Apartment A, 41 Westcenter Street, Winooski, VT. This is an entire brand new apartment that is around 400 square feet. This new apartment is located in an old 1850s mill building. The apartment has a new modern cool look. It has a full kitchen and acid washed concrete floors. It is ideally located in the center of Winooski walking distance to everything including several great restaurants and brew pubs. There is a river walk about one mile long. The apartment is only a few minutes drive to Burlington or about a 20 minute walk. The apartment has new furniture and has dedicated free parking as seen in listing photos.

Small studio apartment was great for our needs. Very affordable, reasonably clean, and close to Burlington. Our only issue is the mattress desperately needs to be replaced (collapsed in the center). I'd definitely rent it again once that's addressed.

The upstairs neighbors were night owls. The tap dancing/clogging sounds started about 10 pm. By 2 am they moved on to vacuuming. The fire alarm randomly went off throughout the night. The cars revving engines and squealing tires went all night. The mattress was quite old and lumpy. The shower only got hot twice during our week stay and 1 day the shower didn't work at all. No one responded to our messages of assistance.

Every dish or utensil we tried to use was filthy The bathroom walls were filthy The bedroom walls were filthy The couch was filthy The tv had no signal Coffee table & eating table were broken Bedding looked filthy 2 stained towels only provided Inside of refrigerator was filthy Entry way floods All the trash in the parking lot was overflowing & smelt horrible Upstairs neighbors pounded on the floors all hours of both day & night Strange man in a truck in parking lot parked next to us blatantly staring one morning at us .. he was out there for hours Same strange man next morning out on curb smoking staring at us with a frantic female ..,no truck this time Just an unpleasant experience overall & pretty sure there is a cleaning fee attached to the price too …I vrbo frequently & would never stay here again

Good walkable location seemed safe for parking etc. 3 towels for the entire stay no wash cloths hand towels 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towel tv and internet did not work but it was clean. Overall if you are there for a few days max it can be managed more and you would need to find a laundromat and do shopping for basics and rely on cell and hotspot. It was not easy getting a response before or during although the access code for the flat was given in time for check in.

We liked its proximity to UVM. However would have been nice to have some comunication with the owner. The bed is a double it was comfortable but small for 2 people. There are not regular drinking glasses. My husband used a coffee mug the entire time. It would have been nice to have a book of directions. Etc about the apartment. I was concerned about renting from the previous reviews, but it was perfect for what we needed..It was very cost effective.

Exterior and entrance shabby. No real lawn care. Cook ware on the range. Crumbs in the toaster. Insects and foreign objects in bathroom drawers. Remote Xfinity did not work. All we had was wifi. No local stations. No instructions for TV. Noisy upstairs tenants.

For the location & price, this place is wonderful! It was just 1 1/2 blocks from the circle in Winooski. The Mule Bar & Our House were awesome! We were able to check in early which was greatly appreciated! The only comments I’d make is the bed is a little tight as it’s a full & the toilet (macerating) was noisy if you had to go in the middle of the night. But for our 5 night stay, it was exactly what we needed!

Says brand new, definitely not!! Trash was piled HIGH behind building. Outside needs upkeep, could hardly get to the door, dead bugs, disgusting. Very impressed though with cleanliness.

The place was perfect for us. Really very impressed with the dark roast Starbucks for the Keurig. Plenty of room for the two of us to spread out and even walkable (2 miles) to downtown. Also, Winooski has some great restaurants and bars too. Thanks!

upon entering first thing noticed was 2 cabinet doors on lower kitchen cabinets were missing. The apartment was clean and neat and in a good location. We had indicated that there would be 3 people staying at the property, but there were only 2 towels furnished and no washcloths, sent email to owner with no reply, ended up purchasing. Also, bathroom door closed with difficulty and had could not be locked. No privacy in bedroom as it was open to kitchen and living room. Pillows were minimal and not comfortable.

