This home is a special place to us & has been in our family for over 50 years. Over the years we have made many updates to the home. Panoramic views of the water can be had from most rooms in the home. Central location allows for day trips to DC, Annapolis, Baltimore, & St. Michael's.
The home has approx 2500 square feet, a wonderful Great Room with 46' HDTV w/cable, large Dining Room table that seats 10, & eat-in kitchen. Great house for a few days fishing and crabbing by the bay. Very comfortable for our group of 8. The house is as advertised, well appointed and in a great location. Plenty of room inside and out. Scott was very communicative from the moment we confirmed our rental. Highly recommend this house and if you go over the 4th of July weekend you’ll have a great view of several fireworks displays!

This is a great place to chill out with spectacular water views. The home has lots of wonderful spaces to hang out, read, watch TV, and look at the spectacular view. We also had fabulous canoe and kayak paddles up Cox Creek and adjacent waterways. Thanks Scott and Harry!

We had a wonderful stay at Harry at Scott’s home on the bay. Our 4 children range in ages from 1-15, and the house had plenty of space for all of us. Everything was just as we hoped it would be! The house is super clean, and the views from the pier were spectacular. Many great restaurants within a short drive, and everything we needed was easily accessible. We were even able to bring our small boat, and the crabbing was great - whether using hand lines from the pier or traps in the bait. Would definitely love to stay here again!

We visited the area because my husband’s mother had grown up on the Chesapeake Bay. He has always wanted to see the home which is part of Sandy Beach State Park. We were able to make this happen. I wanted to find a place to stay that would make our visit special. Scott and Harry’s home on Kent island do just that. It is a beautiful place. Quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Scott made it easy to book the home and his father, Harry, was gracious to show us around and make us feel welcome. All in all it’s a great place where you can relax. It was perfect for our visit. We would love to come back and explore more. Thank you for helping me fulfill a dream.

We had a lovely week in this traditional, spacious home. All of us, ranging in age from 1-66, enjoyed the comfortable and clean house, the fully equipped kitchen, and the stunning views of Cox Creek and the sunsets. I couldn’t have asked for more from the owners and their wonderful property!

We had a wonderful time during our visit. The location is close to all the convenience but remote enough to be close to nature. Comfortable house with a lot of things to do in and out.

Beautiful property - we enjoyed it very much!
Plenty of room for a family. Two bathrooms can be a little tough for 6 adults and a USNA midshipman trying to get ready for Commissioning week events, but we made it work and the location was not terribly inconvenient to the USNA yard as it provided a nice, quiet get away from the activities.

Cox Creek respite
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place on Cox Creek. The weather did not cooperate, but we still were able to enjoy the view at all times. The house was quite a bit larger than we expected and the accommodations were excellent. We would love to get back here again very soon.

Still Tranquil !!!!
Our second visit to this family’s home didn’t disappoint! The views are peaceful, and the osprey and many birds are great fun to watch.
We enjoyed all the local parks and had a chance to discover Historic Stevensville with a family fun community-based Easter Egg Hunt!

Spacious, spotless, comfy, gem!
The property was much nicer than photos can communicate and it was impeccably clean - a priority for us. The setting and view are beautiful, making it the perfect, comfortable, indulgent place for us to relax and decompress after a busy wedding weekend. The owners are kind, communicative, and very helpful. We loved the place and will return the next time we need to overnight in the area.

Thanksgiving Stay
I’m from the area and we decided to visit for Thanksgiving but it was too inconvenient for all five of us to stay with family (2 adults, 3 kids) and we wanted a place we could relax and spread out. This house was perfect. We didn’t spend a lot of time there but it was always a nice place to come back to after visiting friends and family. Thank you!

Five-star!
Huge family home made for a very comfortable weekend. We were on the island for a family wedding. Mr. Sanders gave us great tips for dinner location and how to avoid Route 50 traffic! I hope we can come again and stay longer, there was much to enjoy and too little time!

BEST EVER
We have been renting thru VRBO (HomeAway) for a very long time and this rental is clearly number one. EVERYTHING about the property was wonderful. Harry and Scott were super hosts. The house was very nice and the setting perfect. If you are looking for something better than this you will be looking for a long time. We were soooooo happy we chose this home to rent. Only wish I owned a boat.

Great stay on the Chesapeak
Our family of 8 , including two infants loved our stay here. House is plenty big and clean. Just sitting under the shade trees and watching the boats was so peaceful. We caught fish and crabs right off the dock. Had our boat docked the whole week with no troubles. Crabbing is very good just yards from the dock. A nice vacation spot on the eastern shore.

Perfect getaway
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. We stayed for a week, half the time at the house and half the time at nearby attractions including Annapolis, Baltimore & St. Michaels. The area has a country feel but is close to a food store and some great restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Location, Location, Location
When we were looking for a place to vacation with our daughter's family in this area, we were torn between this property, which was right on the water and several other options that appeared to have been more recently redecorated, but were not on the water. Throughout our vacation week, we congratulated ourselves for choosing the waterside location. The views of the water were lovely whether from the chairs on the lawn, the screened-in porch or the kayaks that Harry and Scott provide. At the same time, while the interior decor was a bit dated, everything was very comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed that the layout of the house allowed us to share the space with our daughter's family while giving everyone space of their own.
