Dock was great with easy lake access. Great layout for two tamiles to enjoy. Responsive caretakers and well stocked kitchen for dining at home. Would happily stay again!

From the moment we pulled up we knew we were going to have a great stay! The pictures do not do the home justice! We stayed for 2 weeks and were very comfortable in the home and enjoyed the ample bedrooms and baths for our family of 5. We worked remotely while there and went on many hikes and fishing trips! I would highly recommend this space to anyone who is considering visiting Moosehead Lake! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The property was beautiful, quiet, and in a great location to "get away" from the world. We spent a fair amount of time on the dock and porch. The kitchen was nice and spacious as well. The only complaint we have is an odor in the house upon entry and if the windows were closed for long periods of time, but opening the windows to circulate the air resolved it quickly.

There was an issue with the number of beds, but the Caretaker resolved it before all the guys arrived.
We had a great time! The cabin in beautiful. Everything worked as it should. Could not have asked for better weather for snowmobiling and ice fishing.
The fish even cooperated.

This property was nice and the cabin was as well. Plenty of sleeping spots in the house allowed my larger party to be all in one location. Plenty of shade in the backyard provided some relief from the hot sun.

Perfect Mountain Lake Getaway
We traveled with our family and grandma, looking for a relaxing and remote getaway. The cabin was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Location on the river was perfect to dock our pontoon and gave us easy access to the lake. Kids loved fishing and swimming off the dock. Great vacation!

The log cabin is amazing! Beds are comfortable and the cabin is beautifully decorated. Comfy furniture. We had everything we needed. It was the perfect setting for our ATV vacation. Easy access to the trails and good riding for the whole family. The hike down the stairs to get to the private dock on the river was a little misleading. 63 stairs down to get to the river and 63 stairs up to get back to the cabin. Even our 11 yr old son had to take breaks to get up the multiple flights of stairs. We had an inflatable canoe however could be difficult for anyone to get a regular canoe or kayak down and up the stairs. No "waterfront" views. Great vacation!

Beautiful Rockwood camo with easy access to Moosehead Lake and boat rentals
Great property for a medium sized group. The dock is probably the highlight, but the cabin is well built and charming. Kitchen is well setup, and the grill works great. Walls between. Rooms are a little thin of you are a light sleeper, but the beds are all comfortable.

Beautiful Cabin Worked Out Perfectly
We enjoyed our stay for a weekend of snowmobiling. The cabin was perfect; beautiful cabin, lots of parking space, perfect location for trail access, very roomy, clean, great condition and well appointed. Property manager was very prompt to answer questions beforehand. Enjoyed watching the deer every morning while drinking our coffee!

Beautiful home on Moose River
We go to Rockwood every year in May to celebrate my son's birthday. This property was extremely comfortable and homey. We had very cold weather (it snowed) and it was so lovely to have a fire in the great fieldstone fireplace. The fish were biting so my son was happy. The caretaker left us plenty of nice dry wood. I would definitely recommend this property for a family get away.

Perfect for snowmobile group!
This cabin was perfect for our group of 4 couples! Four bedrooms gave each couple our privacy, but the spacious kitchen/living area was perfect for spending time as a group.
A big plus was the heated gear room to take off helmets and snowmobile gear so we didn't drag snow into the house- and our gear was always dry and warm by the next morning.
Cabin was CLEAN! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Linens and towels were clean, beds were comfy.
Highly recommend,we hope to stay again!!

Had a great time!
Our stay was great! There were 11 of us, 8 adults and 3 kids. We all fit into this cabin just fine! We enjoyed being about to relax on the porch, down on the dock, going out on the ATV trails, swimming, boating, fishing etc. The cabin has everything you'll need for cooking! Everything was well kept and clean. We knew about the stairs down to the water from the description and other reviews, but wow! Our legs were burning! I might not recommend for people who are post knee surgery, have asthma, or have heart conditions (which of course was the case with 3 people our group, oops!). Despite that, we had a great time and would stay here again!

Perfect Snowmobilers Getaway!
Spent 5 nights at Kineo Escape and totally enjoyed it! The house is well equipped, very clean and perfect for 6 adults. There are actually enough beds for more but having the extra space was nice. The house is around the corner from Route 66 and also has easy access to the Lake. The large driveway is also a bonus as it has plenty of room for up to 3 trailers and trucks. We had a 4 place and a 2 place and there was still plenty of room. I would definitely recommend this house.

