About this house rental
Villa Björklöven is a holiday home for the discerning guest. Built in 2011 according to the latest standard, it fulfills (almost) every wish: underfloor heating and triple glazing made the interior work possible up to the roof. You will immediately feel comfortable in the airy and bright rooms. The living area and kitchen are integrated and have floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. The lake view is phenomenal. Two bathrooms and the sauna are just as standard as a washing machine (with integrated dryer), dishwasher, shoe dryer, TV with preset German programs etc.
The most beautiful is the 135,000 m² nature site, which is also in the middle of the landscape protection area and extends to the lake. You only share this huge area with two other holiday homes, as well as the Villa Hultängen, which is located somewhat higher. Families who are friends can also rent two houses together. Due to the location on the lake, the property is particularly low in mosquitoes - a great advantage.
The surrounding area: Villa Björklöven can be reached via a private driveway (approx. 150 meters). The property is characterized by rich trees and only opens to the lake. Now look directly at the wonderful Rottnansee and the Gettjärns-Klättan nature reserve opposite, to which you can paddle over by canoe to hike up romantic forest paths and enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the lake landscape. But our property is also worth exploring: meadows, birch groves and groves alternate; two small torrents are not only interesting for children. The private lake shore with its 400 meters length is not common even in Sweden. From here you can see the many small bays of Lake Rottnansee, which has a bit of a fjord character. The surrounding area is little built up and gently wavy - the views of the lake are always beautiful. The next town Gräsmark is 7 km away; Here you will find everything for shopping: (supermarket, petrol station, post office).
The wider area: After two or three days of acclimatization, you will certainly feel the need for a longer excursion: The town of Sunne, 20 km away, is located on Lake Frykensee and is already ideal for more extensive 'shopping'. There is also an adventure pool with lots of slides for children, mini golf, bowling, etc. Before Sunne, also at Frykensee, there is a golf course worth seeing and the Rottneros Park, which is also worthwhile for children with its manor house and the great gardens, because here they can get rid of excess energy on the adventure playground while the parents relax in the 'Rottneros Café'. A tip for gourmets is the lonely 'Värdshus' on Lake Tväll. (Via Gräsmark towards the Norwegian border). Before you go past the highly recommended Kymmensee.

By the way: the king is almost our neighbor, his holiday home is on Lake Rottnansee! Sweden's largest arts and crafts fair takes place once a year in July in Brunskog near Arvika: traditional handicrafts in and around historic buildings are demonstrated here, and Swedish folklore groups fiddle and dance. Villa Björklöven is not only suitable for summer holidays: the nearest ski area is only 10 km away.

The property is down a short track with two other properties. These are well spaced out and grounds cleverly divided with trees and bushes to form private areas. The grounds slope down to the lake which is a couple of minutes walk and has a small boat dock. If you hire a boat you have a key for the boat padlock, battery and tiller.
There are lots of trees and the road is not at all busy so it is very quiet and relaxing. Grasmark a couple of miles north has a small supermarket and single petrol pump, Sunne is about 20 mins SE with a big supermarket, shop to buy alcohol and a great fishing shop.
Down by the lake is a seating area, trampoline (which our kids loved) and play park items. The house has bbq, games, frisbees, badminton net & rackets, two bikes and a couple of fishing rods (all of this in mixed condition). As the property is off a long road we found you were either in the grounds or driving elsewhere to do things (brilliant beach at top end of lake).
The house is really well equipped and the instructions for the house are clear, do read them early on! It is clean and well maintained but like all VRBO properties cumulative annual wear means some limited mould around showers, marks on walls and little bits of damage here and there.
One key point is you need to bring your own sheets and towels, or arrange in advance for this service which I think costs €20 pp. We missed this but were saved by Christiane, thank you.

Familienurlaub Sommer 2022
Das Haus liegt sehr schön gelegen am See. Durch den Abstand und der Gestaltung des Grundstücks hat man fast das Gefühl einer Alleinlage. Die Waschmaschine inkl. Trockner hilft das Urlaubsgepäck klein zu halten. Auf Anfrage waren auch Handtücher und Bettwäsche gegen Aufpreis verfügbar, vielen Dank nochmal dafür. Für Angelausflüge ist das Ruderboot inkl. Motor zu empfehlen, da der See doch sehr groß ist. Die Kanus laden zum Erkunden des See's ein, hier empfehlen wir zeitig bei Sonnenaufgang aufzubrechen, das Wasser ist zu dieser Zeit noch spiegelglatt. Die Sauna und der Kamin runden das Bild vollends ab. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gern wieder.

