About this house rental
Comfortable and spacious 5-room house and fitted kitchen with garden, quiet location near the center of a city of art and culture. In addition to the charm of Pézenas, you will appreciate all the beauty of the hinterland. It is an old family house completely renovated while having kept its original character. It is located 200 meters from the city's central course. It has an independent entrance on a very calm garden although close to the agricultural high school. The layout of the rooms is that of traditional bourgeois houses: on the ground floor, a fitted kitchen and a basement with shower and sink. On the first floor, a spacious bedroom, a room converted into a game or meeting room, a bathroom and a WC. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms: one with two twin beds and the other with a double bed.
Travelers have a separate entrance. They have unrestricted rights to the whole house except for a room downstairs used as an office by myself.

Le Gîte Piscénois is a traditional, charming, and very comfortable French property in the heart of Pézenas. It is so well equipped with everything you could need - it lacks nothing and all is very thoughtfully provided. The property is only a minute's walk from the centre of Pézenas, a town full of history and wonderful places to eat. The road network also makes it an excellent base for exploring in all directions.
Eric and Paule-Marie are perfect hosts providing very useful local information but without imposing in any way at all.
Le Gîte Piscénois is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our Easter stay in this Gite in central Pezenas. Big rooms, fully equipped kitchen, garden tables, barbecue... all perfect. The hosts are really caring and helped us enormously. Thanks to Eric and Paule Marie.

We loved walking less than five minutes for coffee, a croissant, or a number of nice restaurants and cafes. The only minor drawback was that when we booked we thought that there were more than two toilets in the house. All in all a very good value for a taste of living in a well kept but older French home. Pezenas is far from bursting with tourists, but has a charm of its own, is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and is very close to the sea and the mountains. The food and wines were excellent and not expensive. The large and bustling Saturday market was a treat. Great experience!

There's a large garden - unfortunately it was cold or rainy during our stay.. The best part is that it's only a short walk the center of town. We had some problems with being cold and losing internet, but Erick always responded immediately..

Vackert franskt hus med inhägnad trädgård nära Gamla stan i Pezenas
Mycket bra boende i vackert hus i tre våningar! Bra sovrum o badrum samt mycket välutrustat kök. Omtänksamt värdpar som informerade om allt vad staden Pezenas med omgivningar hade att erbjuda, och det är mycket! För oss som reste med hund så var den inhägnade trädgården viktig och värdefull! Huset ligger med endast några minuters gångavstånd till Gamla stan med caféer, bagerier och mängder av små butiker!

Nous avons passés quelques jours magnifiques dans cette jolie maison traditionelle au coeurs de Pézenas. On a trouvé tout dont on a avait besoin pour un séjour agréable et c'est surtout grâce aux admirables hôtes Paule-Marie et Eric qu'on a découvert la scène culturelle de cette ville palpitante et vivante en Languedoc! On revient dès que possible!

La campagne en ville
Dans cette maison tout proche du centre ville, la campagne est encore là : oiseaux, nature, arbres... le charme du lieu tient au fait que la maison ancienne soit restée sans être défigurée, même si les équipements de vie moderne y sont tous. Et l’accueil des propriétaires ajoute encore au charme d’un séjour dans ce lieu très reposant : leur courtoisie et leur culture sont un régal !

Charming house with lots of character in a great location. Kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of space for a family of 4 adults with three good size bedrooms. Eric and Paule - Marie were very welcoming and helpful. Overall highly recommended

An exceptional stay under exceptional circumstances
"Character house *** with well-equipped garden, quiet location near city center" is an accurate host's introduction to this Pezenas, France gite. It's also quite modest. From the attractive private outdoor space to an extremely well-equipped kitchen and spacious comfortable bedrooms, the physical environment is excellent. What sets this property apart from all others we have experienced is the hosts. They are a traveler's dream couple.

Great property in fabulous location!
We had a wonderful stay in this historic family home within an easy walk of everything Pezenas has to offer. Our hosts live in the adjoining home (it belonged to the owner's grandfather), so they were available to answer questions and help when we needed it. The house is very well-equipped, with comfortable beds and good linens. Bedrooms and kitchen/dining room are large and comfortable.
Stairs are solid and even, so most everyone can navigate them without a problem . Two of the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor (which is 2nd floor in European calculation), so keep that in mind if anyone is mobility-challenged.
We loved sitting out in the beautiful garden for meals and wine, and our dog was especially happy to have his own fenced area in which to relax.
The only drawback is the absence of a proper living room/lounge. There is a small space on the second floor outside the bathroom/WC, but it isn't conducive to hanging out and relaxing. The kitchen table is big and we mostly sat there or in the beautiful garden.
I highly recommend this home for visits to Pezenas, a most wonderful little town!

Pezenas was terrific
Eric and Paule Marie are terrific hosts, and added greatly to our enjoyment of Pezenas. The house was comfortable, everything was as advertised, and there were historical details that made it that much more interesting. If you love small but vibrant French villages (as we do), Pezenas gave you a surprise around every corner. Glad we picked this place.

