About this cabin rental
The cabin is in a quiet community, located between the historic town of Jim Thorpe and Big Boulder ski resort. Surrounded by lush rhododendron on a 2-acre wooded lot, the property offers a sense of seclusion without sacrificing the security that comes with being in a community. It is a good place to relax and enjoy nature.
The interior of the house is newly renovated. The main living area consists of a combined living room and kitchen with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is well equipped. The living room is comfortable (with a new reclining sofa and chair recliner) and has a cozy gas fireplace.
The Loft area has just been newly renovated into a Master Bedroom Suite with a Full Bathroom and private deck overlooking the lush rhododendron.
Outside you can relax on the lower deck or hang out at the fire pit on our 4 new Adirondack chairs. There is a gas grille and table with chairs for outside dining.
There is no shortage of things to do in the Poconos. Below is a list of some area attractions:
- Close to the quaint historic town of Jim Thorpe for shopping, dining, entertainment, historic tours, and scenic train ride.
- Hiking and biking trails at Hickory Run State park (home of Boulder Field), and Lehigh Gorge State Park (Lehigh Gorge trail).
- Skiing at nearby Jack Frost/Big Boulder.
- White water rafting and paintball at Pocono Whitewater.
- Concerts at Penns Peak concert venue
- Pocono Raceway
- Beltsville, Hickory Run and Mauch Chuck Lakes nearby, and our own Community Lake, as well.
There are a number of area restaurants/taverns serving everything from pub food to fine dining.

Enjoyed a long weekend here at the tail end of the summer and loved every minute of it. The property was spacious enough for a family of 4, clean, had a great assortment of games for the kids, and a nice fire pit for evening smores. The owners were very responsive via email and text. The location was great, secluded and quiet, but close enough to Hickory Run, downtown Jim Thorpe, and Lehigh Gorge. Only downside was not having a washer/dryer - so be prepared to bring extra towels if doing water activities.

The place was perfect for a private getaway with friends and family. It was clean and organized - close enough to restaurants and stores as well as activities.

We have rented this cabin from Joan & Tom multiple times.
No complaints! The new addition of loft bedroom is
beautiful. We love the peace and quiet of this location. Plus lots of kitchen amenities. We had a beautiful week and enjoyed one evening outside around the fire ring - s'mores for all!

Just the place we were looking for to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! The home was decorated so nice and even though there were houses nearby, you couldn’t see them due to the trees and tall bushes. It was so peaceful and quiet when reading on the deck or sitting by the fire. Our hosts, Tom and Joan responded quickly to any questions we had. The home was fully stocked with anything you would need. It was the perfect place for us!

Our stay was everything we had hoped for and more! This cabin was perfect for a quiet, weekend getaway in beautiful Jim Thorpe. Nestled in a secluded neighborhood with Mountain Laurel as tall as trees, if you are looking for a fully furnished, clean, and well-maintained place that is close to all of the wonders the area has to offer, but far enough away from the downtown busy - this is the spot for you! We loved the firepit for relaxing after our drive, as well as, having the full kitchen and outdoor grill to cook at our home away from home. The owners were a pleasure to work with and were very responsive to all the questions we had along the way. We look forward to staying at this location again in the future, and hopefully, for more than just a few days.

My wife and I had a wonderful Christmas holiday near Jim Thorpe. The little cabin was just the right size for us. Clean, well maintained, cozy. Despite some snow, ice and bitter cold, the property was well prepared for the weather. A few nice holiday decorations set the Christmas mood. We were hunkered down when the temperature dropped and we were especially thankful for very good internet and the best equipped kitchen I have had in a rental. Big thanks to our hosts.

The property and cabin were wonderful! Booked as a birthday getaway for my parents, they loved the location and proximity to local amenities. It offered a wonderful, relaxing environment to enjoy the wildlife of late summer!

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our musical pilgrimage to the Martin Guitar factory in Nazareth, PA for our 18th wedding anniversary. The property was close enough to I-476 for easy travel, but the property was super quiet. The property is within a vacation home plan, but you can hardly tell anyone is around. The vegetation is dense enough that you feel like you're way out in the woods. The house was very clean and well stocked with toiletries and kitchen supplies. The owners made the reservation and check-in process very easy and transparent. If we are ever in the area again, we would check out this property. Thanks so much for a pleasant stay.

Beautiful place, great hosts
We had a great time here. The house is perfect--secluded and surrounded by thick, tall rhododendrons for complete privacy. Well-supplied and stocked kitchen, great features like the outdoor firepit, hammock, etc. And the hosts are perfect. Highly recommended for a stay in the area.

Great place! Excellent communication and problem solving
The property was in excellent condition and was exactly as we hoped. Unfortunately, there was a mechanical issue at the property which was not the fault of the owners. When we contacted them, they were super responsive and great with their follow up. We would definitely stay here again.
