Great cabin, with lots of extras that made it the perfect stay.

Lovely, clean, well equipped chalet within the woods, where we watched black squirrels and magnificent views of Mont Blanc across the valley. François the owner is justifiably proud of his chalet and very helpful so that when our arrival was delayed 3 hours due to strikes he kindly picked us up from Chamonix Sud. The walk from the chalet to the Savoy begginers ski area took about 15 minutes with a further 5 minutes to Chamonix centre and was not a problem with two children aged 5 and 6 and all our skiing gear, although the final short road to the chalet was icey and required care. The less sure footed in the party found spiked clip on shoe soles useful.
Thank you François for lovely holiday.

Beautiful House Perfect for Groups
Communication with François was speedy and easy. Check in was simple with a tour of the chalet. On a snowy day you'll have fun skiing into the yard from the lift. About 15 minutes walk to downtown Chamonix! The chalet is beautiful and perfect for about 10-11 people. Overall a very pleasant stay.

propreté absolue , chalet assez ancien , grande salle a manger , petit coin cheminée salon., agréable coin extérieur,.

We arrived at the chalet travel weary and excited to settle in, but the owner insisted on staying with us and conducting a 45-minute tour around the house and grounds, focusing on all the things we could not touch, all the places we could not go, all of the things we could not do, and all of the supplies we would have to replace if we used them. (The owner has a framed picture of his House Rules hanging on the wall, which is very appropriate.) The house is indeed quite beautiful and in a beautiful location, but we were too terrified of damaging any of the wood (much of it unfinished) or antiques to enjoy it much. Another significant problem was that two of the bedrooms are upstairs with no (accessible) toilet on that floor. There was a toilet up there but it was off limits. Finally, the master bedroom has a beautiful (antique) glass-paned door opening to the deck, but with no other windows to open for ventilation. It being summer and very sunny, it was hot in there. Of course, we were not allowed to open the antique door. I don't believe the owner is really ready to be in the business of renting out his house to strangers.