Une situation exceptionnelle
Très beau gite, ou les propriétaires sont aux petits soins pour que le séjour soit des plus agréable. Très bien situé, on peut découvrir la ville à pied, et des environs qui nous laissent le choix entre la Terre et la Mer. L'environnement est tellement riche, que nous n'en avons pas fait le tour en 15 jours, et les propriétaires ont de précieux conseils pour vous guider.
Et bien sûr, le gîte est parfait pour accueillir les animaux (chat et chien!).
Une adresse que l'on ne peut que référencer en y allant les yeux fermés.

Un beau séjour à Pezenas!
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette jolie maison de ville qui se situe à deux pas du centre de Pezenas.
Très bien équipée, bonne literie et grand espace.
Le jardin et la terrasse ombragée permettent de profiter d’un espace extérieur très appréciable.
Sans oublier le très bon accueil des propriétaires et leurs conseils de visites.
Nous recommandons cette location pour une famille ou un couple.

Accueillies par nos propriétaires comme si nous étions de la famille, nous avons découvert cette maison où rien ne manque, avec 3 chambres très spacieuses. Très bien située, à deux pas du centre de ce magnifique village Pézenas. Au calme, nous avons pu apprécier le jardin et la mer qui n' est pas très loin.
Eric et Paule Marie sont des hôtes chaleureux, disponibles et heureux de nous faire decouvrir leur village et sa culture ainsi que leur région.

Charming House, Ideally situated
The house is lovely and exceptionally well equipped. Eric and Marie are charming hosts. The house is very close to the old town, so an easy walk to restaurants and the market, but also very near the countryside which was ideal for walking our dog. The garden is dog proof, and has plenty of shade which we were glad of as it was a lot hotter during our stay than expected.

Wir haben 10 sehr angenehme Tage in Pézenas verbracht. Die überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieter haben wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns sofort heimisch gefühlt haben.
Pézenas bietet ein vielseitiges Angebot vom Bummeln durch die historische Altstadt bis zu interessanten kulturellen Veranstaltungen. Der Strand ist mit dem Auto in 30 min. zu erreichen und auch das Umland bietet lohnende Ausflugsziele.
Fazit: nous serons heureux de revenir.

Great hosts, charming house and a brilliant location
A lovely old house with a garden, just 2 minutes walk to the centre of town. Most meals were eaten on the patio in the shade, watching the plums drop from the tree in the garden and checking out the fish. Hard to believe we were so close to town. Eric was a great host and made us feel like friends. A throughly enjoyable stay.

Everything we expected and more. Excellent hosts. Great town, loads to do.
M. Eric & Mme. Paule are excellent hosts and came to our rescue more than once during our visit. The rooms are large and cool. The wifi is excellent. Safe and scenic parking 100m away at the old Gare du Nord. Pezenas is a historic town with loads of artisan shops. Plenty of good restaurants. Ask Eric about the Bio supermarket. Visit Bouzigues and go the whole hog on oysters and Picpoul. The Grau d'Agde is a treat as is Marseillan. Ludovic there can rent you a self drive boat (sans permit) for a voyage through the lock to a very colourful restaurant (La Gangette). You must be on time for both of these. Due to a blustery morning we delayed departure and got to the lock just after lunch closure. We would definitely go back there again. There is a "Poulan" festival that is a must see if you are lucky enough to be there at the time. Ask Eric. It involves a multi manned "Chinese Dragon", but the Pezenas one is supposed to be a foal. Parents and children play music and dance as they follow the parade.

Très belle demeure spacieuse
Le gîte piscénois est une demeure avec beaucoup de charme, spacieuse, très bien équipée et située près du centre ville (on peut s'y rendre à pied en quelques minutes, et en même tems, garer la voiture juste à côté de la maison, ce qui est bien pratique). L'accueil fut très chaleureux, Eric le propriétaire est très attentionné.
Un grand merci de nous avoir si bien accueilli, je recommande sans hésiter !

Séjour dans une maison typique du sud de la France (Pezenas, Languedoc/Roussillon)
Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine chez Paule-Marie et Eric. Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux dans une belle grande maison de caractère et son agréable jardin, où nous avons pu échanger avec nos hôtes.
Paule-Marie et Eric ont le souci de leurs hôtes.
L'emplacement du gîte est bien appréciable, il est à quelques minutes à pied du centre historique de Pezenas, avec toutes les commodités (boulangerie/pâtisserie, marché local, restos). De plus, c'est un emplacement ideal pour rayonner et visiter cette belle région. D'ailleurs, les hôtes ont élaboré un cahier contenant différentes informations utiles. Nous avons pu profiter des circuits suggérés afin de visiter les alentours, je crois que nous avons rien manquer, nous avons fait de belles découvertes.

Très agréable séjour dans une maison particulièrement chaleureuse
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison magnifique, dans son "jus", mais dégageant une atmosphère particulièrement sereine. La situation de la maison à 2 pas du centre ville permet de tout faire à pied : commerces, promenades, piscine, etc... tout en étant située dans un endroit calme.
La maison est très bien équipée, rien ne manque. Les propriétaires sont très chaleureux et très disponibles.
Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
