ONE NIGHT REQUESTS PLEASE NOTE:

We only accept one night bookings for SATURDAY nights if it is within a week of your requested stay. ie we will not accept one night bookings for Saturday nights unless it within the next 7 days. If you only require a one night stay on a Saturday, you are welcome to book for 2 nights and have early check in on the Saturday morning and late check out on the Sunday (cooler months only). We happily take one night bookings for midweek stays (Sunday to Thursday nights).

Living areas:
The formal lounge room has aleather lounge suite and sofa bed, TV, PS3;
RUMPUS ROOM has a huge modern leather lounge suite, billiard table, leather sofa bed, smart TV & DVD.

KITCHEN: Well contained kitchen including appliance cupboard, microwave, serving platters, wine & champagne glasses, ceramic and plastic plates and cups & more.

EATING AREAS include a formal dining room with a solid oak dining table surrounded by 8 leather scroll back chairs, a meals area with a modern kitchen table and 6 chairs, a kitchen with 4 kitchen stools and glass and aluminium outdoor setting. A high chair and booster are also available.

BEDROOMS:
Quilts/doonas and pillows provided in all bedrooms (linen including sheets, pillowcases, towels, teatowels etc available if required for small additional cost),.

Bed 1-New York bedroom – Queen size bed in modern New York theme with crystal light fittings and bedside lamps. Includes ensuite with frameless shower & 2 sinks

Bed 2: Oriental bedroom – a striking red & black bedroom decorated in an oriental theme with a queen bed.

Bed 3: French Provincial bedroom - 1 double bed decorated in black and silver tones

Bed 4: the British bedroom - 2 single beds (bunk) with a British theme.

Rumpus room: double sized leather sofa bed

Linen (including sheets, pillowcases, towels, facewashers, bath mats, hand towels and teatowels) can be provided at a an additional cost

Outdoors: there is a swing set, small climbing frame with slide, large merbau outdoor setting, and a 4 burner bbq.

LOCAL FACILITIES

The beach is situated at one end of the street and a shopping centre is at the other end of the street just around the corner.

The shopping centre has Woolworths, butcher, Bakers Delight, fruit and fine foods shop, Subway, KFC, fish and chip shop, Priceline chemist, Chinese restaurant and takeaway, pizza shop, bbq chicken shop, Donut King.

The beach is approx 700m from the house, and the shopping centre would be slightly more. There is also a milkbar (incl. fish and chip shop) located on the street and another milkbar/coffee shop opposite the beach just at the end of the street.

There are a few boutique wineries in the area, a golf course and various restaurants and shops.

An indoor swimming pool situated around the corner at the end of the street with great children's pool with slide.

There is a Mini Golf complex just over 5 minutes drive, and for a great day out, the Adventure Park with large water slides is under 10 minutes drive.

We had a great weekend stay at this large place in the centre of Ocean Grove. The house is large and comfortable, and has everything you need - massive TV, large comfy couches, pool table, well-equipped kitchen, nice outdoor space. The house itself is decorated in a very crass way so it's worth keeping that in mind if that sort of thing is important to you (one of the bedrooms is 'geisha' themed, for example) - but it didn't matter to us. Communication with the host was very easy, and check in/check out was super simple. Great location too, close to the beach and the town is a short drive away. Overall great stay!

We had a long day travelling from Ballarat via 12 Apostles and the Great Ocean Road. It was a real pleasure to open the door and enter this lovely house. Very grateful to be able to book one night for our group. The house is beautiful inside and had everything we needed and then some!

We stayed here for 4 nights in total, was very spacious and everyone had their own room. Great location close to the beach. was easy to deal with the owners and a easy check in. recomend anyone to stay there.

