We had a great stay. It was warmer than normal that week. The owner gave us a tip to keep the house cool - windows open at night to let the cool air in, then close them by about 11 am to keep the hot air out.

Beautiful home!
We had a wonderful stay in Victor at this Mountainside Village cottage. The home is sunny and beautiful, with large windows and high ceilings, and very clean, with every comfort provided. Love the energy-efficient design. The village has neighborhood walking paths, hiking trails up into the foothills right out the door, a fun brewery two blocks away, and is very dog friendly (has a dog beach even!) A beautiful drive into Jackson and Teton National Park, and Yellowstone beyond that. We also highly recommend both breweries in town, as well as the local grocery store.

Great place near Grand Teton
Our family of 4 really enjoyed our time at this cottage. Close to Jackson and Grand Teton. Kitchen was well stocked with various dishes and such. Nice grocery store about a mile away in Victor. We were also pleasantly surprised Bay there’s a washer and dryer in the cottage as well. We definitely recommend this one!

Online App had a problem to access
The property is comfortable, the fercilities is good, but the cleanness could be improved. Online app had a problem to access. We left the house for one week, the deposit has not been refused yet, we feel the communication with owner is not so easy

Nice house and a good value.

Fit our Needs Nicely
Good over all, and the price was right for the area. Property was as described, but picture in vrbo faces a courtyard - the approach is to the porch area with no visible address so it took us a minute to figure out if we were at the right place. Amenities met our needs but were minimal. Without being too pc, could have used a woman's touch. Only communication we received from the owner was via vrbo, although we did text.

Nice vacation rental
We enjoyed our stay at this rental property it was very well stocked up with supplies and clean. It had an awesome shady patio to unwind with at the end of a day. The location was excellent and only a few minutes walk from town. It was really quite there with little or no traffic on the village roads. The property owner however was inaccessible and never replied to messages but everything went well!

Mother / Daughter Vacation
This property was amazing and I would return!
The only down side was our locking ourselves out of the unit. The doors are in automatic lock mode unless intentionally unlocked. The handle moves even in locked position, making us think it was unlocked. A neighbor helped us out, but it started our trip off with a bit of a hiccup.
Of course, this was simply ‘user error’, but be aware.

Great stay at this house!
Great house to use as base for adventures around the Tetons. House was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Had no concerns during our stay and had a great chat w/ Larry the manager. Victor is a great community, hope to be back soon!

Quick Trip
This place exceeded our expectations. Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice at all. What a thoughtfully decorated and furnished home. Everything was very cozy and quaint and you could tell a lot of love went in to making this house a good space. We were lucky that this wasn’t rented yet when we needed a quick place to stay with our two kids. We’re going to put this one on the list now to rent every time we come in the area.

Old friends reunion
We loved our stay! The kitchen/living area are very comfortable. The kitchen had every thing we needed - we cooked two dinners. We enjoyed the antique bedroom furnishing! Beautiful drive over to the Park and Jackson Hole. The host checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed.

Mountainside is a unique housing cluster in a beautiful location. The home is comfortable and the light cation is convenient to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Huckleberry shakes at the Victor Emporium not to be missed.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. Traveled to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone from the house. Nice to come back and sit on the porch and grill. Liked being able to walk to the brewery.

A lovely rental
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Sylvia's Cottage. It is a delightful home. The best parts of the visit were the two breweries within walking distance to the home, one was 5 minutes away. Town was at most a 20 minute walk. We loved the Thai restaurant, Chaing Mai. Also breakfast at Sherwoods Post was outstanding! The Big Hole Barbecue was yummy too.
The 4 star rating was because we needed more instructions. We never did find the wifi listed in our devices. The stove might have been nice on the snowy morning we had but no instructions. Larry did respond promptly to our questions re the TV and promptly filled the propane tank. Some of his sheets need to be tossed but we did find better ones in the closet. Overall I highly recommend this home and Victor!

Super cute house
We stayed here for the 2017 total eclipse. After spending 5 nights camping in a tent in Yellowstone, this cozy house was like heaven for us. It is very comfortable and clean. The little village is well taken care of. Our host Larry, set us up with a map of the surrounding property to help us find a vantage point to watch the eclipse over Teton Valley. Everything was perfect and I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in the area. Thank you for having us!

Perfect Vacation Hideaway
We loved our vacation! This was a perfect place to stay for our family reunion trip. The house is in a beautiful location, very clean and well maintained. We loved swimming in the pond and exploring the town. There were several beautiful flat walks and more challenging hikes nearby. We look forward to staying again in the future!

