The 1920's Cottage was absolutely a wonderful stay with beautiful gardens and wildlife and very tranquil and very accessible to other places. We enjoyed Lido beach north and Sarasota downtown and took a drive within an hour to Saint Petersburg a very trendy and beautiful city.
Our host Nigel was very kind and accommodating.

We spent an entire month at Nigel and Simone‘s cottage. it was simply wonderful, an experience we will treasure for the rest of our lives. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, clean, and completely welcoming. The term “premier host” is sometimes used a bit too casually. Nigel and Simone are simply the best hosts we have encountered in our extensive travels. There were a few very minor issues that needed attention, mostly because we’re not so great at handling new equipment. But Nigel was always responsive very quickly to our requests and took care of everything immediately. One of the best aspects of this rental is the extensive amount of equipment that is available; beach, chairs, camping chairs, blankets, umbrella, everything you need for the beach and enough for at least four people. We had some family come down, and we never had to worry about having enough equipment; one camping chair, broke, and within a day Nigel presented us with two brand new chairs. Where do you get that kind of service? The location is convenient to downtown Sarasota, the beach, Selby gardens, the airport, and every kind of shopping imaginable.

The cottage was a nice home away from home. We really enjoyed our stay and all the amenities. The kitchen area was perfect and stocked with all the necessary utensils and cookware. The bed was super comfy and the back porch was great to enjoy morning coffee. Nigel was super fast to respond to any inquiries we had. It is a little slice of heaven. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

This is an older cottage and does show its age in some areas. The bathroom is newer and the shower is very nice. The private outdoor area was nice. It only has a 1 room wall air conditioner and runs all the time to keep the place cool. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which does help.
The queen bed in the bedroom is actually a futon, but has a nice mattress on it.
The surface is clean, but could use a deep, steam clean and caulk and paint.
Overall, it was an okay place.

This cottage was perfect for us, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Very private and a lovely outdoor seating area. The gardens out side were beautiful with lots of tropical plants and flowers. The owners were very receptive and the location was great, and only a few minutes to most of the local attractions. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I spent the weekend of my 70th bd for a girls getaway with friends in the area. I wasn’t sure about the neighborhood, but didn’t need to be, as the space is a totally private gated oasis. Super cute decor and renovation. The deck with grill and tropical plantings is charming. I slept on the sofa without pulling it out to be a sleeper as there wasn’t much room and the coffee table was heavy to move, but was very comfy. Also the fact that there was no ice maker concerned me at first but there was ice left in the bin and water bottles provided so not a problem. Nigel seemed lovely when we spoke. Would definitely return.

The cottage is a wonderful little oasis in Sarasota. The owner communication was excellent and the check in process was seamless. I arrived at night. My first impression was the cottage was clean, well appointed and quiet. In the morning I realized it was surrounded on all sides by the garden with a sweet private outside sitting area. A washer and dryer is available. The location is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown, beaches or other activities. After a busy day you can return to a quiet cottage nestled in a garden.

We loved this cottage, very nice place to stay. Also the manager of the property was amazing with us, keeping quick communication all the time. We had a situation the day we were supposed to do check in and they helped us to get another date available so we wouldn't lose our reservation. Our experience was 5 stars and we would stay there for sure in the future.

Charming cottage oasis
The cottage is very charming, warm and comfortable. We loved the back patio area/bbq area and it was a lovely spot to sit for morning coffee or end of the day glass of wine.
The cottage is furnished nicely and had everything we needed. Kitchen is well set up and we appreciated the treats that were there to welcome us. For longer stays it was handy to have the washer and dryer.
It is clear that much thought went into furnishing and setting up the cottage to be a comfortable place to stay.
We would definitely stay here again!

We spent 3 weeks in Sarasota and this place is perfectly located close to everything but still private.Nigel and Simone were great hosts and very friendly.we liked it so much we have booked it for next year

Homey cottage
We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks in this cozy, comfortable cottage. Nigel and Simone are wonderful VRBO hosts. They were very responsive and work hard to make it a comfortable stay. We loved eating on the private back patio, and using the grill. The location is perfect, easy to get downtown and to other area attractions.
