This is a one-of-a-kind, 5-bedrooms, 7-bathroom home is located on South Forest Beach. The many unique features, design elements, and fine attention to detail throughout this house will make your stay truly exceptional.
The centerpiece of this home is the 1500 square foot, screened-in outdoor living space. Take a dip in the pool 16' x 25' equipped with jets and six-foot water fountains, that can also be heated for your enjoyment. Set the mood with outdoor sound system. Around the pool, there is ample seating to relax and get warm around the unique outside firewall. You will love entertaining in your covered outdoor kitchenette with grill. Within the lanai, you can also access the upstairs living space.
This home boasts two living rooms, two laundry rooms, two kitchens and two master suites. Throughout this house you see so much personality shine through, especially at night with all the accent lightings, adds a very special feel. There is an elevator as well for your use. Whether you cannot use the stairs, or you want to load up your luggage and groceries, this is a great touch! The main floor has an open living room with lots of cozy seating and flat-screen TV. The dining area seats 10 people with additional seating at the kitchen bar. The large gourmet kitchen with Sub-Zero refrigerators and gas stove makes cooking in this house so much fun! Off each kitchen is a large screened-in porch with seating and ceiling fans to keep you cool. There are powder rooms off the living rooms as well. Each master suite opens to the pool area, and has a king-size bed, large walk-in closets, and beautiful bathrooms with heated floors!
The mid-level private suite above the garage is almost like a third house! It has two bedrooms. The first is a room with two twin beds and a private bathroom, overlooking the pool area. The second bedroom is a queen bed, in a loft, overlooking a third living room. This space has its own full bathroom as well! The hall between the two rooms has a fridge, microwave, and sink.
Take the stairs or your elevator to the second level, which is laid out almost like a mirror to the first floor. The only change on this floor is that you have an additional bedroom over the locked-out garage. This bedroom has a queen bed, two sets of buck beds, and a full bathroom. The second floor also has a balcony overlooking the pool deck.
Throughout the home, you are greeted with very nice touches. The homeowners live here half the year and have spare no expense. You are greeted by top-of-the-line appliances and updated electronics. New Sonos system throughout the house will allow you to enjoy the space to the best of your ability. This is a well-appointed property in a wonderful location. Property managers extremely responsive! Had a small issue and they had someone to the house in no time. Very easy check-in. Garage space perfect for "stuff", including yoga and batting practice :)
Our biggest complaint is the claim that this sleeps 14. The bunk room is suitable only for children under 12! My sons (17, 21) could not fit on beds. The top bunk has a labeled weight limit. Thankfully there is a giant couch on which they crafted a bed. Spent A LOT of money for 2 guests to sleep on a couch. Sleeps TEN adults comfortably.
Bathroom situation great for large number of guests. Kitchens were stunning. Surprised that it was 100% empty. Our experiences had us finding basics like olive oil, salt & pepper, etc but nothing here. I understand some wiuld prefer that.
Bath towels and toiletries provided. Nice welcome gift upon arrival. While information was accurate, printing a copy would have been helpful. QR codes are EVERYWHERE on the island. Great if you are, sadly, attached to your phone. Laminate a copy and put on each floor. So simple.
Another oddity is the number of light switches! Lots of switches, yet property so dark inside. Windows on one side of building, so we were constantly looking for light! Twin bedroom has a tiny lamp. Minimal a/c. Loft bedroom is neat space. Light switch for bed in loft area at base of spiral staircase. Odd. Design flaw rather than property management. Again, they were awesome.

The overall experience was great, we had minor concerns, however, the host was very responsive and accommodating. The location and amenities the home had to offer were exceptional. I would definitely recommend it.

We loved the house! I cannot pick one favorite spot! Once we figured out how to turn on the waterfall, jets, and heater, the pool was awesome! The jets and waterfall shower head in the showers were great. My husband uses a scooter, so the elevator (which was a must) was wonderful as it didn’t limit his accessibility. We had eight adults, so we loved the spacious hangout and eating areas. Beachside Getaways answered the two calls right away and even came to my rescue when I couldn’t figure out how to use the door code.
The only suggestion I have is the windows and exterior doors needed washing and there were some dusty areas inside. But overall, I give it a thumbs up and would stay again!

We had a great time with family. Thank goodness for the beautiful home and pool, as the impending hurricane curtailed our activities. But there was plenty of room and enjoyable pool time. I would say the only issue was first floor living room tv, which was extra difficult even with the directions in the book. All in all a wonderful place.