Schwedischer Traum
Dieses Haus ist wirklich das bestausgestattete welches wir jemals gemietet haben. Abgesehen von der super schönen Lage am See ist es komfortabel und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich auf Anhieb wie zu Hause und wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Prima Lage in der Natur
Wir waren 1 Woche im Februar da und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Das Haus hat eine gute Ausstattung und die Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin vor Ort hätte besser nicht sein können. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu sehen und zu erkunden. Insbesondere im Februar gibt es gute Wintersportmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Schweden ein kleines abendteuer verwunschene Wälder und romantische Seen
Es war unser erster Aufenthalt und Urlaub in Schweden.
Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen auf einem Grundstück mit eigenem See Zugang.
Das Haus war sauber und ordentlich und für diese Jahreszeit gemütlich warm. Fußbodenheizung und Kamin.
Da wir gerne wandern müssen wir ein bisschen Kritik üben.Um gute Wanderwege zu erreichen muss man leider immer mit dem Auto fahren.
Doch genug der Kritik wir würden gerne sehr gerne wiederkommen für ein Sommer Urlaub.

Kann man nur weiter empfehlen!
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist modern und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Das Grundstück ist riesig, sehr schön gelegen und auch dort gibt es viele Möglichkeiten sich aufzuhalten, Feuer zu machen oder sich einfach nur hinzusetzen. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen. Leider war eine Woche viel zu kurz um das ausreichend zu genießen... Vielen Dank!

Empfehlung! Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Check-In und Vorabinfos sind umfangreich und vorbildlich. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Die Gegenstände und Geräte sind perfekt in Schuss gehalten und ohne Einschränkungen nutzbar (Küche, Kamin, Sauna, Kanu/Boot, Fahrräder, etc.). Wir würden JEDERZEIT wiederkommen! Danke Christiane.

Everything perfect
A specious, wonderfully kept, luxury cottage that offers everything one can possibly need, on absolutely amazing location. Breathtaking view on the lake and hills covered with pine forest directly from your bedroom and living room. A children room with a sleeping loft, sauna. Swings, slide, glider and sleds as well as board games available for children. Grill next to the house. Fishing equipment also available. Huge property that stratches to the beautiful lake where one can find a grilling place, table and bench to enjoy the view. A creek running next to the property, creating a pleasant, almost meditative sound of running water. Beautiful nature with many organized hiking tracks, some of them was managed even by our 5 years old. We hired many cottages over the years and I am quite demanding guest but this is by far the best cottage we stayed in. Thank you Christiane for this wonderful experience!

Das Haus hält, was es verspricht. Wir konnten uns echt gut entspannen. Ruhige Lage, das Haus hat alles, was man braucht, hübsche Aussicht...
Außerdem ist uns aufgefallen, dass das Haus perfekt für Familien mit Kindern geeignet ist, so gibt es beispielsweise eine Rutsche und andere Spielgeräte auf dem Grundstück.

Das Ferienhaus hat eine tolle Lage und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt,wir hatten eine sehr erholsame und entspannte Woche mit allem Komfort. Schweden von seiner schönsten (See)Seite
Wir waren zu viert für eine Woche in der Villa Björklöven und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Grundstück ist für ein Ferienhaus unvergleichlich groß und schön. Die Lage ist ruhig und wenig touristisch, so haben wir es uns auch erhofft. Der Kontakt mit Frau Peters war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir konnten unsere Buchung aus dem Frühjahr problemlos in den Herbst legen. Die Landschaft ist schwedentypisch wunderschön und das Haus schafft einen behaglichen Hafen um Värmland zu erkunden. Klimatisch ist das Haus großartig und die Ausstattung ist (fast) perfekt. Die Raumaufteilung ist super auch für mehr als vier Personen geeignet und für Kinder sind der Garten und das Spielversteck über der Sauna wirklich ideal. Wir möchten uns herzlich bedanken und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Schönes Haus mit atemberaubendem Grundstück
Das liebvoll eingerichtete und gestaltete Haus beeindruckt sofort durch seine außergewöhnliche Lage und das atemberaubende Grundstück mit Blick auf den See. Es bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt (z.B. eine Feuerschale, einen Grill, eine Feuerstelle am See, eine kleine Sauna, einen Kaminofen und deutsches TV). Neben einer schönen Terrasse kann man es sich auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück gemütlich machen. Zur sportlichen Betätigung stehen ein Trampolin, Kanus und (2) Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Ein besonderes Highlight ist das mietbare Motorboot, mit dem man den fjordartigen Rottnan-See erkunden kann, an dessen Nordufer sich ein großer, feinsandiger Badestrand befindet.
Die Umgebung eignet sich besonders für Wanderliebhaber sowie zum Angeln (Angeln sind vorhanden). Abseits touristischer Sehenswürdigkeiten findet man Ruhe und Erholung in der Natur.

Perfekter Urlaub
Ein wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Blick auf den See erwartete uns bei der Ankunft. Das Haus selbst war sehr sauber und so eingerichtet, dass es einem an nichts fehlte. Und ich meine tatsächlich an nichts - Messerschärfer, Eierkocher, Bügelbrett, alles Dinge, die ich sonst in keiner Ferienwohnung vorfand. Die Sauna war abends ein Genuss!
Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war immer nett und sie antwortete sehr schnell.
Da das Wetter auch noch mitspielte, war es rundherum ein perfekter Urlaub!
