We totally loved to stay at casa clara with our 2 kids for one week in August. Especially the pool and terrace were perfect for refreshing and relaxing during the summer heat. We also loved to pick the grapes from the garden which were really tasty. Clare and her whole „team“ are doing a fantastic job. You can contact all of them around the clock and they respond fast. Once we locked ourself out of the casa in the evening but we contacted Clare and she reached out immediately to Ron the gardener to rescue us. :) not only the casa but also the whole little village of Torrox is worth a visit. There are lot of good little restaurants, bakeries and everything you need. Also the beaches around Torrox Costa are just a 15min car ride left.
All in all we had a great time here and enjoyed every moment.
We really enjoyed our stay

We found this beautiful place to be exactly as advertised. It was in the mountains, was rustic, welcoming and absolutely beautiful. The Casa Clara has everything you need to enjoy for a relaxing hideaway in the mountains. The pool was lovely and there was always a sunny spot, and for those who needed shade just sat under the Wisteria looking at the view. We loved meeting the gardener who showed us around - we found apricots, oranges and almonds. We even made lemonade out of the lemons. The village of Torrox is a beautiful Spanish village serving reasonably priced food. The village may look far away from the house, as it’s in the mountain, but it is really not that far a walk. In fact it is lovely to walk through the village streets. And if you don’t want to walk the hill back after get a taxi like we did. We fell in love with the cats who were no trouble at all. One in particular, ginger, would often come to say hello in the morning and enjoyed just being around us. The welcome pack was a great touch and we appreciated it. Clare has been amazing to communicate with and she sorted a minor issue immediately. A beautiful place and we will certainly be back.

We stayed in Casa Clara during February half term. We had 3 really scorching days and 4 cloudy days.... all 18-24’c, it was the perfect weather for both the beach and exploring the region.
The Villa is exactly as described. It is simple, not fancy but had everything you need for a cosy and relaxing stay. The nights were cool so we used the wood burner and turned on the heater in the spare room.
The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil you could need!
The outside area is beautiful. The views, the patio and the pool were all wonderful. We sat out watching the lights of Torrox come on as the sun set, drinking a glass of wine with a blanket to snuggle into.
The access road to the house is well tarmaced but very steep, we had a 1.4 engine rental car, I’m glad we didn’t have a tiny 1l.
We walked down into the town for dinner some evenings, the walk is lovely. Just the final road to the house that is the calf killer!
We visited Granada, The Torcal Atequilar and the caves in Nerja.
Nerja beach was our favourite.
Clare the owner communicated so well I felt completely prepared for our visit, access was easy and the wine, milk and coffee was very much appreciated.
We would happily return! We miss it already.

We have just returned from this villa today, now let me just get the bad bit out the way first as there is only one, it was advertised with air con but upon arrival it was apparent this wasn’t the case, and the air con was in fact windows and fans, now had it of been just my husband and myself no problem, but I booked this because we are traveling with a young family, the youngest 10 months. When the nights are as hot as they are fans just don’t cut it, so that for us was a massive disappointment, none of us slept well for the whole week. So I do think the description needs to be more accurate, it this would be the website not allowing the ow er to put fans only.
However.... the location was beautiful, being tucked out of the way is just what we wanted! The house itself is very rural and has a lovely feel to it, I do feel it could do with a freshen up but that is just my taste. Functionality it was fine, the fridge was a perfect size for the 5 of us and the oven worked just fine. The terrace was amazing! For us it was great as we hired a walker locally and our 10 month old loved razzing around on the terrace in the mornings and evening. My husband and I would sit in the terrace once this kids were in bed and watch the moon come up. The only word of advice is bug spray! We have both come back reassembling a mosquito feast! So I would say take some repellent with you. The kids loved the pool and they were in it from the moment the last bit of breakfast hit their lips until we dragged them out for dinner!
We didn’t go into Torrox as we prefer heading to Nerja which is a 10 mins drive away. But to be honest the location is that lovely we didn’t feel we needed to go anywhere.
For the directions you need to use the coordinates provided as they get you right there.
All in all a lovely holiday, just a shame about the air con, this is the o my thing that would stop us from booking here again.

Very traditional Spanish villa. We had enjoyable stay. Clare was very helpful in sorting our gas quickly. Walk to the village was pleasant but very steep on the return🤣We did find disposing of rubbish a little difficult as there are no bins close to the property, unless we didn't find them. Definitely would recommend a car.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Clara with our two children aged 6 & 9. The pool is fantastic and the views stunning! In our opinion a car is essential.

Would highly recommend this lovely house with fantastic terrace that has a great view over the valley. Perfect spot only a few minutes walk into Torrox. Ideal place to explore the local area. We enjoyed the rustic charm and as we went in February used the wood burner as it can get quite chilly. We were lucky that during the day the weather was blue skies and warm enough for a bit of sun bathing. Torrox has a nice feel to it and a little less touristy but a few minutes drive to the beach.

We absolutely loved Clare’s villa. It has everything you need. A total home from home. Gorgeous and massive terrace for sunbathing and dining on. Round the corner a beautiful, especially at night pool area. We loved strolling down to the village for dinner and drinks. Very good prices, we came home with holiday money !! The villa is amazing with stunning views and comfort. We really didn’t want too come home and would happily revisit. Thank you Clare. If you ever want too sell please let us know !! Casa Clara is lovely and is an authentic Andalusian cottage. A very private and quiet location on the hillside just above a lovely village that has everything you need. A lovely walk down through the small white winding streets into Torrox is a must. The villa has everything for your stay and has a great team running it if you need them. The pool was a hit with our little boys and the huge outdoor space was a hit with us enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. We had a lovely holiday here and will keep it in mind to return again in the future.
