Too much to cover here, but the property was filthy including the pool, grill and patio, a cooler with mold and the entire house smelled of old fish from the refrigerator.
The customer service was condescending and inconsistent. We are requesting a refund.

Our family of 21 had an excellent time. The house was as we expected. The views of the ocean were beautiful! Even dolphins right at our dock.

My family and I thought the location and the house were great, however after the first night my teenage son came to me and said there were bugs in his bed and room. To my surprise the bed was covered in what looked like termites that had shed their wings all over the bedding. When I pulled the bed away from the wall I found even more in the corners and baseboard, some were even flying. I called immediately and while I did get a quick response. I was asked to take care of it by sprinkling some powder she gave me around the room. I had to sweep up all of the bugs, launder the sheets, clean the floor with a multiple purpose spray, then some bleach. Finally I put the powder down and it did manage to keep them away. I do feel like it should have been taken care FOR us but it was made to be my responsibility. Three days later we had some rain and then water started to leak from the ceiling at the top of the stairs just outside of the master bedroom. We had to put out several buckets to catch the water so it would not get on the floor and cause a slipping hazard. Again I called and did get a response, and again I was asked if anyone in the house could go up in the attic and take a look at it. When I did not respond via text, she finally called and said she would send someone over. We did have a great time and loved the area, however I do think things could have been handled a bit more professionally and maybe they could have offered to reimburse us a little because of this.

We had a wonderful time!!

A group of 21 of us, including 11 children all stayed here and loved it! It was the perfect set up for us with the pool and hot tub. Being right on the water kept people fishing and kayaking if they wanted more than lounging by the pool.
Deedee was very responsive to us and immediately taking care of the few very minor issues we had. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is a little older, but beautiful. We went with our family and we all enjoyed it.

First we loved our house and stay! A couple issues that we had
Air conditioner in one room didn't work. Only the fan was working. The hostess never replied back to us on it.
We could not use the beach. It had a lot of seaweed. It did smell occasionally. We just went to various state parks for the beach instead. We just swan in the pool.
We did see a cockroach on our last day.
The lanai and pool were wonderful. The sunsets were amazing.
The house had plenty of space for two families and grandma and grandpa.
The location was great to enjoy Tampa but away from busy areas.
The kids loved the lizards out around the pool.
The house was equipped with all of the necessities and so much more.
We really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again even with the issues.

The size of the house was perfect for our family. Plenty of cooking equipment and towels. It was nice having bikes and kayaks. The pool was fun for the kids. The pool did have a problem but it was fixed the next day. The one downside is we could not swim in the Gulf due to the seaweed problem.

Our 50th anniversary could not have been better. The house held 20 of us. It’s a spacious house. None of us felt cramped. The house had everything we needed. The grandkids had a great time in the pool. I liked the hot tub! The sunsets were fantastic. We stayed a week and we would do it again. Everyone loved our stay here.

The property had beautiful views. House was a little dated. The pool had debris in it, there were trees around which is understandable. The grille was dirty, pots, and pans, were dirty. So i did do some cleaning. Overall decent place.

This home was wonderful for our friends and family. Great location on the water, lots of items to use in the kitchen and outside. Dee Dee was easy to communicate with. Lots of room- If you have children this would be a great place for them. Thanks for a great place to stay!

We loved our month in this home. Different family members visited us every week. The home is clean and magnificent, and Dee Dee is absolutely wonderful. I grew up in Florida, but I have to admit, these sunsets are magnificent. We loved the outdoor space and the gulf front views. And the restaurants nearby are great.

Perfect property…unfortunate weather. We were just 48 hours into our long planned family vacation when Hurricane Ian, Pinellas County, and the homeowner, DeeDee, decided we had to go home. We left the house clean, helped with sandbags, cleaned, tidied and left her home as she asked and were out. It’s been almost 7 months since the hurricane. We were in touch in January and she was having health issues. We were understanding and gave her until March to recover. Now…it’s April and she will not respond to texts, emails or calls. Guess we’ll have to go the legal route although we tried multiple times to avoid this. Guess you shouldn’t book during hurricane season.

