I had a really super stay here, thanks to all staff. I was running the 21km Trail du Velan alpine race and this was 10 minutes walk away from the start / finish. I had booked one of the small motel cabins (single story block separate to the main hotel), which are basic but clean and had everything I needed. The food in the main restaurant was superb, and the service really great. I will definitely come back and am looking forward to it.
All photos taken during weekend of 22-24 July 2022 and of the main hotel, my motel room and immediate area.

We had passed over the Col de Saint Bernard from Italy and this was a convenient stop on the way down. The room was clean with comfortable beds. The hotel has stopped at n the 70s to some degree but the staff were nice.
Our room had no curtains.

ACTUALLY NOTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT THE LOCATION IF YOU ARE IN FOR SKI OR A STOP BEFORE YOUR TRAVEL TO ITALY THROUGH GRAND Saint Bernard PASSAGE
WE BOOK A TRIPLE ROOM THROUGH BOOKING.COM. FOR THE HOTEL Bivouac de Napoléon. WHEN WE ARRIVE THERE THEY GAVE US A SMELLY OLD FASHION ROOM AT THE SIDE OF THE HOTEL WITH THE EXCUSE THAT WE BOOKED FOR THE MOTEL WITH THE PRICE CHARGED. EVEN THOUGH WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE ROOM THE OWNER REFUSED TO GIVE US ANY OTHER ROOM AVAILABLE SAYING THATS IT. TAKE IT OR LEAVE.
CAUSE WE ARRIVED LATE, WE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING AT THAT MOMENT. AFTER LEAVING OUR LUGGAGES AT THE ROOM WE DECIDED TO USE THE JACUZZI FACILITIES AS IT WAS ADVERTISED ON THE SITE.
AGAIN THE OWNER SAID THAT THE JACUZZI FACILITY IS FOR THE HOTEL MEMBERS, NOT FOR THE MOTEL AND HE ASKED 20E /P TO USE IT.
FOOD AND BREAKFAST VERY AVERAGE. WE STAYED THERE TILL NEXT DAY AND LEFT.

We stayed one night, just need to sleep somewhere on our way, it is very old motel and hotel, the furniture is old and demaged, breakfast is very simple, but you have to realize, that it is really just budget place to stay in switzerland

A traditional small hotel surrounded by a picturesque mountain scenery! Very warm hospitality and an excellent restaurant! Looking forward to our next visit!
Nothing that I can think of…

Very good value for money. We stayed in the motel and it was comfortable, breakfast included and very nice dinner available!

Good hotel right on the Tour des Combins route, and right next to the road leading up to the Grand St Bernard pass. We had a nice room apart from the main hotel, which was great - just missing a kettle.
The bar/restaurant was lovely, along with a good breakfast the follwoing morning.
No kettle in the room. Even though there was coffee sachets and mugs. Only a mild irritation though.

Room a bit tired
