Good location, it was close to the venue for a family party, ideal for large groups, hot tub a bonus
Only one bathroom with bath/shower not enough for 10 people sharing, the entrance into the house is VERY steep and needs attention large pot hole you could potentially damage you car, great size car parking area but again needs attention, outside needs a bit of TLC
4.5
Great location for visiting the sculpture park or I guess if you were attending a wedding at the nearby hotel. Beds comfortable (Although the bunkbeds are really only suitable for a small adult or fairly young children.).
Everything was very clean, the bathroom and kitchen were modern and a hot tub was an added bonus.
Nice view from back over woodland
It is by a fairly busy road. Some parts of the property could do with updating as a little tired, but given the price, it still represented excellent value for money and was not a problem for us

Location
Spacious
Hot tub
This property is lovely and could easily be made amazing but there are things that really let it down. As many previous reviews mention, the fridge isn’t really big enough for 8 people and the door shelf is broken. The kettle in the property just about boils enough water for 2 people at a time, not ideal when there are 4 people waiting for a hot drink. The hot tub is a fantastic addition and is a good size, however, in the 3 days that we were there nobody came to check the water quality and by day 3 we couldn’t even use it because there were no chemicals in the water and it was very murky. Also, all 4 of our children have got spots all over their bodies which we believe is from being in unclean water.
The driveway leading to the property is VERY steep! Although there isn’t anything that can be done about the gradient of the driveway, it could do with resurfacing and clearing of all of the leaves/debris on it. We could only just get our car up the driveway to leave.
The garden/terrace area could be incredible but it just feels very unloved/overgrown/unkempt and none of the outside lights were working on an evening so we couldn’t even go out there to make use of the fire pit.

Too many steps.
Very steep driveway.
Listed as enclosed. It is not.

Lovely location in countryside with woods and walks nearby. The Lodge is situated on its own and is quiet, but very convenient for local amenities including shops and restaurants. Also within a short and easy drive of local places of interest such as Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Cannon Hall Farm and Nostell Priory amongst others.
The hot tub at the Lodge was a welcome bonus.
The lodge was clean overall and the rooms spacious.
A good welcome pack.
Lots of parking.
The main issue was the fridge which was far too small for all of us (plus the door shelf was broken which cut the usable space further). This has been mentioned in more than one review previously and could be addressed quite cheaply.
Only one bathroom. Extra downstairs toilet was useful (though this is en suite to a bedroom)
Very steep drive.
4.0
The bedrooms and bathrooms are really clean, there are plenty of utensils/pots and pans etc. Having the dishwasher makes everything much easier too. The hot tub is an amazing addition as well as the great sized rooms and having enough seats for everyone in the living room. The area is great and the staff at the hotel are really helpful.
The fridge is small given the size of the house. There was no welcome basket on arrival and it looked like it had been cleaned in a rush - there was old food left in the BBQ, the sofa hadn't been cleaned, a dining chair was broken and there were old cigarettes all over the patio. The wheelie bin is also too small for how big the house is and we had issues with foxes getting into the binbags overnight. The only other issue we had was the drive is very steep and some of our cars struggled to get back up to the top so parked in the hotel instead.

Lovely surroundings
When we arrived the staff were not going to let us have the house
