I would not go there again needs updateing and a good cleaning

My sisters and cousins go away once a year. This was the best place we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be booking it again for next year. It felt like home away from home.
6.0 / 10.0
While the house was big enough to accommodate six of us, the basement was pretty much off limits because of an INTENSE and nauseating musky/ moldy odor. The grounds were messy and disorganized, with an assortment of chairs and tables, and an old rusty tractor was parked by the driveway. The lake is actually a cove that is too murky to swim in, and it was a challenge to get the kayaks past the mud. Lastly, and most alarming, there was black mold in the bathrooms, and in general, the place didn’t feel clean.
While the check in and pre arrival details were clear, and the owner was very nice (even letting us check in early), we won’t be staying there again for the reasons stated.

The house was great with many amenities for vacationers. Our family had a wonderful vacation and it was a bonus to be able to bring our boat and dock it on the property. The owners were very nice and thoughtful as well, leaving my husband and I nice new coffee mugs as a gift. This was a great vacation place I would highly recommend.

My kids and their families, grandkids we spend a week together. It is such a joy and gland we started this a few years back. We have tried other properties one on Frye Island
and have agreed this rental was all it said it was. Close to town and water.

Dock- can’t swimming and could not kayak, the owners said Iowa water levels.
Kayaks and paddle boat needs to be clean and updated.
Fire pit is great! Chairs need to be replaced. Some are broken.
Decking is great and screen in area was nice.
The house-
Great room with living room, dining room, and kitchen very workable.
Bedrooms upstairs- 3 queens and a bunk bed ok.
Bathrooms upstairs- one tub, one shower doable.
Downstairs-
One bedroom with two bunk beds and one large bathroom with shower, washer and dryer, sink, urinal.
The W/D and shower stall is on a lifted area like a step.. It need a red lip and a hazard sign. I fell off this Step. Thank goodness I was ok.
Also, we talked to owners about the mildew/mold downstairs. They said we needed to use the dehumidifier. No. My husband has been in construction. Something needs to be done like seal the concrete downstairs.
In summary, I would not rent this place again. It was very dusty and dirty. We had lived in Maine for 30 years, this experience has made me think we don’t want to rent any camps. Went you put that much money, to rent a camp it could be clean and updated.

Great place for family fun. Downstairs “suite” was great for the baby and parents.
The two dogs were very comfortable on the spacious deck. The place was very well stocked with basic supplies. We would gladly return to this Sebago Cove rental.

The absolute BEST place to stay for family.
Our 4 day stay for our family ( adults and toddlers) was absolutely fantastic thanks to the amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure our little ones had everything they needed to have a great stay which made it even better for their parents and us as grandparents. The house itself was very comfortable for 8 of us and it literally had everything we needed. The property had so many things to keep us all busy and beautiful spots to chill, do nothing and enjoy the views. I would highly recommend this property and we can't wait to visit again!

Great house
We really loved the house and it was more spacious than we anticipated. The fire pit area was nicely set up and we enjoyed it most nights. We brought a boat and also enjoyed being able to use the dock. The neighborhood was quiet and private enough to enjoy time outside. Janet and Rick were excellent hosts.

Tried the paddle boat and got all tied up with growth. Neighbor has outdoor bar with concert size speakers ! Not a place to relax. Not worth the money spent!

We had a great time but didn't find the property as clean as I would expect. Everything you needed was there and the property owner was very nice.
I might suggest that they fix the dock..wasn't very safe.

Perfect house great spot!
The house was perfect! We had 2 families and everyone had there own space. They really thought of everything you’d need inside and out! Janet called us before our stay and went over everything, check in/out process so easy. The home was clean and very pet friendly! The kitchen had everything you’d need. Beautiful deck that is gated on both sides, which was perfect for our dog. We brought our boat, and that worked out great as they have a dock and launched just down street. Also,, having the kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards there was great! The fire pit had plenty of seating for all of us and they brought us plenty of wood. House is on a good spot on Sebago Lake. Janet & Rick were very accommodating! We all enjoyed our stay!!