Very clean and well-appointed. The pool and hot tub were big hits with the grandkids. Plenty of space to dine at a large table near the kitchen. Kitchen was spacious with plenty of countertop space and a stand alone butcher block for additional food prep. The property was VERY quiet and pleasant.

Was a perfect house for accommodating our family. Was especially nice to be on the water and have a heated pool. The "extras" that were provided were a blessing and appreciated. We will keep this one in mind when we visit again!

The location of the property was great! Nice pool, hot tub and water view.
The loft bedroom was a concern. Ladder up to loft was not the sturdiest. Also one of the bathrooms had a drop-off that made it quirky . We did enjoy the property.

What an amazing week. The house is set up beautifully to accommodate a large group. Plenty of nooks to find space to spread out. Great dining space when we came together for meals. Plenty of outdoor seating. Gorgeous location.

Our family enjoyed the property. Cold weather caused us to stay inside much of the time. DeeDee was good to work with. Very pleasant. Needs updating though. Brand new barbecue grill was a plus for us. Fireplace and fire pit were a plus with the cold weather.

I spend vacation with my family here, we had great time, really enjoy the stay. The home is plenty of space and room, the view is stunning. The host is responsive to messages. All info is provided at the property. Multi game, tools, toys are handy for my kid to enjoy their time here. We will definitely book this vacation home again when coming to Clearwater.

We loved our stay, house was very large and accommodating for 2 families. Location on the water provided early morning coffee views with the birds, easy kayak access, and fishing. The pool felt like an infinity pool as you enjoy the bay views and even a few dolphins swimming by!
Close to so many great restaurants and beaches. Our kids used the bikes for daily ice cream runs.
We loved being so close to Honeymoon Island, Dunedin for great good & breweries, Tarpon Springs for Dolphin tours and great food, and only 45 minutes from kayaking with the manatees.
DeeDee was wonderful to communicate with and made everything so easy!
And lastly, access to beach towels, kayaks, fishing rods, and coolers was very appreciated!

Wonderful family vacation home
My husband and I rented this home for our family vacation. There were 20 people of all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and all the amenities. It was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The pool and hot tub was absolutely wonderful and enjoyed by all. We grilled out and especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets viewed from the patio. The dock was great and our grandkids loved fishing from it. We were thrilled to see dolphins swim by several times. It is within a nice driving distance to attractions and restaurants. Our host, DeeDee was very nice and accommodating before and during our stay. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this home.

Outstanding Beachfront Property
We received absolutely stellar communication from DeeDee, the owner, regarding her property. Her manager, Eleanor, also gave us spot on check in info. This 6 bedroom property offers all a group could want or need. DeeDee has included niceties unseen at most VRBO properties, like not 1 but 2 waffle irons, Keurig and drip coffee pots, blender, and a pantry stocked with most kitchen basics. The main floor has 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds. 1 Queen bedroom, and a 4th bedroom with 4 bunks for kids, and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom with 2 queens is upstairs and has a luxurious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and large walk-in closet. There is an additional Q bedroom up a steep loft ladder stairway suitable for older children or teens to climb. These sleeping quarters could host a large group comfortably. The beach front area behind the private in-ground pool and hot tub has multiple sitting areas, both shaded and in the sun with lovely tropical plants. The deck has a sitting area to watch for a multitude of local Gulf habitants. We watched Blue Herons, Egrets, Shark, iguana, and geckos. Keep an eye out for “Big Blue” the Blue Heron who makes the rounds of the neighboring properties. Honeymoon Island is visible across the water and sunsets are incredible. The owner had a BBQ cleaned and ready for use, kayaks, and several bikes clean and aired ready for use. There is a nice Publix Market nearby and we ate twice at a local marina restaurant that had delicious seafood. Also Emily’s Restaurant on the corner had a large breakfast menu. If we have one complaint from our stay … it would have to be that he were only there for 6 days. My sisters and our hubbies enjoyed a perfectly delightful stay at Palm Harbor.

