Very enjoyable and will return again to visit our new made friends at Solar Dos Poetas

Beautiful view over the Luis Camoes Square and the buzz of the city with friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and clean modern toilet/shower room Excellent sound insulation when windows are closed. Good choice of transport links in the square. A wide choice of breakfast amply replenished and accompanied by a pianist in a side room.

We would have liked a safe for valuables. Improvements are planned to the uncharacteristically ordinary and functional entrance lobby

Wonderful stay

Excellent location. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was amazing with a large selection of fresh food and a beautiful pianist. Staff were very professional and attentive.

We were not aware we could access free water, tea and coffee. The bar closed too early.

My stay at Solar dos Poetas exceeded expectations, will definitely prefer to stay here again!

Superb location. Clean and elegant room. Fantastic bathroom. Nutritious breakfast with good variety. The entire property is traditional and modern at the same time. Feels like one has travelled to a beautiful hotel in the 1940s !

perfect - staff couldn't have been more helpful, location was perfect and breakfast was divine

breakfast was amazing. The rooms/bathrooms were small but I liked the feel of that, it seemed more homely and less commercialised. The location was perfect and staff couldn't have been nicer

La ubicación es inmejorable, fácil comunicación con varios puntos de interés. El personal fue súper atento y las instalaciones muy cuidadas. Hay detalles de cortesía que te hacen sentir como en casa. Desayuno completo y la sorpresa de que había un pianista ambientándolo fue genial. La temática de escritores y poetas hace que te sumerjas en Lisboa desde el minuto uno.

Estuve solo una noche. No pude percibir puntos de mejora.

Great for a short stay - highly recommended , amazing location , staff and stay

The location was great, close to everything and the area itself was very lively. The staff were amazing during my stay, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of variety and even a separate area for dessert style pastries and cakes. There was a piano player during breakfast which was lovely too. The room and all areas were very clean and nicely furnished and decorated. The views of the square is great and the double glazing keeps the outside noise out.

The room was quite small, but I imagine that is quite normal for that area

On m’a demandé ma carte de crédit et le réceptionniste a copié les donnés recto verso dans son ordinateur, il n’avait pas de lecteur de cartes. Mon hôtel avait déjà été payé ! Je doute réellement de la sécurité de cet acte .

Un hotel encantador con detalles de diseño exquisitos, excelente atención y ubicacion

La atención del personal, hubo una confusión respecto a la habitación que habíamos reservado y sin dudarlo hicieron lo posible por corregirlo haciéndonos un upgrade a una habitación superior a la que habíamos contratado. La buena calidad de las ventanas, Yaque el constante ruido de la plaza de Zamora y los grupos de gente que grita toda la noche x esas calles no se escuchan para nada con las ventanas cerradas. El perfume a lavanda de los productos de higiene!

Si bien el tener a alguien tocando el piano en vivo es un detalle muy lindo, los ambientes de este hotel son pequeños, y el sonido del piano mientras desayunábamos era demasiado fuerte y molestaba.

Very cute hotel in prime location.

The hotel is a cute boutique hotel located in a prime area for getting around. The location itself is amazing and easy to get to many tourist locations. I felt really safe as a solo traveler. The hotel staff were nice. I especially appreciated, the woman at the front desk who checked me in (wish I could remember her name but know that she also works for their other prestigious hotel Palacio). The bartender was also friendly and a good time. The room is nice but small. It works for solo travelers. I had to be creative in where I placed my luggage. The balcony was cute and faced one of the many squares in Lisbon. It's very active out there but manageable. They did serve breakfast daily, which I managed to get on my last day. It was tasty. Th piano man was a great little touch of class. I would stay again.

As previously stated, the room was a bit small but manageable. The sink was a bit low, so be careful when brushing your teeth. Overall, it wasn't a big deal, just something to note.

We wouldn’t stay here again, the rooms were too small, but the breakfast was awesome.

We requested a larger room than the one that was booked for us and the staff changed our room to a larger one for 2 days, then a smaller one for our final 2 days. The reception staff were brilliant, and very helpful with advice for what do do and what to see.

The rooms were less than impressive. The bigger room had an ensuite which was very badly designed with a tiny shower, no shelves for your toiletries and nowhere to hang your towels. The smaller room was better in that the bathroom had a good sized shower but the toilet was too close to the sink, and again, nowhere to keep toiletries. I think there are too many rooms squeezed into the available space, so that none of the rooms are really comfortable. Maybe ok for a one-night stay but that is all.

Świetna lokalizacja. Bardzo blisko metro, tramwaj, restauracje, bary. Część głównych atrakcji turystycznych w niedalekiej odległości od hotelu. Śniadania smaczne i urozmaicone

Nasz pokój , mimo, że czysty, okazał się ciemnym pomieszczeniem, z małym oknem, bez możliwości otwarcia bo za oknem znajdował się rodzaj szybu wentylacynego skąd był hałas i paskudny zapach stojącego powietrza. Zabrakło informacji przy rezerwacji o wyglądzie pokoju

Fantastic, would book this without hesitation.

The building interior is gorgeous, the room was very spacious, clean and modern. Fantastic bed and shower. Location couldn't be beaten.

Nothing other than the elevator being very small but nothing to complain about.

I would love to repeat the experience.

Room 4 on the 3rd floor. Simple but elegant. Breakfasts were a pleasure. I made a point of getting down as you opened, to enjoy the peace of the lovely room before it filled up. All very good.

A small wish list if ever one could top perfection . . . . a room safe for valuables, and pillows that we slightly more comfortable.

Noise from buskers and drunken people.😢

Good location. Very nice and clean. Excellent staff.

Noise from outside- even through excellent glazing. During the day the buskers in the square had really loud amplifiers. At night screaming drunks from the pubs who were serving cheap booze. It’s a shame as the city is fabulous but being spoiled by noise 🥵

Great location and value for money

Great location, beautiful old building, simple room but very clean and with air conditioning. Breakfast in a nice setting with live piano music every morning!

Couldn’t keep the window open because of the inner court noises. The two-bed rooms are oriented towards the inner court so no view, but the room is very quiet with the window shut.

Breakfast out of a fairytale book, perfect location, with a castle-feel!

It was the hotel out of a dream! It was our first stay in Europe and they exceeded our expectations. The location was right in the middle of a beautiful square that our room looked out to. It was maybe 600 feet away from the metro as well but you could easily walk from the location. The hotel itself was so beautiful and had so much character. Our room made us feel like we were staying in a castle with the beautiful yellow and blue. The best part of our stay was by far the breakfast atmosphere. There was a live pianist, the breakfast room had beautiful windows that natural light poured in, and they served every breakfast item you can imagine on incredible display. The memories of eating breakfast there will forever be some of the best memories on my trip. Can't recommend enough!!

Fab stay at lovely central hotel.

Comfy beds, attentiveness of staff, lovely plentiful and wide selection of breakfast and lovely ambience with the piano player each morning, cleanliness of rooms and excellent location. Fresh tea and coffee available whenever we wanted at reception. Free shuttle service from airport to hotel provided by booking,com.

Our Room with window facing the aircon units with little natural light in the room. Other rooms were available however with nicer views. Breakfasts could start a little earlier say 7.30 am instead of 8 am ito allow those people to have a decent breakfast before taking excursions which usually start at 8.15am, although a breakfast bag was offered., and provided.