Home away from home
Janet’s place has everything we needed for a long weekend at the lake. She gave us a call ahead of time to give us an overview of the rental, address any questions, and walk through the check in process.
The home was extremely clean and updated with all the amenities of home - plus lots of fun extras like Bluetooth speaker lightbulbs, a fire pit with plenty of seating, margarita machine, and a beautiful dock in Sebago Cove.
She was very responsive to communication and stopped by shortly after check in to make sure we had everything we needed. I look forward to returning again in the future!

Great property with everything guests need & more!
My sisters and I rented this home for our mother's 60th birthday weekend getaway and it was the perfect spot! The house had plenty of room for all of our planned, as well as last minute guests. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils needed, there were also plenty of staple pantry items, such as spices, cooking oil, etc. The wrap around deck is a great place to hangout, and the covered/screened in section makes the deck usable in rainy weather. The deck has gates at both entrances, making it easy to keep our dog contained. The fire pit area is large, and there was plenty of space for all of us to sit around it. Jan and Rick really did think of everything that a guest might need!

Great snowmobiling
Great space for our two families--had friends and family visit and still had plenty of room to hang out. Snowmobiling access was great--wish we were able to fish outside of the house, but the next pond over was only a short snowmobile drive. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful!

Great place, beautiful place, great collaboration with the owners. They are so sweet and great to rent from. Lots of toys for kids and great outdoor space.

The hummingbirds are on the side deck of the house all day, but they were especially appreciated after a long day of activities. Unfortunately, we only had a week to partake of all the Sebago area has to offer. The house has EVERYTHING you could possibly want. A pass to Sebago State Park for swimming is included in the welcome packet. The evening campfires with the family will be remembered for a long time. We had to ask for more wood, as everyone wanted a fire EVERY night. The boats and kayaks made touring the cove very convenient. You will not be disappointed with the house or the kindness of Janet and Rich. (There is even a "treat" awaiting you when you arrive, that you take home as a remembrance of a great time on the lake. )

Couldn't ask for better hosts - excellent in spring/fall. Muddy river is a short canoe ride to big Sebago.

Great Stay!
Our family of four enjoyed five nights at this house. The house is spacious, clean, and contained more amenities than most vacation rental houses offer, from the kitchen to the outdoor grills and fire pits. The hosts were very helpful and gracious, working with us in advance and giving a tour of the property when we arrived. The location on the cove is great, as are the availability of enough boats at the house to create a regatta! We loved the fishing and boating and just hanging out. The house is also close to a town with shopping and restaurants, and within an hour's drive to Portland and coastal sights. Many thanks for a great time!

Summer stay during COVID-19
Great location with beach access and boats. I appreciated Rick & Janet's quick responses and transparency about their cleaning and cancellation process given COVID-19 concerns. Thank you for coordinating our stay at your home.

Wonderful Week
Loved it. The house filled all our needs and believe me, 6 adults and 5 kids have a lot of needs. Rick and Janet were wonderful, the house had kayaks, kitchen supplies, games and plenty of lake necessities. We had dock space for two boats and a jet ski. Wished we could stay longer!

The size of the house and location of the house on the lake were great. In my personal opinion, the house has too much clutter. There was a lot of confusion during pack up as to what was ours to bring home vs. what was supposed to stay on site. The most disappointing thing was the milfoil and inability to swim off the dock.

Wonderful Family Lake House
My family and I spent a wonderful week at Rick and Janet’s lake house. It was clear that they are experienced hosts as they truly thought of everything. Prior to our stay, they were great with communication and responding to questions. They even sent a list of local attractions. The check in process was easy and they also stopped by during our first night to make sure everything was good and to answer any questions.
The house is spacious enough for a large family. There are plenty of tv’s and other indoor fun things (air hockey table!) in case families want to split up a little. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of gadgets and having multiple bathrooms is a huge plus.
Outside of the house, the fire pit was great for evenings and we thoroughly enjoyed using the various man-powered boats during the day.
Overall, this is a great house to rent for any getaway. I’d rent it again!
