About this house rental

Our home is relaxing and comforting -- full of large windows overlooking the Gorge, with an endlessly changing view of mountains, river and sky. There is a claw-foot tub on the main floor and large sliding glass doors that lead to the terrace. We have furnished the home with the idea of practical luxury in the back of our minds. Sumptuous but casual -- comfortable as can be.

The large stone terrace that overlooks the Gorge is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, an afternoon meal or an evening BBQ. There are three additional and separate stone patios along the cliff (which spans the entire Northern edge of our property), each of which give unique perspectives of the Gorge. Regardless of the season or time of day, keep your eye out for bald eagles.

Absolutely no elopements, weddings, or events without prior approval. There is an extra event fee associated with using our property for events.

Also no professional or commercial photo shoots allowed on the property without prior approval.

Absolutely stunning property and views. Claire was extremely hospitable and always available fo anything we needed. Five stars.

I can not say enough about this property. It was everything and more. The owner Claire was very nice and accommodating and if we needed anything she was right there. The house and views were amazing. Plenty of room for my family of 4 my mom and dad as well as my 92 year old grandma. Perfectly located and the views amazing. I just can't say enough about this place. A little slice of heaven. If we come back we will definitely rent here again. We spent an entire week at this house and I did not want to leave. We were very pleased!! A great time had by all!!

In 30 years of going to Hood River this vacation rental has the best environment and views of the Gorge. It is well maintained. We will be back.

Absolutely Breath-taking Views of the Columbia River. The pictures on this website do not do this beautiful house justice--much larger interior than we thought it would have, gorgeous well sized kitchen, stone-paved shower with river view. Large screen TV, baby grand piano, plus gorgeous well-furnished living room with huge glass windows for the view. Huge patio space with hot tub overlooking THE best view of the river valley, not to mention plenty of comfortable patio seating with fire hearth. Beautiful mermaid statue and small pond out front. Our host was excellent, made wonderful recommendations for our stay and took great care of us. The only downside I would have to say is the master bedroom, which is small, but still has a fabulous view of the river. Great location on the outskirt Hood River, easy assess to local beer taprooms, wine tasting, downtown shops, and waterfront beach park. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Just Beautiful.
