About this house rental
Beach and boat - a dream, a combination, which is hard to find. We offer you both, without getting into the car! The villa Bayside-Beach sits on an 1100m property at the exit of a channel overlooking the bay. Being located in the best residential area of Fort Myers Beach, the fantastic and almost never ending beach is only a few minutes away.
Only in 2009 the house was refurbished with much passion to detail and resulted in a friendly upper ambient. The large, light-flooded living spaces offer a wonderful view on the heatable pool and the tropical garden.
The bar of the exclusive open kitchen with adjacent living room features a pool table and invites to chat and stay.
If you should plan a trip by boat, the open sea is hit within a few minutes. Let a beautiful day of holiday end with a drink at the pool or enjoy a picturesque sunset with a dreamlike stroll on the beach.
Outer area:: Fairly quick you’ll realize that you spend most of your time outside the house. That’s why we attached great importance to the garden, the pool and its surrounding area. In the garden you’ll find palm trees citruses and other tropical greenery. In summer it’s “Mango Time” so you should lighten the huge mango tree from some of its tasteful fruits.
On the big roofed terrace you’ll find some nice teakwood furniture with 6 chairs. During midday sufficient amount of shade is provided.
The pool is big enough to sport around. Next to the pool 4 sunbeds are available and invite to eat your mango while lazing in the sun. Since we have no cage you can enjoy a clear view on the bay. With some luck you will witness dolphins swimming by.
In the evening you’ll appreciate the warmth of Florida while having a real BBQ with famous American steaks. Alternatively you can enjoy the pool being illuminated with selectable colors or simply reward yourself with a drink on a sunbed watching the starry sky.
Island life and shopping: The villa is located in the centre oft the island. A super market (Publix) is distant only a few minutes. Additionally there is a place to hire bicycles or scooters as well as various small shops. If you want to go out dining there is plenty of possibility in the immediate vicinity; even to sit outdoors which is not so usual in Florida.
The snow-white beach – about 11km long – is reached within a few minutes. At the beach you will gaze upon the famous islands of Sanibel and Captiva.
Just a few kilometres separate you from the superb beaches of Lovers Key with the Carl E. Johnson State Park. Here you can expect lonely beaches, clear sea waters and plenty of sea shells.
You can get to Fort Myers or Naples with the car within 30 minutes. It’s worth it checking out the Edison Museum in Fort Myers.
Within 15 minutes driving time you get to Tanger Outlet Mall. It’s also nice to visite the new Coconut Piont Mall or the Miromar Outlet Mall both close to Bonita.
Information for boater: You would like to rent a motor boat? Go for it! No boat driving license is needed. You can even pick up your friends or friends from the villa’s boat dock. The location of villa Bayside-Beach is characterized by its perfect bridgeless link to the open sea. In less than a minute you are in Estero Bay already and here you go. Since our house is located on the island’s centre, you can take either the northern or the southern waterway scooting off to the Golf of Mexico. The choice is yours…
Several Marinas serve Fort Myers Beach: The Snook Bight Marina sits right behind the Publix only a few minutes away from the house. The Fish Tale Marina is about 2km south. If you wish so, the boat will be shipped right to the house’s dock from where you immediately can start your adventure.
If you only want to start your marine career, the pontoon boat with 115PS is a good choice. Have an easy time feeling the refreshing fair winds while cruising the bay and discover some of the surrounding islands.

We had a wonderful time at Wilma and Manfred home.

This property is so comfortable and beautifully decorated that it was hard to leave. Outdoors included an inviting pool and wonderful landscaping. The flowers were so beautiful. We were able to see a dolphin swim up the canal. The home included everything you could possibly need. We will miss this property and hope we will be able to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had the best vacation ever. This rental was absolutely beautiful. There is nothing bad to say about this house. The location, cleanliness of the home, outdoor grounds, accommodations, pool, amenities, etc., was beyond what we could have expected. The house was stocked with everything we could ever need above and beyond!! Every day we saw dolphins swimming by the canal, we also saw a manatee and a sea turtle! This was one vacation we never wanted to end and were sad to leave! We hope to come back and rent again! Thank you for everything!!!!!

