About this house rental
This Gorgeous 1940s Quonset Hut was used to store ammunition.
With only a handful left in the state and only a few thousand in the entire country, we just had to restore it to its former glory. Featuring 2,600 sq ft of character - from its moody paneled sitting room with a baby grand piano to its domed eat in kitchen with dining table that seats twelve - this property was meant for entertaining. The master bedroom boasts not only an ensuite bathroom but also a lounge seating area. There's even a secret room with bunk beds and a game room. When the weathers nice, take it outside and enjoy the deck, firepit, and new hot tub or play a little ping pong in the game room. Only quick ride to the beach.
Pets are welcome once approved by Moore House Management and require a $100 Pet Policy Fee.
While we do not allow outside vendors on property, our team would love to plan and oversee an intimate event for you.

I have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals, and this is the best I’ve ever stayed at by far! It was better than staying at a five star resort, every detail has been thought of. We were looking for a home base to be able to visit several towns along the coast and this was a perfect location. We were a short distance from Newport, New Bedford, Boston, and even spent a day at Martha’s Vineyard. It was great to be able to come home and relax by the fire in the hot tub, and the kids had a blast with the ping pong table and games. If you are thinking of booking, don’t hesitate! This was such a unique and wonderful experience, our family will remember it for years to come! So glad we were lucky enough to spend a few days here!

When looking for a property for this particular family trip, we wanted a place where we could enjoy a home that encouraged conversation and relaxation. Our adult children met us at this property and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed with all the little touches. The kitchen is a great gathering area with a baby grand piano. We used the fire pit each night. Plenty of quality fire wood. The outdoor hot tub was nice during the cool November evenings. All the beds were comfortable with quality pillows and linens. Of course there were plenty of ping pong challenges in the separate game room. We are already are discussing our return trip. The house was well prepared and equipped for a truly satisfying stay. Our host was very responsive with any question we had. Great place to enjoy quality time with your loved ones!

Quonset Hut
This is a lovely property in a lovely spot. Our hosts went above and beyond with fresh lemonade, wonderful snacks and beautiful hydrangeas in every room. Mark even brought us a 7 pound zucchini the likes of which we had never seen. Two of us enjoyed kayaking, the rest of us enjoyed walking on the beach, Newport, Portsmouth, but most importantly the beauty and history of Tiverton. The piano was a wonderful asset!!

Beautiful home. Very welcoming, enjoyed the cider, cheese plate and s’mores set up. Very clean. This was a nice change from staying in a hotel when visiting family. House was very comfortable and lots of room. We plan to stay again our next visit.

Everything about our stay at the Quonset Hut exceeded expectations. Upon arrival, the property felt magical, as the owners had the outdoor tree lights lit and twinkling, and music playing from the Sonos speakers to welcome us, along with fresh cut flowers, and the fridge already stocked with fresh eggs, cream and milk, not to mention pancake mix and s’mores supplies! Our teenagers loved the mini cupcakes that were left out, and the ‘hidden’ bedroom. The design and decor of the Quonset Hut was what had drawn us to the space, and did not disappoint. The kitchen was Incredibly well stocked and it felt like there were surprises in every room. Beds were luxurious, spotless and comfortable. It was warm, and the owners quickly came and installed an air unit in the room for the kids, which was amazing.
Both mornings for coffee and evenings for drinks and s’mores, we took advantage of the amazing outdoor space, with hot tub, stone fire pit area and plenty of comfortable seating. You are well set off the road and private, but with easy access (even in these odd times) to Gray’s Ice Cream, Evelyn’s for seafood, several local beaches and more. We also took the easy trip to Newport, where even more great options awaited the entire family. Communication was clear and the home was notably clean and sanitized, so we felt our safety was taken care of as well.
We loved our stay at the Quonset Hut, and are looking forward to returning!

You can tell There’s a lot of care and effort to make it a very special stay for each guest. We loved the hot tub especially on the cool fall nights when we were there. We did yoga one morning at the Quonset. It was so much fun to have the instructor come for a private class. We ventured out one day to a wine tasting at Greenvale Vineyards - beautiful spot. We went to the Boathouse for brunch on another day - great view and food. Our last day, after checkout we went to Newport for shopping and had lunch at a fantastic French brasserie Stoneacre. We would not recommend Black Goose Cafe (something like that) located right in Tiverton. We ate there for a quick bite when we first arrived. It was terrible. Every place else we went was great. We loved our Quonset stay!

