Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood, in a great location. Short distance to supermarket, drug stores, etc...
House was stocked with all the needed amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

This home is beautiful, the cottage also beautiful and both were well supplied, comfortable, well furnished. A couple issues, one the hostess of our home was not quick to respond/communicate, there were multiple TV’s in both locations but no instructions on use especially when there are two remotes so we didn’t have use of them, no checkout instructions and when we inquired with our hostess we got no response therefore did what we want done in our homes. The property is beautiful, lots of porches with comfortable furnishings in all areas. One other item, sleeping really is for 8 adults and 6 children as the bunks are very small and stacked with 3 which is pretty high for kids trying to get into and out of bed. Overall, recommend this home….more positives and just minor negatives that easily be dealt with.

This property is advertised to sleep 14, and it can, but be aware of the $20 "extra guest" fee if you have 3 or more people in your party. Not sure why a property that can sleep 14 considers any number under the listed capacity an "extra guest" but this one does. Age of the guest does not matter either as our 11 month old was considered in this count. I understand this fee is stated in the listing but it's still, in my mind, a little deceptive considering "extra guest" typically means a guest above the capacity of the home. When asked about it host said it had to do with their profit margins. Also listing claims to be a "restricted community" but it's just the house with open access to the road. Listing states vehicle tag number and names of all guests, even minors, are required to be disclosed. Never seen this in any other property I've stayed at but host is serious about it and did not provide entry code until I relented despite me saying I was not comfortable providing names of minor children. All seemed very unnecessary to me. House itself is as advertised. No complaints about the property.

Dim lighting especially on stairs as I fell down the steps twice, just sore. TV in upstairs bedroom didn’t work. No A!C on one bedroom. No safety bars in bathroom or mat in bottom of tubs to prevent falls. My wife and I are 74 and luckily neither of us were hurt, but others will be unless these issues aren’t addressed!!! Otherwise, a very nice house.

Beautiful old trees. Home was pretty. Neighboring garage apartment had noisy children up early, but understandable children are happy on vacation! The train horns close by was annoying during the night and early morning. The owner was very nice, helpful and communication was excellent!

Four of us from around the south, stayed at this location for three nights. Perfect location for where we played. Close to restaurants and bars. House was great and Lori was a gem to work with. Will come back.

Needs some upkeep. Pictures make it look a lot bigger than it is. Owner was very responsive to the main problem we had. Master bath is thru the bunk room, not off the master bedroom. Queen bedroom bath is very small.

6 buddies in our 60’s going to FL for 5 days to get away from winter weather in NJ. Location was great, 30 minutes from Jacksonville airport and less than 30 minutes to the courses we booked. Area restaurants were also very good. House was as advertised, old plantation home, 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. House was clean and updated in several areas - layout was a bit quirky but not unusual given the age of the home. Great outdoor space to unwind after playing golf. Highly recommend to a family or group of friends.

We had an amazing stay at the Plantation House! First, the place was very clean. Also, the property had so many different places to sit and gather without feeling completely disconnected. Our family of 11 was able to gather and have dinner together, reconnect around some board games, and at night we lit a fire and had s'mores! The location was perfect as well - we were close to everything but still had that country feel. I highly recommend the property!

Great stay, clean and in good working order. Super location . quiet street but within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
Only complaints: TV operation too complicated, need written instructions.
Pillows could be upgraded.

Beautiful home with tons of character and lots of spaces for family and friends to spread out and enjoy each other's company. The home was clean and well-maintained. The cleaning crew are prompt, so make sure you are on your way out the door at checkout. Our small group of three missed that there is a $20 per night for additional guests and it's based on a two-person occupancy, so take note to avoid surprises. We had issues initially gaining access due to a sticking door, but we eventually were able to come and go without problems. Suggestions to elevate the experience would be to upgrade bed pillows.

We stayed there as a family of 7 and these are the facts of our stay. The first morning there was a roach on the kitchen counter. We had to sanitize the dishwasher three times to rid it of the pungent terrible smell before using it. This property is an office with bedrooms. We, as a family agreed, that we would not stay here again. We reached out to the owner on the first night via text message and phone call with no acknowledgement. When we reached her voicemail and we’re unable to leave a message because her mailbox was full.

Beautifully Maintained House
This is a beautifully maintained older house in a quite neighborhood with a large lot. We, four retirees, rented it in order to play the golf courses that were within 30 minutes of the house. There are several good restaurants (OP Fish House, Brewer's Pizza, La Nopalera) nearby as well as a Dairy Queen. The house was super clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable.

Nice house
Lori is great, she was available and you can tell she cares about the house and making it a comfortable stay.
The house is very large, very good for a large group. Lots of places to sit and relax and relax. You could definitely be part of a large group and still find a place to be separate and take a little alone time break! It is beautiful with very nice old woodwork and tons of character.
Two bedrooms are set up like suites with their own bathrooms. And two bedrooms upstairs share a nice updated Jack and Jill bathroom. And there is another guest bathroom downstairs. Shouldn’t end up fighting for a bathroom.
The kitchen is well appointed with a mixer and all sorts of appliances and utensils. Washer and dryer and ironing supplies.
The yard is huge with a play set/swing set and a lot of open space. There is a nice large (very heavy duty) porch swing as well as three different areas with seating on the various decks. And a charcoal grill. I have to imagine some people have weddings here, it’s definitely spacious enough and there is a wooded area behind the backyard that would be a great backdrop.
The neighborhood is really pretty with lots of amazing old trees with moss hanging off them. I take walks in the mornings and it always felt safe and friendly. There is a grocery store and a Walgreens within a few blocks. Tons of restaurants and retail all close. We found a great breakfast place called Grumpy’s close by. The pancakes were AMAZING! There was a 20 minute wait and some other people waiting said that’s common and actually maybe shorter than average.
If you have a large group and you are looking for a place to stay in Jax, this place should really be on your list.

I brought my cycling team to Orange Park for the cycling national championships. This house was great for our group. There were plenty of beds for everyone. The outside spaces on the large covered porches were the best for me. Coffee in the early AM on the front porch swing couldn't be better.Thank you Lori!