Loved our stay at this home! Super clean and beautifully furnished! The kitchen had everything you could ever want! We especially enjoyed the pool table and of course the outdoor pool. Bedrooms are spacious and each has its own bathroom. Property manager and the owner were super responsive. One thing to be aware of, which was disclosed ahead of time, is that even though the house has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps six, the price advertised is for 4 people. We had to pay extra for a fifth person. Also be aware that the fed is in Euros and you will have to pay a conversion fee. Even so, I would definitely stay here again.

Hope to be welcomed back sometime in the future.

Terrible experience not sure where to start I guess the beginning.
First of all property manager sent his wife the second day because we arrived at the property at 9 pm . We had to wait on her that day which cut into our beach time.
And unfortunately she knew little to nothing about the property.
Then the refrigerator wasn’t working, I called the owner she cried I had to calm her down. She went on about I’m so sorry you don’t like my property. After calming her down and explaining that it’s the refrigerator we need fixed (because ice cream was melting) she said what to you want me to do? I responded by please call a repair man. She assured me that there was never a complaint regarding the refrigerator. She did call sears and sears came out and said that they contacted the insurance (American something) the insurance according to the sears guy said they had replaced so much they would just replace the entire refrigerator. That was the last we heard and had to deal with the refrigerator not freezing or staying cold enough. We had to wait on sears to come which wasted yet another beach day!
Then the dishwasher didn’t work the owner nor the property manager was able to explain how to get it to work. My husband figured it out and you do have to flip the electric switch behind the dishwasher. However it still did not drain .
Then the air conditioning would not keep the house under 80 degrees with all doors and curtains closed. My husband is a professional HAVAC guy and the issue is the unit is to small for the house. I tried to help the owner out and let her knows this, however she got upset again.
JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT COULDNT GET WORSE!!! The neighbor yelled at us and threatened to SHOOT US. YES I SAID SHOOT US!!!
I called the police of coarse they came out and told me there’s nothing they can do. Yes there’s a police report which is public record. This happened the 2 nights prior to our departure. We had one night in between we had to stay after the DEATH THREAT! We stayed up late to be aware of the neighbor.
We told the property manager this he made fun of us. We told the owners of this and were brushed off!
We wanted to get out fast the last day and to the airport and safe. There’s a cleaning fee at the end of 200 so I told them to keep my 500 deposit.
Since this we have been harassed by the male property owner demanding another 1000 for cleaning fee. I took pics and video on our departure.

This property is well kept inside and out. The open pool area and landscaping are beautiful and spacious so we spent much of our time there. The salt water pool is superior to chlorine and the lounging chairs were very comfortable. The kitchen was amply stocked with everything we needed and the bathrooms were clean. Having the option to close off the area underneath the balcony in the back is very helpful when it rains hard.
The only drawback was some extra fees associated with cleaning and electricity use that weren't in the original booking amount.

As far as the home, this home was perfect. Lovely landscape, pool, dock and canal. We were cut short of our vacation as this world pandemic closed all beaches, restaurants, etc. We made the best of our stay as the weather was perfect! Would definitely rent again.

This home is an unbelievably perfect combination of a great house, immaculate decorating, a quiet neighborhood, and an ideal location.
Located within a bike-ride of the beach and several restaurants, this is a convenient place to stay.
The house is so warm and inviting that you'll be tempted to stay in. We made day-trips and ended each night eating fresh seafood in the fully-equipped kitchen. There is a nice room with a large TV where we caught up on movies together, and a nice table in the screened-in porch where we sat rain or shine.
One of our day trips was a fishing trip with Day 5 Charters and we got picked up directly behind the house on the canal. Another day trip, we went to the Beach Theater, an eat-in movie theater, with surprisingly good meals and drinks. Not cheap, but reasonable.
With 5 bikes, it was easy to get to the beach. You can also take a bike all the way to Times Square to avoid the $6 car parking fee. If you go to Times Square, consider eating at Smokin Oyster Brewery. Good bar with great seafood.
We can't compliment the owners enough for making such a wonderful home. This would be our first choice if we go back to Fort Meyer's Beach.