We have stayed in Teton Valley many times over the years. This cottage is by far the best! First of all, the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Janine and John were very gracious. Hunter was fun to talk with. You feel like you are part of the family right away. We were allowed to bring our two dogs and they had a large field nearby to run around in and get lots of exercise. The cottage itself was very clean and inviting. The kitchen had everything one needed. After a long day photographing the area and, of course, the national parks, it was nice to collapse and watch something on the satellite TV. The beds in all of the rooms were very comfortable. It was nice to wake up to the beautiful mountains seen through the large windows. Our one regret is that we didn't stay longer this time, but don't plan on making that mistake again next year.

I was very pleased with my stay at Mountainside Village. Having stayed for almost a month, I have nothing but great things to say about the place. The attributes of the house are: centrally located, spacious, energy efficient, quiet and inviting. Even though the house is in a cluster of homes that share a common courtyard, it is surprisingly private.
One of the best parts of staying here is its location. After visiting Jackson Hole, a scenic drive through Teton Pass gets you into the valley and the town of Victor, Idaho. At first glance the town seems so small, yet it has plenty to offer. Great places to eat and the small grocery store ( Victor Valley Market) has everything you need plus some of the best meats one could possibly ask for. The next town over, Driggs, is 8 miles away and larger than Victor. If you combine the two towns there is something for everyone.
Finally, dealing with Larry was great. He is the architect behind the village and has created something special. There is a mix of different styles of homes and they are tastefully done. I highly recommend the place and the awesome people in the valley.

We had a wonderful gathering at the cottage. We filled it up with wedding guests coming and going, and the location was perfect for us. Thanks for the hospitality!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked (only complaint was dull knives, but as a former chef, husband always carries a knife and a steel). We enjoyed grilling and eating on the back porch with a lovely view of the mountains. We frequently walked out the back door and hiked up into the hills where we had great views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Enjoyed biking to the market, walking to the brewery, finding fun mountain bike trails within biking distance. Biking at Grand Targhee was awesome.
We highly recommend a stay at this cottage.

Great cottage, great location. 30 Minutes to Jackson, closer to great fishing, hiking---not too expensive.

A beautiful cottage, nicely designed with lots of light. I liked the art by Shannon Troxler on the walls. The whole village has a nice feel; the pond is inviting and there is great hiking nearby. Good restaurants, too. Good neighbors as well.
New beds have been obtained since our last visit! Very comfortable.
10.0
Nice cottage with everything you need. Warm and airy with big windows and bright, comfortable kitchen, dining and lounge. Close to Teton Pass, a convenient walk to Grand Teton Brewery and only a bit further to the restaurants and shops of Victor (Victor Valley Grocery is well stocked). We were very happy with the rental and intend to rent again. Minor criticisms: the wi-fi speed, bandwidth and spread is excellent but unsecured. Personal internet security should therefore be at coffee shop levels; Door/lock security is very light so I'm assuming local crime is low. Caution when leaving valuables perhaps; Renting through VRBO was reliable but subsequent links to information were empty; Window coverings could be improved, upstairs for light, ground floor for privacy; Satellite TV package is complex and dreadful (like most).
None of these criticisms are anything other but suggestions. They do not detract from the strong basic appeal of the cottage as an excellent vacation rental.

It was a great cozy house. We stayed over Thanksgiving break and got some skiing in! I Would recommend to anyone! I would have to agree with other comments about the blinds in the upstairs room...the street light is brutal and adding curtains would help. But overall it was an a great place to stay!

We spent 4 days at this Victor, ID cottage with our family of 5 which includes 3 small children. We had a wonderful stay and would go back again. The cottage is located in a planned community called Mountainside Village. It is not fully developed but the area where we stayed is well maintained.
The cottage itself is wonderful. Nicer than our own home in terms of architectural design and function. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a nice bathroom. One bedroom has beautiful views of the valley. There is a smaller bedroom downstairs and another nice bathroom. The kitchen is excellent and fully stocked.
A highlight for us was the village pond which is a short walk away. Our children loved swimming in it. It is cold but the adults got in as well and swam around. We were there every day.
Victor is small with a few nice stores and a kids' fishing pond that is well stocked. We caught at least a dozen trout in about two hours. Victor is about 30 minutes from Jackson and an easy drive. (Though be careful of the speed trap on the way to Jackson...We tacked on an unexpected vaction expense vacation thanks to one of Wyoming's finest.)
We could only think of two ways to improve the cottage. The windows are large and wonderful, but the blinds let in sunlight too early in the morning. And the beds have nice linens, but the mattresses are a little lopsided and not great.
All in all, we would recommend this cottage to a friend and will be back again.
