It was a great stay for me.

Great location. Suited my needs to have bathroom & kitchen & the home to myself.

Some of the pots & pans had not been washed up very well. I did clean one of them up, but 2 of the non-stick saucepans were difficult to get clean. I am guessing that this was from some of the previous guests. Was not an issue for me. Just something I noted, as wanted to use the saucepan.

Its perfect value for money if you don’t want to stay in a hostel.

Clean, spacious, the cleaning lady SUPER nice. Great location!! Easy check in and check out. The kitchen has all the facilities. Two big toilets

The matress in the room where I stayed was not confortable to be honest. If you want to use the kitchen you need to buy your own sponge and soap (but this is an advice, I guess its not negative) also bring shampoos etc.

Un AirBnb, pas une chambre d’hôte

Un très bon rapport qualité-prix. La maison est agréable, dotée d’une grande pièce commune avec salon et cuisine très bien équipée. La chambre est simple mais climatisée. Wifi très satisfaisant. Bon débit d’eau chaude. Les modalités d’accès au lieu sont un peu surprenantes : il faut répondre un questionnaire envoyé par mail pour recevoir le code de la boîte à clé… Mais cela ne nous a pas posé réellement de problème.

Nous savions qu’il fallait quitter la chambre à 10h, pas qu’il était interdit de rester dans les pièces communes ou même les extérieurs au-delà. Nous nous sommes vraiment sentis chassés des lieux… Il semblait ne plus y avoir de gaz pour faire fonctionner les plaques de cuisson.

Quiet, reasonable priced.

Good shower, comfy beds, private rooms.

Notes in welcome pack were a little sketchy. Made you feel a little unwelcomed. But otherwise great, the owners were out of town at the time so never met them although they did give us a number to contact if needed which was lovely.

Lovely place aircon in the room much needed and close to beaches

Pleasant and secure rooms clean and tidy, has all the facilities needed for a stay and opted for an extra night

A really cute house, with nice owners, perfect to have a quiet and relaxing staying.

The owner is easy to contact and talk to. The house is really cute, since it's a share house you get to meet nice people but you still have privacy. The location is also great, not very far from the beach and from the groceries store

Great value for money that met all my expectations.

Very convenient location close to shops and cafes. Very quiet. Door security. Water pressure!

Bed was a little hard. I used the doona folded double to make it softer.

Loved it

Great location, super clean feel and smell, great kitchen, comfy sofas and living space!

Virtually nothing wrong, but unfortunately our bed sheets didn’t feel completely clean! I think they had just accumulated dust in the cupboard !

We enjoyed our stay at Castaway,can only say if you don’t want to abbey the rules don’t stay there,

While first impressions of the house were a little concerning,when we got inside we were pleasantly surprised,large kitchen that had all we needed,comfy lounge area and our bedroom was big enough with a handy clean bathroom. This was the first time in all our years of travelling we had experienced a shared house but met a number of other guests during our ten night stay. After reading the do,s and donts of the conditions of staying and meeting Paul the owner can only say if we were to visit again we would certainly consider staying again,it certainly suited our needs,we are in our seventies so it was great to mix with a number of young people all of which we found friendly

The house was clean and tidy but needs a little more TLC around the deck and garden but we realise after talking to Paul the owner that it’s a work in progress.

Overnighter in Rainbow Beach

Cheap option if you have overnight in Rainbow beach. Room in shared house with shared facilities and depends who else is staying at time.

Had late bus next day and owner was chasing me out house at 10:15am in the rain, with nowhere to leave bags etc. Had to check-in to backpackers for the day, so probably only good if you haven't got transport

The outside was very unkempt, the entry code was not sent to me so had to chase that up on arrival, the kitchen light wasn't working

One night in Agnes

Good airco in the bedroom, good bed, nice/big kitchen/living area.

Strange idea to have CCTV in the kitchen/living area, never experienced it before. On the other hand it can give you also some safe feeling I guess. I understand why the owners made the choice they explain in welcome map.