Great Three Night Summer Stay
Clean and well maintained, well furnished, plenty of room for our group of 6, great location on Moosehead Lake. Convenient location to canoe or kayak to Mount Kineo from the west side of the lake shore.

Excellent stay on the Moose River in the spring of 2016
This is not your fathers camp in Maine. This home was excellently equipped in everyway and would be very comfortable for families of all make ups, even those with children. It was thoughtfully furnished with ample good quality beds in four bedrooms. Two full baths made it easy when everyone was trying to get ready. We cooked all of our meals in and the home had all necessary utensils pots and pans and a gas stove/microwave/dishwasher.
While the frontage is on the Moose River, its easily navigable to Moosehead, in just a few minutes. The only drawback to this set up is that at over 60 steps down to the dock from the house, you aren't close enough to see the boats through the trees. The number of steps is difficult to navigate carrying stuff to and from the boats and for older people or folks with issues with their legs going up and down the stairs cold be an issue. There are ways around that and we chose to go to the public launch a couple miles away to provide easier access. Overall we had a great time, hopefully we will return again at some point.

Great cabin
This cabin was beautiful. Plenty of space for my family of 3, actually too much space. We could have easily brought another family with us and still have room for all. It was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything you could possibly need.
I wish there was a better view of the lake. I was hoping to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy the view of the lake but you had to walk down quite a few stairs to get to the water.
What would make this property perfect would be if canoes or kayaks were provided for guests to use. You could rent them nearby but it would be a lot easier if they were on the property.
The location is a bit remote but it was a welcomed break from the more populated area that I come from.
We went ATVing in nearby Greenville, went white water rafting on the Kennebec river and hiked to the top of Mt. Kineo. A fun time was had by all and we would rent this house again if we come back to the area.

Great getaway cabin for everyone!
My husband, son and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend and it was amazing. The location is wonderful and easy to find. The Cabin is incredibly beautiful, spacious and very, very clean!!! Everything looked so great when we arrived. Just pack your clothes and food and you are ready to go. Everything is very kid friendly as well (we have an almost two year old). We can't wait to come back this winter.

A GREAT GET-A-WAY CABIN!
We had a great stay at this beautiful cabin in Rockwood. The cabin is spaceous, very clean, and beautifully decorated. The layout is perfect for more than one family to stay at a time. My children enjoyed having the upstairs to themselves with their own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and small appliances that made it easy for us to prepare our meals. A fire in the fireplace made for a cozy evening. It was a great place to just relax and unwind. I'm looking forward to my next stay at this wonderful cabin.

Beautiful cabin, but it advertised internet and there was NONE! We assumed internet meant wifi, but we were told by the owner that there was only dial up, yet we were never given access to it either, just told of a place down the road we could go to for wifi. Also, for the rather high price per night there is no washer or dryer and the closest laundromat is 1/2 hour away, which became a problem when we were only given 1 towel per person for the week. Many posted signs around cabin with rules, and many locked doors, which I assume have a washer and dryer for the owner and the cleaner and all the extra linens. The refrigerator door was full of all the owner's stuff and one whole upper cabinet had their food, etc. in it. You got the feeling that you had moved into someone else's house that really did't want to rent it out. Beautiful location, but for the money there was too many issues.

This cabin was absolutely wonderful! My friends and I had such an amazing time in and around the cabin. The space we had outside was great, so peaceful! The doc area was great, and the weather was perfect everyday for us! Inside it was so spacious and gorgeous! Everything about this cabin was amazing! We are planning another trip next year with this cabin! Thanks so much for letting us rent this wonderful cabin!

We went up a few days after Christmas this year and it was a wonderful experience with the family! Very cozy cabin that fit all our family very comfortably. It was nice that was the kitchen was fully stocked and the cabin had several games available for the children to play. Beautiful fire place that kept us warm. No complaints here, hope to be back again :)

I highly recommend this cabin! It is in a great location, was immaculate and decorated beautifully. The fireplace and wood floors were gorgeous and it is right next to the water and mountains. The front porch and outdoor fireplace were enjoyed by all. I can't believe I lived in Maine my whole life and never went to Moosehead- we are definitely going back! There is so much to do, no matter the season…..