We found this home clean and enjoyed the fun decor. We had three families staying and the home was big enough for us all to have our own space and enjoy being all together. Every item you could need is found in abundance in the kitchen, the pool table provided hours of entertainment for the teenagers & the formal dining a lovely space for adults to enjoy an evening together, outside enough chairs and tables to accommodate us all For our group the consensus was we would return again for sure!! If we had to give a possible suggestion for improvement, the plumbing was a little noisy ( but there were 2 washers and dryers and 2 bathrooms- for us it was worth it!)

We stayed for 3 nights with friends who have kids. The place is big enough for us and the host was kind enough to let us check in early and leave a bit late. Heater was available and was awesome as the weather was cold when we arrived. Just too bad that the dishwasher was broken by the previous renter, so wasnt able to use it but we were informed beforehand.

Our stay in Ocean Grove was made so much better by our time spent at this property. Situated in a quiet residential area close to the beach, the house was easy to find and in a great location for everything we needed. The house was incredibly clean, spacious, comfortable and enjoyable. It is very well-equipped with cutlery/crockery, kitchen appliances and utensils, and sources of entertainment including a pool table and a large tv with access to popular streaming services. The decor and house design is beautiful and really helps to set the scene for a vacation. The hosts are genuine, honest and easy to communicate with; and were very flexible in facilitating a later check-out time for us. I can highly recommend this property and would confidently book again without any hesitations.

We all enjoyed our stay at Sunset Strip. The bedroom decors were a talking point and we appreciated the effort in decorating them. The massive TV and Netflix being available in the main entertainment area was well ahead of many places we have stayed at. Thank you! Second TV in lounge area great also. Kitchen very well equipped. Owners lovely to communicate with during the booking process. Area very quiet during our stay.

We stayed the week after Xmas - a group of 5 adults and 4 teenagers. Positives included the pool table (which everyone enjoyed), a very well stocked kitchen - heaps of plates, cutlery, glasses etc. Also 2 washing machines and dryers and dishwashing tablets supplied as well as toilet paper. Living areas were spacious - 2 dining tables seating 16 in total. There were also fans or evaporative coolers for all the bedrooms and air con in the main living area. It was easy to contact the owner when we did have issues. The house is located a 10 min walk down the road to the beach. Negatives - cleanliness in the main living and kitchen area was an issue. We have told the owner and she has said this will be addressed. Few other maintenance issues that we have also emailed the owner about checking on a regular basis so it doesn't become an issue for other guests.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation! Beds were great, us adults enjoyed pool whilst the kids played with the provided toys and books. The art on the wall of the rumpus sparked conversations on dream places to travel to. I did however have issues opening the lockbox with the keys in it. The code was correct but it was like it was jammed shut. I wish it wasn't raining so the kids could have played on the outdoor equipment too. Being car people, the double garage would have come in handy to get all of our cars off the street. Not having access was frustrating for the men

We did really enjoy our time at the property and on first glanc the house was great, the heaters worked well all the kitchen utensils etc were amazing. The property wasnt very clean though although on first impressions appeared so. The kitchen floor was extremely grimly, some linen did not smell fresh and there was some dried blood on a pillow in the bedroom in the back room. the bathroom tap (not ensuite) did not have hot water and the rubbish had not been emptied perhaps from a previous visit. Both Friday and Saturday nights there were extremel noisy neighbors screaming and yelling from a house behind this one well into the night................but really it wasnt too bad and for a lot of people would be quite comfortable. The linen was not left out for us but the owner was very very helpful in assisting us locate some linen and this was not really a problem at all.....................If I had a few people in the area again i would check availability.................

The property was great for our large family. The pool table was a great source of entertainment. Everything we needed was available at the property. Not sure if cleaners are employed, but would be worthwhile owners checking after clean to ensure it is done to the standard they expect.

Great cooking facilities in the kitchen. The pool table was fun but could do with some maintenance. Nice, spacious house in quiet area. The TV, DVD, Netflix was tricky to work out so could do with some directions and the house could definitely been cleaned better as I had to clean the floors again after we arrived but apart from that we loved our stay at this accomodation and would stay there again.
