Was a Pleasant stay

Excellent location with good restaurant and play ground just beside the facility. Our kids loved to be there.

The water was dirty. We could drink even wash dishes with that water , sheets were dirty.

The water was dirty. We could drink even wash dishes with that water , sheets were dirty, the shower was not working and dirty . The fridge was not working. Toaster not working, the stove was dirty. To be honest I would recommend anyone to go there.

Great swimming pool, everything else does not justify the price.

Well kept swimming pool

Stuffy on arrival (house needs airing out before guests check in), stained walls, ceilings, bedsheets, pillowcases and towels, significant wear and tear on doors, floors and kitchen cabinets, insufficient cutlery for 4 guests, old dirt inside and old litter outside (pointing to insufficient quality control on cleaning activities), non functioning A/C in one of the four bedrooms, non functioning electric stove and oven.

Péssima relação preço qualidade, estive num imóvel com vista ao mar, nota-se que em tempos foi um imóvel de luxo mas, está a cair aos pedaços, na varanda inferior onde tem a piscina privada, o pilar frontal esquerdo cedeu, não se podendo aceder o lugar sob forte risco de desabamento, a piscina estava suja, a limpeza é deficiente, agravada pelo facto de as madeiras estarem em decomposição, soltando permanentemente um pó branco. O imóvel não é estável a acção do vento, abanando de forma assustadora para os seus ocupantes. Em suma, as fotos que estão no booking são de longa data, a realidade só se encontra no restaurante e na piscina que ali está.

Beach access with 235 steps. No room service. Restaurant and pool very far from rooms. No bar at beach front. Very small pool.

Great stay

It was great stay at Golden Beach. The house is very spacious and comfortable, the pool is clean and we enjoyed it very much. The facilities are very good, we found all needed kitchen utensils. The pathway to the beach is extremely beautiful, surrounded by trees, absolutely amazing.

The house we stayed were a bit close to the reception. It wasn't bad and we didn't lose our privacy, but we were looking for something more reclusive. But the house is amazing, and we can't complain about nothing in there.

The house was very cozy, smaller than the one I stayed there before. Good enough to repeat.

There were remains of dead lizard on the jacuzzi, it showed that the cleaning was not so careful.

Hillside Self Catering

The restaurant and pool area is amazing. The grounds are spectacular. It's quite a treck to the beach but well worth the walk. House A had its own pool and spacious rooms and living rooms.

House A could use a could use some updating and modernizing. Definitely needs more amenities in the kitchen. It ok for 1 day but needs more pots, pans, and kitchen items for those looking to.do self catering for longer periods. AC in the room could only be switched on by the plug, could not be controlled by the remote control.

Pleasant

Management moved us to a cleaner better equipped villa (Villa 3) after our complaints about the first one.

The first villa (Villa A) was generally unclean and dusty from the kitchen to the bed sheets to the point of giving us allergies. It was as if the house had been shut for ages and opened upon our arrival. Kitchen did not have cloths and had dirth cabinets and cloudy glasses. No signal at all in the house

Misleading advertising ruined what should have been a great stay had we been fully informed!

The property was great and very comfortable.

The advert detailing its location as Ponta do Ouro is factually incorrect as it is located in Ponta Malongane. We would not have booked this accommodation if we had known that it was not in Ponta do Ouro which was our chosen location so your advert is misleading. The advert ought to also warn travelers that this location is only reachable by 4x4 vehicles due to very bad roads with very loose sand. Very misleading g advertising! Even though we were expected, we were allocated a Villa that had a pool that was out of working order and the manager shrugged his shoulders, saying that these things happen and there was nothing he could do. we insisted on being allocated accommodation with a working swimming pool which was done the next day. Their prices of meals and drinks are triple the prices of neighbouring establishments and they use a currency exchange rate that results in even higher prices being paid - daylight robbery. of course, after the first meal there and the realisation of what they were doing, we refused to support them and went elsewhere - fortunately there were plenty options in both Ponta Malongane and Ponta do Ouro. The adverts state that they are on the beach - what they don’t mention is that you’ve got to climb hundreds of steps to get down to the beach and then back up to the accommodation again.

Great weekend

I enjoyed the accommodation, the swimming pool, the peaceful atmosphere and the views.

The kitchen had a bugs infestation and the stairs to the beach needed some repairs as the safety was questionable.