Our family of 5 spent a week at the villa and it was spectacular. Bike rides to the beach (lots of toys in the garage for use!), splashing & floating around in the pool, afternoon naps in cozy beds and big dining spaces allowed for the perfect gathering spot. If we weren't moving to the location already, we'd be clamoring to come back again and again.

We and our two friends stayed for two weeks at the end of June and absolutely loved everything about the Villa and Fort Myers Beach.
The Villa is situated mid island which we felt was the best area, lovely quiet road and a fantastic outlook, short walk to the beach or 5 minutes in the car to the Outrigger Beach Hotel where the beach is exceptionally wide and we used to hire Cabanas, they also have a nice Tiki bar right on the beach. Beautiful well kept gardens and we liked the fact that the pool was open rather than covered with netting and on one magical occasion whilst sitting at the end of the boat dock my wife and I watched as a large Manatee glided up to us, poked his nose out of the water, snorted and looked at us. That was a bonus on top of all the other wildlife we witnessed.
The Villa is high quality and very tastefully decorated by someone with a good eye, well equipped with everything you need for a perfect vacation. We ate out most nights and found plenty of quality restaurants. A visit to nearby Mound House to find out about the original native Americans was particularly interesting.
Great Publix supermarket just around the corner and our friend John cycled early most mornings to the pier to do some fishing.
Wilma and Manfred were great hosts and always available to contact, this was particularly helpful as we needed to reboot the router after an electrical storm in order to watch the England game on our first morning!
We can't wait to return one day.

Its only our 2nd day here, I absolutely love this house, we have been in SW Florida for 2months already but this house is so gorgeous and clean and has everything you need,,,If you are considering coming to Fort Myers Beach, this house is a must, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and such lovely gardens to sit and relax in. The sun loungers are the comfiest we have been on,,,just everything is spot on...Used the BBQ tonight - our chicken was great,,,as expected or was it the cook??? Anyway, 5 stars all the way for this place, love it.

We stayed in this lovely home from the 3rd July - 17th July 2009 and were very sad to come back to England. My family and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to holiday in Florida - Fort Myers Beach. This was the first time we have rented a home in Florida, usually we rent a hotel suite. However, after our wonderful stay at this home I don't think we will rent a hotel room again.
The owners are lovely and kept in contact with us in the lead up to our holiday. Wilma was even kind enough to sort out the delivery of a rented baby cot for us to use. The owners have also appointed a local house manager who is in contact with you should you ever need any help with the house.
The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to enjoy your time there. The pool is lovely and we loved spending time in it with our 18 month old daughter.
The gardens are lovely and the mango fruit tree was delicious.
On a few occassions we were lucky enough to see dolphins in the water beside the house. That was an amazing experience.
The house is within 5 minutes walk of the lovely white sand beach. We spent most days by the pool because it was such a lovely place to be.
The outlook from the house to the bay is beautiful and it is such a peaceful area.
The Master bedroom is huge with a large walk in closet and large ensuite bathroom. The balcony from this room has spectacular views of the bay to wake up every morning to.
The 2nd bedroom was used by my sister who loved having her own ensuite bathroom.
The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds and was large enough for us to fit the baby cot.
The downstairs lounge area is perfect for watching a movie or reading a book on the comfy seating area. It also has WiFi internet access so we packed our laptop and emailed pictures of us on holiday to family and friends.
The kitchen has all the appliances and tools you need to make it feel like you are still at home. The utility room has a huge washing machine and tumble dryer which was perfect because I had lots of baby clothes to wash.
There is a lovely dining area by the pool as well as a barbeque grill which we enjoyed using several times.
You are only a few streets away from the local Publix supermarket to stock up on all your groceries.
You are well located to visit all that Fort Myers Beach offers from this home.
I hope that you book this home for your holiday and have as much fun as we did. I will be very jealous.
