The location was great. So many places to eat and shop. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly.

It was close to the hospital for surgery
The room was dirty the sofa bed was visibly soiled with yellow stains and there was waste material all over it. I called the desk and asked for a new mattress topper and linens and I was informed I would have to bring the dirty mattress downstairs to get new linens . This was not acceptable!!

The comfort of the room.
Every Home2Suites my wife and I have stayed at, all of them offer Coffee and Tea for 24 hours.
Indianapolis Home2Suites does not offer coffee or tea 24 hours. My wife and I are both retired. My wife from the NYC Board Of Education, and myself from the NYPD, we love our coffee. Coffee and Tea is only offered at breakfast time from 6am to 10am. Also, cranberry juice, orange juice, or any other juice offered during breakfast, is not available until 7am. So like my wife and I who were up to have breakfast at 6am so we can get back on the road to head back home to Henderson, NV after visiting our son in NY. We would have to wait until 7am to have cranberry juice. We stopped at a Love’s gas station and got cranberry juice.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice. I have no complaints about the facilities at all.
The staff member that checked me in whom I found out later is the manager was extremely rude and seemed as if he had no idea what he was doing. This caused my check in process to be longer than it should have been. My total for the transaction (including $40 incidental) was $202 I ran my card it was approved. The manager said the transaction didn’t go through. I know that I saw approved on the pinpad so I told him that I would check my bank account to make sure payment went through before allowing him to charge my card again. After checking my bank account the transaction for $202 was definitely approved. The manager insisted that he would need to charge my account again for the $40 incidental fee which would fall off anyway at check out. I agreed the payment went through no issues. I received my keys and went on with my day. A few hours later I received a notification from my bank that my account had been charged an additional $169. Once I got back to the hotel the same manager was still there at the front desk. I asked him about the additional $169 charge, he immediately started to yell and state that he has nothing else to say to me. Instead of escalating the situation I just went to my room. It was an extremely frustrating encounter and put me in a bad mood the rest of the night. The way that man spoke to me was extremely disrespectful and definitely was not called for I was merely trying to understand what was going on. It was evident he was not equipped with the skills to properly explain it to me or he didn’t understand himself so he immediately resulted to being loud and belligerent, he did this in front of my child as well.

Spacious modern room, working infrastructure, good breakfast, good location, and free on-site parking.
Despite repeated requests addressed to the hotel staff through the reception (even several times a day) for the entire stay, no one came to clean the room, change towels, replenish amenities, or remove the garbage. The pool and fitness room were only open during the day when we were at work and closed after hours, so they were practically unusable.

The hotel was very nice. Very clean. The pool was nice, the breakfast was great with a large variety to choose from. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious.
We had a huge issue at check in. They couldn't find my reservation. Told me that I'd have to work it out with booking.com. I spent over an hour on the phone with booking.com and had to talk to 3 different people, all to find out that the hotel did in fact have my reservation, they just had my name reversed on the list so they couldn't find me. I feel like if they had maybe put a little more effort into looking for me, it would have saved me a ton of time and stress. Between the front desk and booking.com, I spent over 2 hours in the lobby of the hotel, trying to figure out why no one had my reservation. Once it was figured out, they were very nice and accommodating.

Broken tile on floor in room, old bed uncomfortable hurt my back, room wasn’t very clean, only scheduled maid service, no free Wi-Fi for all guests, additional hold placed on card when paid for room in full, breakfast was lacking in variety and not fully stocked each morning, fridge in room wasn’t working right and wasn’t keeping food/drinks cold.

This new Home 2 Suites by Hilton hotel formula is a winner, the rooms are spacious, well equipped, the architecture is pleasant, the breakfast is a notch above the competition. All is well.
Quite frankly there is nothing to reproach to the hotel at this facility.

They charged us $300+ per room!!!!!!! After getting to Indiana, we looked for hotels, and the same rooms were wayyyyyy cheaper! What is this??? Charge people from out of state more????? Unbelievable!!!!

The location
The room that I booked I did not receive. I got a call the day off while driving to the hotel. They said they had to change my room. It would be the same layout then after questioning it, they informed me that the layout that I reserved 2 months ago was not available. I would get a single room with a bathtub instead of a shower. Room I got didn’t have a tub very small shower. They said they had to change my room. It would be the same layout then they informed me that the layout that I selected was not available and I would not receive the extra king bedroom sweet with bedroom as requested booked and paid for in advance and I would just a king bed in a single room. I got the smallest room on the floor. It was smaller than the rest of the floor layout on the emergency exit sheet. No king bedroom. Dried Blood on both my child’s bed sheets and ours. As the hotel worker is calling me scrambling to change my room to accommodate a handicap shower. Saying I have no other options and no refund available no cancellation. Someone overbooked and they are blaming booking.com. Also very noisy hotel. Paper thin walls and floors. Unhappy and did not get what I reserved. I was told I should not go through booking.com and that it was your mistake. also, never got a bathtub like they said. Cheerios under the couch when I pulled out the couch. Salty chemicals in the pool irritated everyone. I will go elsewhere next time.

The staff was was so friendly and wonderful from the time we walked in the door, everytime we walked thru, all the way thru checkout. The place smelled amazing as soon as we walked in and was so clean and tidy and trendy. The indoor pool in a heated setting was perfect for a snowy winter day for the kids. Love the setup of the rooms having a separated bedroom space from the living space.
I booked my reservation five months in advance for our daughters dance competition. I had originally booked for the entire weekend to secure us a place to stay before everything booked up. We booked a double queen bed with a foldout couch. We have four children and specifically chose this hotel and room bc we were able to all sleep in one room together as a family. Once we received the dance schedule closer to competition time (about two weeks prior to our stay), I called and dropped the Friday night from the reservation as we would only need to stay overnight Saturday. Easy peasy, no trouble at all. Until checkin. Checking in was super fast and easy. Until we got up to our room on the 4th floor with all our things and our four kids to open the door to a room that had only one bed. I immediately went back down and told the front desk there must be a mistake and pulled up my original email. The manager came out and apologized and said they were booked up and would not be able to give me the he double room and offered a twin rollaway bed. I advised that would not work bc two of my kids needed a bed. She wanted to look at the original booking to find out what had happened. She came back and apologized again and said it was their honest mistake. Apparently my entire booking was changed when I called in to drop the one night I had originally booked. She said they would take care of it. And moved us down to the first floor and gave us two rooms at no extra charge to ensure we all had a comfortable place and everyone had a bed and were right by each other! So in all…it was a great ending! But a little stressful start to our checkin.