Nice Location, Beautiful Sunsets
The outside area is lovely and has some nice seating. The hot tub worked, but the pool heater did not.
You should be aware that not all of the bedrooms have a closet. The master bedroom is beautiful. However, there is one bedroom that was an add-on to the house and has a step-down into the bedroom and a bi-level bathroom.
TV remote in the living room didn't work, but my brother cleaned out the rust and put in new batteries and got it working.
There is one bedroom that is upstairs and you get to it by climbing a type of ladder - that bedroom has just a box spring and mattress on the floor. It would probably be o.k. for kids.
There was lots of equipment in the kitchen and a full supply of spices.
We tried to use the bicyles, but one had a flat tire and the other a broken seat.
I wasn't perfect, but being with family was still fun.

Nice Location Poor Communication and Management
We usually would not post a negative review however we want others to understand our experience so it may help them in their decision process. We stayed with our family of 11. The location and the layout of the house worked well for us. We did have some trouble with communication with the home owner and who she called her caretaker which is actually her mother. First the entire refrigerator door was full of other peoples stuff. Half drank wine bottles, half drank Bloody Mary mix, and a bunch of different sauces and condiments that were all open. We ended up having to clean the frig out so our stuff could fit. The owner Dee Dee was out of town so she directed all of her communication to her “caretaker” her mother. The mother didn’t know about things like recycling or how to make one of the dishwashers work. She seemed like a very nice lady, just not a good property manager. The landscaping and some other items needed updating and manicuring. The grill was not usable so we ended up having to cook our hot dogs and hamburgers inside. Finally, we lost a kayak that was old and probably worth less than $200. We contacted the owner who didn’t want to deal with it while out of town and the “Caretaker” who didn’t know what to do. We wanted to replace it and we found a much nicer, two seater, 500 LB capacity Kayak with two paddles for $500. After we left we finally heard from DeeDee and she charged us $1,000 for the lost kayak against our authorization. We are now having to deal with our credit card company regarding the unauthorized charge. Her communication was very unprofessional and accusatory. There are a lot of really nice houses in the neighborhood that you can rent. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

nice place - needs a little work
Great location and a beautiful view. Plenty of rooms, easy access to stores, and utensils and stuff you need in a home were provided. However bikes were in a state of disrepair(rusted and brakes don't work), empty propane tank for grill, bitten by bed bugs in beds.

Golf weekend
Beautiful home and great location. The back yard with pool and hot tub, with gorgeous views of the gulf, is spectacular. Also lots of birds and fish can be seen right off the dock. Definitely would recommend.

91st Birthday Family Reunion
The Yellow House was an amazing "old Florida" property with upgrades and all the amenities. Having grown up in Crystal Beach, this house was perfect for our family gathering to celebrate our dad's 91st birthday. Being on the water afforded us beautiful sunsets each day. Sitting in the pool or under the banana leaf fans on the outside porch provided our group much needed relaxation.
The Yellow House is equipped with sea kayaks and bicycles, a hot tub, pool and fire pit. We made good use of all. The kitchen is fully equipped as we made dinners every day for 9 people. The most fun night was when the power went out all over Crystal Beach just as we sat down to dinner. We located the battery operated candles and the homeowner called right away to confirm that we were okay and provide information to locate flashlights and lanterns. We all sat around the spacious living room and our Dad regaled us with stories of his youth. The soft candle/lantern glow afforded us the opportunity to ask questions and allowed him the freedom to freely express his memories.
We had a magical, nostalgic stay at The Yellow House retracing our steps as children to the park, the beach, the dock and our old family home. Crystal Beach was a special place to grow up and continues to be a safe quiet retreat for all who live there or visit.
