. As novice kayakers it was perfect to get our confidence and learn the ropes. The beach was beautiful. The store down the road priced a little more than a regular grocer but not exorbitant and had most things you could want. Great coffee. We loved our stay.

Best location, very clean, comfortable and relaxing house. Kitchen has all the utensils you need and internal laundry is handy. Always wish our stay at Sandy Bottoms could be longer.

This was our third visit to hat head and this property by far was the best place we haved stayed in. Well situated with everything you need and welcoming hosts. The house smelt amazing and was very clean with the added bonus of pool and kayaks to explore. Highly recommend Sandy Bottoms.

It’s hard to put into words how lovely this place is. The moment you walk in you are greeted with the most wonderful smells. It’s so clean and tidy. Everything you need is there. The mattresses are so comfortable, Shower is amazing, pool is amazing, great location in a nice quiet street. Can just walk across the street and take a dip in the beautiful creek. The hosts are so accommodating, easy to communicate with and just really lovely people. We were very sad to leave. Will most definitely stay here again. Cannot wait ! :)

Hat head is a great coastal getaway with vibes from years past where country meets coast. Less than an hour from Kempsey and Coffs Harbour, there is so much to do besides enjoying the serene calm of hat head itself. Sandy Bottoms was the perfect place to enjoy the trip , with everything you need to feel at home on your holiday.

A great house in a great location. Stayed the weekend with two teenagers and two adults. The house was in a great location? Walking distance to everything. River is just across the road and girls loved kayaking. Very clean and modern.

Great holiday house. Spacious and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. Nice, quiet location. Only could've been made better with access to fan or air-conditioning I'm living area. It was quite hot and humid during our stay.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay in this beautiful house. The pool was so great to cool off in even after a full beach day. Loft bedroom would benefit from an opening window as it got really hot for our daughters. We would most certainly stay again though! The hosts were wonderful even with a welcoming bottle of champagne. Thank you very much!

I've been visiting Hat Head for over 20 years and this was the loveliest place we've stayed at in that time. The location is fantastic, the house beautifully clean, with great extras (pool, kayaks, etc.) The welcome treats, with a personalised note, were a warm and friendly touch. The layout of the house was great for a family and there was a highchair and everything we needed for our toddler. We'll certainly be back, and I know family who popped over to say "hi" now have 'Sandy Bottoms' high on their list as a place to book in future too. Thank you, Michael, for being a great host!

Beautiful home across from the creek. Easy quick morning swim and a canoe in the creek and a short walk to the beach. Bowling club up the road with ice cold beer on tap and a nice atmosphere. Michael and his family live next door so very convenient if there are issues. Great stay overall

This house is just lovely, from the minute we walked in we both were just so happy. It is a fairly new build with all of the up to date features and a lot of room outside for relaxing or entertaining. I have already spoken to members of my family about going back to stay before the end of year.
