La ubicación
No Tenía internet, al momento de llegada fue tedioso que me recibieran por que mi reserva no estaba en espera

todo muy bien , nos sentimos cómodos.
solo que hay un local por las noches con musica en vivo y algo aturdidor.

Big rooms, very clean.
Pool could be cleaner, no ventilation in the bathroom so very damp, breakfast was just a little snack.

Nice coffee break / breakfast area included !
Friendly staff !
A little to bit too expensive
5.0 / 10.0
Location was close to the town square and the lagoon.
The beds were comfortable.
The air-conditioning in room was excellent.
Price made the 'didn't likes' ok, but a bad shower was disappointing.
The shower was terrible, a trickle of water. The staff spoke no Engliah at all, which is fine but just hard to communicate with.
The music next door is very loud, at least it is a band and salsa music, bring earplugs, music until 2am every night.
Internet wasn't very good in the rooms.
No help with tours etc.
TV didn't work, didn't really matter for us.

Great place to stay, super clean, friendly staff

Very friendly staff, spacious room, clean, nice pool area to rest. We loved the location, but it's not for everyone - on the weekends you can hear loud music from salsa club. Small breakfast (yoghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, cookies) was included.
Everything was perfect. One small con was lack of microwave in the room which was showed on the pictures but you can easily access it in common space.

The room was big enough for 3 people and the location was very central. They provide nice pool towels. Car park in front of the room. The staff was nice.
We did not like the noise of the night club down the road . Fortunately they stop around midnight . We were there in a Thursday and Friday nights.
We also did not like the bathroom : the shower hard was leaking so water splashed everywhere and also the Toilet basin was leaking from underneath.
The breakfast consists on one apple, paquet of biscuits, and coffee powder.
No water jar or glasses to fill in water from the tap and store it in the fridge.

Short walk to town
Noise from music bar in evening

Friendly and informative staff, really comfy bed, great little pool area and well located in town! Loved how spacious the room was. The location felt safe and everything was walkable in town. The internet worked fine for working.
The room has a lot of light in the morning so if someone is a light sleeper, it might wake them up.

Bad smell from kanalization in bathroom and from outside
6.0 / 10.0
The location is close to the lagoon and also next to all the loud clubs and high-end restaurants.
Good for party goers and heavy sleepers.
The room was big, comfy beds, good cable tv with some english channels. Kitchen had a fridge, few plates and cups but no cutlery (in whole hotel). Shower had good pressure but not always warm. Pool was clean, sometimes. Only evening receptionist was nice and a bit helpful.
La Catrina bar is next door and they are such nice people, can help you with everything! :)
Long story short, I injured my sciatic nerve and couldn't walk for 1 week. Which is the length of time I stayed there since I was traveling alone and had no other choice. No one in the hotel wanted to help me arrange medication, food, nothing. Luckily La Catrina staff helped me out (thanks Nano! :). The room wasn't cleaned for 5 days until I complained. You don't get bottled water like other hotels so bring your own. The breakfast room has only bananas and biscuits, tea and bitter old Nescafe. There was a cooked cockroach inside the big hot water kettle we all used... Don't pay by card at the hotel to extend your stay because they'll charge you 300 pesos instead of 30 pesos doing it online. The doorknob in my room broke apart and was changed the next day. Maintenance guy was banging in front of my room from 9am until 11pm. The list is looong my friends... It's more of a self service hostel than a hotel.

overall ambiance is wonderful and charming. i loved the details of the interior design and artistic touch of the hacienda. there is parking inside the property, your feel safe and comfortable.
I wanted to stay another night, but the live music from the nearby bar kept me awake until 2am.

location, employees were kind, room was spacious
Unbearably loud music/parties went on until 3am and we couldn’t sleep at all(maybe it was even more loud because it was christmas holiday season but still… ) for three consecutive days.

big room, clean and a good shower. Perfect location everything close by and a nice terrace with swimming pool.
very noisy
6.0 / 10.0
Staff were very friendly, the room was clean, view of lake from balcony, concierge at frontdesk/gate throughout the night
- Wifi did not work from room and even in lobby was inconsistent, staff were very apologetic but ultimately already aware of the problem
- room was equipped with oven, but it did not work and so we were not able to cook, which would have been the benefit of a room with a kitchen
- the hotel is behind a bar with live music running until 2am, so it is very difficult to fall asleep before this time
- the main entrance to the room has no lock and can only be locked from the outside with a padlock once you have left the room

Location is close to good restaurants, the fort/museum and the lake as well as laundry services.
The nightclub just downhill from the hacienda is loud. The best option is to simply join in the fun but if sleeping is on your agenda it will take place after closing time.

Great location, very big rooms & coffe break spot. Everything clean and cozy.
Loud music from bar nearby, until 2,3 in the morning.

Nice view on the lake. Nice big lockers.
Low on ambience. Not allowed to use the pool if you stay in the hostal part. No heart to the hostal, making it difficult to meet other travellers

Very good location
It’s behind a bar so the music it’s a little bit loud in the night but not big deal still okay

close to the lagoon
They promised a pool, but it was closed for renovations. Not only that we didn't get the pool but instead we got noise from the renovations! Needless to say that they didn't offer any compensation!
and the noise from the nearby bar is so LOUD, it's as if you are inside the bar!

Beds are comfortable. Location is good. You get a towel. Four nice bathrooms. Everything is clean. Drinking water is in the fridge.
Dorm is not really separated from the common area. Fan is too loud and too strong. English from the stuff is limited. Wifi is weak. Only a small balcony to hang around outside. Kitchen is not well equipped. There is a bar near to the hostel with loud music till 1 am. No hostel feeling. But nice if you stay with some good people.