Let me start with the positives.. Host was patient and quick to respond when I had the wrong address and got lost… all my fault. There was coffee. If you like bare bones accommodations and are not a light sleeper then this listing is for you. Listing said “brand new apartment” but I’m not sure how recent that was! The pictures on the site are deceiving. There were kitchen cabinet doors missing and the floors were worn. The bed in the “bedroom” was the only thing that could fit besides the turned wooden box with a lamp on it. The water for the toilet was run with some kind of loud pump. At 2am I was startled out of a light sleep by a train blowing its horn as it passed through the town. The same happened at 4am. At 9am there was loud, wall shaking drilling and banging as a new hood was put over electric meters … the workers did not show any respect to the tenants of the building. I took pictures and even recorded the noise! I assumed that soap, shampoo, amenities would be provided. I am used to rentals which do provide these. My fault for not checking on this. Bring a washcloth and hand towel with you as only two small towels are provided. I was booked to stay three nights and I only stayed one. I found a hotel to go to. This tripled the cost of my trip but I could not stay there… I am happy that other people gave this place 4 and 5 stars… but for me, I was very uncomfortable in the space. The host was very nice, I must say again.

Apt # was changed last minute, place had not been cleaned, half eaten food in freezer, personal items left etc., on-site washer/dryer was out of order, keurig not working, mattress slumped in the middle, missing door on kitchen cabinet. So disappointing asked host about issues upon check in he said throw away items left, no TP he said get them myself from on-site storage and the sheets should be clean. Really!! I wasn’t expecting the ritz but surely I didn’t expect dirty and dismal so let down. -2

We loved that it was walkable distance to Winooski town and bunch of food places. Also was nice we could take a cheap Uber to Burlington! Place was clean and well kept! Also had a Kurig with K-Cups (which I loved). Would definitely recommend and will be personally coming back when we decide to come back to Vermont!

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2 years ago when we first started dating and loved it. It’s in the perfect area to walk to cool spots and the place itself has everything you need and it’s clean!!! Can’t wait to stay here again :)

Price, with cleaning fee & tax, was right at my Special Conference rate; but to have my own private haven 7 minutes away was wonderful. The perfect amount of room, furnishings tidy, warm and interesting (non-hotel drab) for simple backdrops for a client meeting via Zoom. Everything I needed for my solo stay and actually far less hassle than staying at the Conference hotel (Doubletree Hilton). Hosts easy to communicate with and have this place dialed in - great instruction sheet with interior & locale info that any ***** concierge would be proud of!

Not what I expected. No local tv. Moldy area in shower. Rug with 2 major tripping areas. Bathroom door couldn't close. Dust all over the heating units - I ended up with major sinus issues. Disgusting stains on bath towel. Very challenging area to get to. Crazy streets in area. Owner and son were ok. Trash and recycling dumpsters over loaded and never emptied. I have photos of issues if anyone cares.

Overall we were pleased with our stay. I was glad to have a kitchen with most of the supplies we would need. There were a lot of kitchen utensils, but no spatula which I thought would be considered basic. Also there were no plain drinking glasses. The host answered my inquiries promptly x2 but then when I asked for instructions for the TV and 2 remotes I received no reply. The neighborhood has lots of restaurants within a couple blocks of walking and a walking path near a river and falls. I would recommend this property.

The owner had great communication with me when I could not access my welcome letter for the entry code. Fast response from him!!! The place was so nice! Plenty of room for two people! Had everything we needed. Could have used some water glasses but the wine glasses worked just as well. Nice town with great food choices and beautiful scenery. Close to Lake Champlain. If ever back in the area, we would rent again!

This is a decent apartment, within walking distance to downtown Winooski, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The kitchen, bathroom, bed, and living space are all nice, but there is not much effort to make it a nice place to stay. Maybe it's a lack of communication between the owner and property manager. We ended up waiting an hour for the code to access the property ("not shared" through the website) - no apology. The trash cans were not emptied, there were dead spiders and cobwebs in most of the ceiling corners, no bath soap or shampoo, a single roll of TP, etc. Vines are growing through the blinds around the AC.

Beware

Notified owner of broken kitchen faucet day 1, leaking into cabinet. Repaired 9 days later, washed dishes in bathroom sink and mopped up water daily. No dishwaher, no dish rack and no dishtowels. All dishes found were sticky with food. Comforter sprayed heavily with Febreze. Smoke detector started alarming every 5 mins day 3, owner dropped off AA batteries. I purchased 9V, no reimbursement.

I booked this about a month and a half prior to the trip. On the day of, at 10am (check in would have been 3 or 4pm), I received an emailed stating that my reservation was cancelled with no explanation. ON THE DAY OF! After contacting the owner I received a message telling me that there was a double booking. I’ve rented through VRBO for 4 years and I have never experienced a double booking let alone a cancellation the day of.
