Wooli provides a unique beach holiday experience with the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy the relaxed beach holidays of yester years. With a focus on pet friendly water front holiday accommodation Blue River Shack has been fully renovated to make the most of it's beautiful natural setting overlooking Wooli River and Yuraygir National Park providing fabulous evening sun sets and water views from an expansive deck area with the ocean and beach just metres away.

Great location overlooking river and the beach a short distance to beach. Close proximity to bowling club and cafe. Blue shack was clean, had a great outdoor deck and well equiped kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Great place to relax in this old beach shack. Lots of quirks in the shack to beware of like opening the front which is really the back door. You may never get it shut again. Make sure the fridge door is open to open the oven door. Watch your step from the sun room and use the washing machine with the laundry door Is closed. Lock your push bikes up at night. Otherwise we had a great time relaxing with views of the river. Overall the place gave us what we needed and I needed to remember it was just a beach shack.

Photos on website did not reflect the age of the property. Very dated property. Floor was not swept properly from previous stay as dog hair swept up was not from ours. Limited parking available at property. Pleasant village overall

Had a great stay at the Blue River Shack. The location is great and the house was clean, tidy and well equipped. Was great to have a house available where we could bring our dog. Our Labrador loved the water and the big deck to relax on.

We all enjoyed our stay. We bought oysters from the shop a few block away. Went fishing and swimming and had lots of BBQs on the deck. The only thing we found wrong was our small dog could escape under the front fence. The main bedroom light didn't work and the swich of the ceiling fan was broken off. Other than that everything was great.

Excellent Property
This is our second visit to Wooli and our first stay at the Blue River Shack and it was the perfect location and home away from home. We were able to bring our dog with us who loved having the deck to relax on and watch the world go by. We had a small issue with the water pressure in the shower but the property manager sorted this out for us with a plumber coming out first thing the next morning and we were back in action. Great location and walking distance to the local. The house was very clean and the bed was super comfy which is always a bonus when away from home. We will definitely back to stay at the shack next time we are in Wooli.!

Great location
Enjoyed the stay and location despite the heavy rain. Suggest cleaners/owners should check that all lights work (all bar 1 bedroom lamps did not work) and TV audio connections are correctly plugged in. Otherwise great house, large deck with views and BBQ well used. Outdoor shower was fantastic and beach, shops and bowls club all a very short walk. Highly recommend this place.

Great holiday destination and accommodation
Comfortable and clean accommodation, in a beautiful, quiet location. Lovely outlook over the river and very short drive to a patrolled beach. Our 12 year old poodle enjoyed laying out on the covered deck and taking long walks with us on the pet friendly beach, just a very short walk from the house. Great place!

I know that I am very late with my review but I would thoroughly recommend "Blue River Shack" to anyone contemplating a relaxing and peaceful break away. The accommodation is spot on! The cottage is homely and well equipped. What a fantastic place to stay! Especially if you are boating/fishing people, we were neither. We wanted a quiet place to stay with good beach walks. You have the choice of beach or river at Blue River Shack.. One at the back and one at the front. We just wanted a nice holiday with our old English Pointer. A place where we could relax and go for walks on the beach with her. At the time we were given permission for her to be inside with us. That was great!I have recently come back to this accommodation to reminisce, although sadly, we could not stay again as now we have 3 English pointers.. I noticed a review by Rebecca April 2012 about no screen doors on back or front.. That was our only complaint! Not for the same reason though..Although our old dog was allowed inside , she would have stayed outside in the daytime if there was a screen door. Blue River Shack does need screen doors different and obvious reasons.

We had a very relaxing stay in a well equipped house. I particularly liked the fact that we were located a very short distance from the beach. We spent long hours on the large deck eating Oysters from the local seafood shop watching the sun set. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic cottage to stay, well set up, very comfortable, beds were very comfortable airconditioner , beautiful, the deck a great way to watch the sun go down, with a good wine, you have to try the oysters, taking the dog to the beach which is only metres away, was excellent, escecially the dog she had a great run, a great little bowls club, which has Harry's chinese,you've got to try, we will be back, a little bit of paradise, the way it should be

Hi Rod once again second time round I just wanted to say thank you again letting us stay at your beach shack. It is just ideal for the kids and the dog they love it! We think it is a great value holiday. This time my husband went out fishing on Stans Fishing Charter and brought back some snapper for the BBQ which was a treat on the deck. As always the house was very clean and well appointed. My only gripe is that you are always booked out! Thanks again Tina

This is a great, well equipped and comfortable holiday house in a perfect location. We enjoyed a perfectly relaxing week, with walks along the beach with Jessie the dog, breakfasts on the deck and watching the sun go down over the river. So pleased we found it and hope to be back again.

A wonderful little cottage with great atmosphere and so handy to the beach and river. We had great fun kayak fishing and exploring the opposite side of the river where there is a fantastic sand dune to climb. An easy stroll to the Bowling Club and shops as well. Great to be able to take our dog along for the break. The large back deck is a great addition to the house. It would be wonderful in summer. All in all a relaxing break - we will be back for sure....