The place was absolutely perfect for our family and the listing is 100% accurate. The pool was by far the highlight along with the elevator and lovely appliances. The up to date technology was also wonderful. All of the mattresses were upgraded and super comfy and the fact that the bottom floor is identical to the top made it really nice because we could separate from other family. There are also two screened in porch areas on each floor as well and another living quarter with a spiral staircase, loft, kitchenette and another bedroom for two off of that. It could sleep a lot more than we expected it could. We will definitely be booking again despite our hiccup with the pool chemicals. The property management took care of everything they needed to and were very easy to communicate with through text as well no matter the time of day. We were truly grateful for our amazing experience there and words definitely can not express the great experience.

Amazing Pool
The house looks like the pictures! There were some issues that came up and it made it hard to enjoy each day, but overall we were very happy. We had a hard time figuring out how to work some of the lights (and some we never figured out). The bedrooms do not have curtains to cover the glass doors so be prepared to wake up around 6-7 am when the light shines in. None of this was a deal breaker.
The pool is AMAZING!!! Make sure you purchase a lighter for the outside fire pit. That was so amazing!!
The walk to the beach was super easy and the layout of the home is fantastic. It was a great place to enjoy some down time.

Property was amazing! Clean, accommodating to a large group, and the pool area is amazing! The kitchens are well equipped. and the management was VERY responsive when we had a problem with one of the ice makers. Location was very convenient ! Overall , a "10" for sure!!!

Friends and Family
Beautiful home!! Loved everything about this house and will be back. The two master suites kept anyone from fighting over just one. The two kitchens gave people their own space especially in the mornings. The apartment over the garage was perfect for the two teens we had with us. The pool area was just amazing, it made the trip. From the hot tub to the fire feature to the waterfall and fountains. You could even cook out there if you chose. Cant wait to go back!!

It was a breeze to rent online. The bedroom over the garage isn’t easy to get into, perfect for my high school granddaughters.

Great Home.
Our time spent at 17 Firethorn was great. The process for reserving the space was incredibly simple with confirmation received within the hour. I loved that the management company sent periodic notices about things to remember or bring, including tips and the weather. The home was a modern beauty with spacious rooms sufficient to accommodate private time as well as group fun without feeling closer in or cramped. Every possible detail was taken into consideration from the various seating options, the elevator, down to all of the available kitchen tool and utensils. Of course having two kitchens was a definite plus. The pool area is quite lovely adding a special touch to our home away from home. The two grills made it easy to accommodate all food choices when grilling and the waterfall added to the relaxing nature of the space. Of course the heated pool was perfect for evening swims after getting out of the spa. I could definitively imagine enjoying the beauty and comfort of the area in the fall and winter months as well. There were a couple of things that were annoying but not a deal breaker like the freezer not being secured properly thereby making it difficult to open the door. Also the washing machine and dryers takes forever to complete a cycle so one must be prepared and act accordingly. The sound system requires you to download an app that does not easily allow for pairing with your own device for the enjoyment of your personal music. There’s a different app to download to manage the ambience of the pool and waterfall areas which makes for a cumbersome process but certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, a very nice home with features and spaciousness to accommodate a large gathering of family and friends. If the need arose again, I would definitely rent again.

We stayed for a week in June 2020 at 17 Firethorn in the S Forest Beach area of Hilton Head. This house is everything you could want and then some. We had 5 of our family in the house and at times you could disappear without interference from others, enjoying the first class solitude to relax. The week was slightly chilly for mid-June; however the pool area came complete with a gas fire trough which blazed warm vibes. Impeccably appointed with everything you need, including in suite saunas in the two master bedrooms, this place was EXACTLY what we wanted!
Only a short 2 minute walk the the private S Forest Beach and the final two days of our stay saw temps in the mid 80’s and brilliant sunshine. Those who stayed behind in the house (ahem....moi) enjoyed a quiet day to enjoy a good book in the 72 degrees, low humidity A/C. Pure heaven for me!
Beachside Getaways promptly answers my calls when I couldn’t get the stereo system synched to my cell phone but after that Pandora streamed MY songs all day. Also very cool was controlling the pool from my cell phone with the app provided. Waterfall, lighting, deck jets, and even heater controls all at my fingertips.
Subzero fridge had plenty of room for all our libations and the abundant ceiling fans circulated all the cool, dry air keeping everyone comfortable. No one over exerted themselves...even getting the luggage up to the third floor was easy with the in house elevator!
What were the drawbacks? Can’t think of anything. My wife the chef would have preferred gas to electric ranges but they still cooked everything just fine. Bedrooms tended to let in a lot of early morning light so we were mostly up early getting a head start on the day. But different strokes for different folks.
You can’t go wrong here. The place is all that and more. Living large for a week Is definitely within your reach. What are you waiting for?

Perfect house for our group! Three Families (three generations) and we had family privacy space along with great common areas for meals and together time. The house and amenities were amazing, we never felt like we were on top of each other. We rode bikes every day and swam every day, very quiet end of the beach which was a plus also. We would definitely be happy to stay here again!