Our protocol for our beds before guest come in
We strip all linens, we lint roll the bed and pillows and we spray the beds and pillow cases with tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil and then place freshly clean bedding back on
All our couches and soft furniture are lint rolled and sprayed as well
Even thou lice can not live off of a human or in carpets and or on furniture ect.
And also just to let you know
The guests prior to you were 4 adults and just 2 beds used
No children

Terrific Quonset Hut
The Hut provided us with a wonderful vacation. The website accurately shows the property...comfortable, fully appointed kitchen, lovely outdoor area and ample room inside for ourselves and family. And the air conditioning was an added benefit! The Moore family is responsive and welcoming. An outstanding property by anyones standards.

Amazing and unusual property!
We rented this property for my son's graduation from Roger Williams University. Parents - RENT THIS PROPERTY FOR GRADUATION! The house is beautiful, clean, spacious, and well maintained. The outdoor space is equally nice, including a fire pit, hot tub, wireless speakers and plenty of seating. The owners really thought of everything and went above and beyond expectations to make our stay comfortable - with many little extras. Please note that there are a few single steps and door saddles throughout the house that might be slightly challenging for an elderly person. ( Our 82 and 84 year old guests did just fine, though!) I cannot express how lucky we feel to have found this quirky, beautiful home.

Amazing, every bit.
I cannot begin to describe what a wonderful weekend and chefs dinner we had at the Quonset hut. The Moore Family has crafted an absolutely beautiful environment, both in the striking design of the space and in the way in which every little thing has been thought of to surprise and delight their guests. Staying there feels like staying in the home of a close friend who runs the most well-appointed guest house--personal and caring and design-focused. Our family had a special dinner while we were there and Blair and Sharon partnered with a great team to make that happen. The table set was gorgeous beyond and the quality of the experience was one for the books. I cannot thank the Moore family enough for their thoughtfulness and for making our experience staying at their property so memorable. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting a beautiful space in a beautiful spot on the RI coast. It was really beyond expectations in every way. Thank you!!!!!

Amazing property!
This home is absolutely gorgeous - it is by far the most unique, beautiful home that I have ever rented through VBRO or Airbnb. In addition to the layout and decor being amazing, there were so many nice touches! We couldn't believe it when we walked in - it was so welcoming with beautiful music playing and cookies, cupcakes, hot chocolate bar, cheese and bread there for us to enjoy! And very important - the bed was so comfortable with amazing sheets, duvet and loads of comfortable pillows. We enjoyed our stay here so much!

Wonderful long winter weekend, such hospitality!
We had such an wonderful stay for a long winter weekend! Not that it even seems possible, but the house is more amazing than the pictures. The rooms are so well decorated with thought to how people will actually use the space. The entire house is incredibly clean. The best part, by far, is the thought that has gone into making guests feel welcome. After planning and packing and driving, it was amazing to walk into the house and be greeted by such thoughtful treats. And the bedding is amazing! The ping pong table and hot tub and fire pit made our winter weekend so much fun! We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay in this or another of the Moore house properties again, in fact, we've already booked one!

Impressed and Wowed!
I can simply state that when my husband and I arrived for a long weekend in Rhode Island this past November, we were impressed and wowed by the beautiful property. This home is extremely clean and well appointed and our hosts went above and beyond to add small touches so that we felt welcomed the minute we arrived. The kitchen area is extremely unique and certainly sets the home apart from all of the others! We look forward to spending another Fall weekend at "The Quonset" and appreciate that not only ourselves were welcomed, but also our small pups! Thank you for a wonderful stay in an eclectic home!

Absolutely fabulous!
From the moment we arrived everything was incredible. The attention to detail was better than a 5 star hotel! The fire pit was stocked and ready, there were baskets of snacks and goodies left for us, a large basket of smores supplies, hot mulled cider, lemon water in every bedroom.... I could go on. The Moore's know how to make their guests feel special and welcome. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to have a fabulous cousins weekend where we all took turns cooking. I highly recommend a stay at the Quonset Hut - you'll make memories that will last a lifetime! We sure did!

This house was beyond beautiful when we got there for my dad's birthday celebration during July 4th weekend. The house was meticulously decorated. It has everything we needed. It was appropriate for all ages! (We had kids as young as 3 to adults as old as 70) The Moore treated my family so well and was fast to respond for anything we needed. I truly recommend this place and would definitely come back for another stay.

Opening the door to this beautiful home was exciting and beautiful. We couldn't get over how each and every detail was thought of. The rooms are decorated beautifully, and fully stocked with whatever you might need.
When we arrived there was a delicious spread of fresh lemonade, fruit and other little bites set out on the counter ready for us!
My stay at the Quonset Hut was for work and I had to ship a few things out to the house prior to my stay and the Moore family couldn't have been more accommodating and wonderful.
While this trip was for work, we want to return next time for leisure. It lends itself to the perfect spot for a vacation with friends or family.
I could go on and on about how wonderful and inspiring this space was, and how lovely the Moore's are. So grateful I found this gorgeous space!
